Abstract: A configurable Fresnel lens support structure can include two half-circle support structures deployable at each side of a screen associated with a Fresnel lens and at least one ring clamp attached to each of the half-circle support structures at a center of each of the half-circle support structures. Abstract: A system for processing patient data associated with a joint of a patient. The system comprising a computing device executing instructions to generate a 3D patient bone model of the joint in a non-weighted pose. The instructions rearrange 3D first and second bone models in order to mimic a weighted pose of the joint of the patient from a 2D image of the joint of the patient in a weighted pose by performing the steps of: generating a plurality of 2D projections of poses of the 3D patient bone model; comparing the plurality of 2D projections to contour lines of the first bone and the second bone in the 2D image; identifying particular 2D projections that best-fit a shape and size of the contour lines; and arranging the 3D first and second bone models relative to each other according to orientations represented by the particular 2D projections that were identified.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to the transdermal delivery of various compounds. In some aspects, transdermal delivery may be facilitated by the use of a hostile biophysical environment. One set of embodiments provides a composition for topical delivery comprising a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor and/or a salt thereof, and optionally, a hostile biophysical environment and/or a nitric oxide donor. In some cases, the composition may be stabilized using a combination of a stabilization polymer (such as xanthan gum, KELTROL® BT and/or KELTROL® RD), propylene glycol, and a polysorbate surfactant such as Polysorbate 20, which combination unexpectedly provides temperature stability to the composition, e.g., at elevated temperatures such as at least 40° C. (at least about 104° F.), as compared to compositions lacking one or more of these.

Abstract: An assembly for a vehicle includes a vehicle bed elongated along an axis. The bed includes a first side and a second side with the axis between the first side and the second side. A first end and a second end are spaced from each other along the axis. The assembly includes a first airbag elongated along the axis on the first side of the bed and inflatable to an inflated position and a second airbag elongated along the axis on the second side of the bed and inflatable to an inflated position. An airbag extension is supported by the first airbag in the inflated position and abuts the second airbag in the inflated position. The assembly includes a tether extending from the first airbag to the second airbag. The tether abuts the airbag extension. The airbag extension is between the tether and the second end of the vehicle bed.

Abstract: Embodiments provide swallow-able devices, preparations and methods for delivering therapeutic agents (FAs) within the GI tract such as antibodies (AP-antibodies) or other proteins which neutralize PCSK9 molecules. Many embodiments provide a swallowable device e.g., a capsule for delivering TAs into the intestinal wall (IW). Embodiments also provide TA preparations that are configured to be contained within the capsule, advanced from the capsule into the IW and/or peritoneum and degrade to release the TA into the bloodstream to produce a therapeutic effect. The preparation can be operably coupled to delivery means having a first configuration where the preparation is contained in the capsule and a second configuration where the preparation is advanced out of the capsule into the IW. Embodiments are particularly useful for delivery of AP-antibodies and related TA's for the treatment of cholesterol, lipid and related conditions where such TAs are poorly absorbed and/or degraded within the GI tract.

Abstract: A system for coordinating that actions taken by multiple apparatuses useful for automatically adjusting tension on a retention member and thereby applying pressure or other forces to an object. Sensors may be used to sense changes associated with the object involved or the environment, and an actuator may be included that automatically rotates a rotating member such as a gear or pulley to automatically adjust tension on the retention member. The adjustments in tension may be made performed automatically and many times per second based on control signals from control logic responsive to the sensors. Individual apparatuses may coordinate their activities according to input received from one or more sensors, and according to a control circuit, or multiple collaborating control circuits. The control circuit(s) may be configured to adapt automatically over time to optimize the overall behavior of the system.
