Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method for real-time visualization of a material during ultrasonic non-destructive testing. The system includes a graphical user interface (GUI) capable of showing a three-dimensional (3-D) image of a composite laminate constructed of a series of two-dimensional (2-D) cross sections. The GUI is capable of displaying the 3-D image as each additional 2-D cross section is scanned by an ultrasonic testing apparatus in real time or near real time, including probable defect regions that contain a flaw such as a hole, crack, wrinkle, or foreign object within the composite. Furthermore, in one embodiment, the system includes an artificial intelligence capable of highlighting defect areas within the 3-D image in real time or near real time and providing data regarding each defect area, such as the depth, size, and/or type of each defect.

Abstract: A touch sensor system includes touch sensors, drive-sense circuits (DSCs), memory, and a processing module. A DSC drives a first signal via a single line coupling to a touch sensor and simultaneously senses, when present, a second signal that is uniquely associated with a user. The DSC processes the first signal and/or the second signal to generate a digital signal that is representative of an electrical characteristic of the touch sensor. The processing module executes operational instructions (stored in the memory) to process the digital signal to detect interaction of the user with the touch sensor and to determine whether the interaction of the user with the touch sensor compares favorably with authorization. When not authorized, the processing module aborts execution of operation(s) associated with the interaction of the user with the touch sensor. Alternatively, when authorized, the processing module facilitates execution of the operation(s).

Abstract: A method executed by a computing device includes obtaining, using a securely passing process, control over a first block of a blockchain of an object distributed ledger in response to a change of contingency status of the first block. The method further includes determining whether the triggered outcome is valid for a first contingency action token based on the change of contingency status of the first block. When the triggered outcome is valid for the first contingency action token, the method further includes updating the first contingency action token to indicate that the triggered outcome is valid for the first contingency action token to produce an updated first contingency action token. Abstract: An example luminaire includes a white light source (e.g. LEDs emitting white light in a region of the CIE color chart within three Macadam ellipses below the black body curve) and a violet light source emitting light in a wavelength range of approximately 380 nm to 450 nm (e.g. 405 nm LEDs) for deactivating bacteria, such as Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) on a surface exposed to illumination from the luminaire. A controller coupled to the sources pulses the violet light source at an irregular rate and interval over a time period to apply a deactivation dosage of the violet light to bacteria within range of the emissions. When ON, the violet source emits light for deactivating bacteria at an intensity higher than the concurrent intensity of the white light.

Abstract: A computer generates historical time and velocity data for vehicles based on data from sensor(s) observing the vehicles. The computer determines, based on the historical time and velocity data, a control policy that controls movement of the vehicles. The control policy is represented as a weighted combination of a set of predefined policies. Determining the control policy comprises calculating weights or parameters for a weighted combination of the set of predefined policies that minimizes a residual error term. The residual error term is computed based on a difference between the historical time and velocity data and predicted time and velocity data associated with the weighted combination of the set of predefined policies. The computer determines an action plan based on the determined nonlinear control policy. The computer transmits, to a machine, a control signal causing the machine to perform or simulate at least a part of the determined action plan.
