Abstract: A computer-implemented method for providing explainable diagnostics fora water metering system. The method can include receiving data from a water metering system regarding a potential issue in the water metering system; curating the data with a machine learning model; receiving ground truth data associated with the curated data from a user of the water metering system; comparing the curated data with the ground truth data; and optimizing the machine learning model based on the comparing.

Abstract: Techniques are provided to facilitate tracking events associated with a user interface display of an application at runtime. In at least one implementation, one or more information structures that associate an event tracking indicator with a view selector are stored, wherein the event tracking indicator indicates an event to be tracked, and the view selector indicates one or more constraints to be matched to select a view of the application. During execution of the application, the view selector is evaluated with views used by the application to determine whether each of the one or more constraints of the view selector matches properties of the views. In response to determining that each of the one or more constraints of the view selector matches the properties of at least one of the views, an occurrence of the event indicated by the event tracking indicator associated with the view selector is tracked.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for receiving, at a mobile computing device that is associated with a called user, a call from a calling computing device that is associated with a calling user; in response to receiving the call, determining, by the mobile computing device, that data associated with the called user indicates that the called user will not respond to the call; in response to determining that the called user will not respond to the call, inferring, by the mobile computing device, an informational need of the calling user; and automatically providing, from the mobile computing device to the calling computing device, information associated with the called user and that satisfies the inferred informational need of the calling user.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve a CDN utilizing a Direct Server Return (DSR) request command to create a tunnel from one content server to another content server of the CDN. Through the DSR tunnel, a request for content may be served from a content server that is more advantageous for the CDN for any number of reasons, such as from a content server that is logically closer to the content server. In determining when a DSR tunnel is created to provide the content, the CDN may access a database storing various information concerning the CDN, such as the location of egress gateways of the CDN in relation to one or more content servers, connecting network location information, the capabilities of one or more content servers, and/or load information of available content servers.

Abstract: An assembly for a vehicle includes a vehicle roof and a panel rotatably connected to the vehicle roof. The panel is rotatable away from the vehicle roof from a stowed position to a deployed position. The assembly includes an airbag supported on the panel. The airbag is inflatable from the panel in a vehicle-forward direction when the panel is in the deployed position.

Abstract: Devices and methods for use with syringes are disclosed. A plunger rod includes an outer housing having proximal and distal ends and a lumen between the ends, as well as an inner body axially slidable within the lumen between a first and second position. The inner body has a retention member extending therefrom. When the inner body is in the first position, the plunger rod has a first length, and, when the inner body is in the second position, the plunger rod has a second length greater than the first length. When the inner body is in the second position, the inner body is configured to be rotated relative to the outer housing until the retention member is received within the outer housing to preclude the inner body from moving in the axial direction.

Abstract: An exhaust system includes a light-off catalyst, an exhaust system component, and at least one H2O trap. The exhaust system component is upstream from the light-off catalyst and includes catalyst material, the catalyst material configured to store hydrocarbons during a period when the light-off catalyst is warming up to a light-off temperature. The at least one H2O trap is at or upstream from the exhaust system component and is configured to perform H2O adsorption and desorption to increase a length of time for the exhaust system component to reach a hydrocarbon release temperature and prevent the exhaust system component from reaching the hydrocarbon release temperature prior to the light-off catalyst reaching the light-off temperature.

Abstract: Methods, endoscopic systems, and non-transitory, machine-readable storage media for adjusting an exposure of an endoscopic system are described. In an embodiment, the methods include emitting light with a light source into a proximal end of an endoscope light pipe; generating received light signals with a photodetector based on light received through the endoscope light pipe by the photodetector; displaying, with a display module, images based on the received light signals having a current image brightness; monitoring the received light signals for changes to the current image brightness; and adjusting a light source illuminance level, and in some embodiments a photodetector gain and exposure time, based on the current image brightness to maintain a target image brightness of the display module. In an embodiment, a brightness adjustment step size is less than a just-noticeable difference in brightness of an eye and is directly proportional to the current image brightness.

Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to conditionally delaying fulfillment of client update requests in order to preserve network bandwidth and other resources that may be consumed when an ecosystem of linked assistant devices are repeatedly pinging servers for updates. In some implementations, a server device can delay and/or bypass fulfillment of a client request based on one or more indications that certain requested data is currently, or is expected to be, expired. For example, a user that is modifying assistant settings via a cellular device can cause an update notification to be pushed to several other assistant devices before the user finishes editing the assistant settings. Implementations herein can limit fulfillment of update requests from the client devices according to certain criteria—such as whether the user is continuing to modify the assistant settings from their cellular device.

Abstract: A method is provided for monitoring the occurrence of pressure anomalies due to FDI in near real time during a hydraulic fracturing operation carried out on an active well that is located near one or more passive monitoring wells. The method includes the steps of obtaining raw pressure sensor data from the one or more passive monitoring wells, processing the pressure sensor data with the FDI analysis module, and determining if the rate of change for averaged pressure sensor data exceeds a preset threshold value that indicates the likelihood of a pressure anomaly. The methods can be configured to autonomously alert an operator of the likelihood of a pressure anomaly and with guidance on resolving the anomalies.

Abstract: A television with an interactive portal and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the television, the television is deployed to provide an interactive portal in a hospitality establishment having multiple rooms, such as a hotel. The television is associated with a room and includes a processor, memory, tuner, panel, and audio drive disposed in an interconnected busing architecture. The television generates a default interactive portal as well as a guest-specific interactive portal, which is generated from a guest configuration profile having information including guest identification, a guest channel preference presentation, and a guest service preference presentation with guest account information. The guest configuration profile may also enable the creation of a local area wireless network with substantially the same behavior as the guest's home wireless network.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for adjusting capacity in a networking environment. A networking system comprising clients, servers, load balancers, and/or other devices may expand and contract network capacity as needed. When expanding network capacity, load balancers may instruct client devices to connect to servers that are part of the expanded network. When network capacity is reduced, a server and/or a load balancer my instruct client devices to close a connection with a first server and establish a connection with a second server. Client devices may seamlessly begin using the connection with a second server without having to wait for a connection timeout with the first server.

Abstract: Methods and computer storage media are provided for generating entries for documents in a forward index. A document and its document identification are received, in addition to static features that are query-independent. The document is parsed into tokens to form a token stream corresponding to the document. Relevant data used to calculate rankings of document is identified and a position of the data is determined. The entry is then generated from the document identification, the token stream of the document, the static features, and the positional information of the relevant data. The entry is stored in the forward index.
