  • Patent number: 11825347
Abstract: For switching between packet duplication operating modes, methods, apparatus, and systems are disclosed. One apparatus includes a processor and a transceiver that communicates with a mobile communication network via a radio bearer. The processor determines whether PDCP packet duplication associated with the PDCP protocol entity is to be activated and, if so, communicates with a mobile communication network according to a packet duplication mode of operation. Otherwise, the processor determines whether a split threshold value of the PDCP protocol entity is set to a predefined value, communicates with the mobile communication network according to a first split bearer mode of operation in response to determining that the split threshold value is set to the predefined value, and communicates with the mobile communication network according to a second split bearer mode of operation in response to determining that the split threshold value is not set to the predefined value.

  • Patent number: 11821723
Abstract: A peripheral device that is used with a mixed reality system that is thrown by the user of the mixed reality system and captures scene and mapping data of the area the peripheral is thrown into. Upon capturing the scene and mapping data, the peripheral transmits the data (in some embodiments, including processed results of evaluation of the data) to the mixed reality system. The mixed reality system displays a visual representation of the scene and mapping data on a near eye display. In some embodiments, the visual representation appears in real space enabling an effect where the user of the mixed reality system can see through walls or other obstructions. In some embodiments, the peripheral is configured to detonate upon the satisfaction of a variable set of conditions.

  • Patent number: 11825573
Abstract: In an auto vibrancy mode, a vibrancy value for a lighting load may be automatically determined based on a selected color setting for the lighting load. The automatically determined vibrancy value may also be configured to emit light from the lighting load at or above a target CRI value for the selected color setting. The selected color setting may be a CCT value on the black-body curve or an x-y chromaticity value. If the selected color setting is CCT value on the black-body curve, the automatically determined vibrancy value may be a pre-defined vibrancy value that is configured to emit light from the lighting load at or above the target CRI value for the selected CCT value. If the selected color setting is an x-y chromaticity value, the automatically determined vibrancy value may be based on the distance between the selected x-y chromaticity value and the black-body curve.

  • Patent number: 11822468
Abstract: A method for objective code branch verification executes code branch annotations to assess developer-specified pass conditions for each code branch that are indicative of whether or not the code branch is functioning as originally intended by the author of the code. The method includes maintaining and dynamically updating both a counter value and a pass indicator status in association with each of multiple annotated code branches defined within a code body during execution of the code body. The counter value for each annotated code branch represents a number of times the annotated code branch has executed within a current run-time environment, and the pass indicator status indicates satisfaction or non-satisfaction of a pass condition identified within the code branch that is determined based on the counter value for the associated code branch.

  • Patent number: 11825556
Abstract: At switch-on or when recovering from lack of coverage, a UE determines first frequency bands corresponding to an initial MCC of a country in which the UE currently is located (402). The frequency bands include a first set of frequency bands associated with a network carrier to which the UE is subscribed and a second set of frequency bands not associated with the network carrier (404). The UE scans the first set of frequency bands (406). In response to detecting a new MCC and determining that no service is available within the first set of frequency bands (408), the UE scans a third set of frequency bands preferred by the UE within a second plurality of frequency bands corresponding to the new MCC (410). In response to determining that no service is available within the third set of frequency bands, the UE scans the second set of frequency bands (412).
