Abstract: System for direct battery electrolyte and supercapacitor heating and temperature maintenance at low temperatures when coupled to a battery and/or supercapacitor having a core with an electrolyte having ions therein and having inputs, with one of the inputs having characteristics of a frequency-dependent resistor and inductor series coupled to a voltage source, the device including: at least one power storage and source couplable to the one input; and a controller configured to control the power storage and source to provide alternating between a positive input current and a negative input current at the one input, wherein the controller is configured to control the power storage and source to provide the alternating positive and negative input currents at a high-frequency configured to substantially maximize an internal heating effect of the ions within the electrolyte to generate heat and raise a temperature of the electrolyte.

Abstract: A tobacco can cooler comprises a lid comprising a lid inner shell, and a base comprising a base inner shell. The lid inner shell has a lid inner shell sidewall and a lid first end wall defining a first tobacco can chamber section while the base inner shell has a base inner shell sidewall and a base first end wall defining a second tobacco can chamber section. When the lid is engaged with the base, the first tobacco can chamber section and the second tobacco can chamber section may define a tobacco can chamber. The lid may comprise a lid outer shell sealed to the lid inner shell and/or the base may comprise a base outer shell sealed to the base inner shell. Sealing of the outer shell(s) to the inner shell(s) may create void(s) which may comprise an optional cooling media.

Abstract: An ASR model includes a first encoder configured to receive a sequence of acoustic frames and generate a first higher order feature representation for a corresponding acoustic frame in the sequence of acoustic frames. The ASR model also includes a second encoder configured to receive the first higher order feature representation generated by the first encoder at each of the plurality of output steps and generate a second higher order feature representation for a corresponding first higher order feature frame. The ASR model also includes a decoder configured to receive the second higher order feature representation generated by the second encoder at each of the plurality of output steps and generate a first probability distribution over possible speech recognition hypothesis. The ASR model also includes a language model configured to receive the first probability distribution over possible speech hypothesis and generate a rescored probability distribution.

Abstract: A multi-bar linkage assembly for a pivotally mounted window sash and, more particularly, a high-capacity hinge assembly is disclosed. The hinge assembly is less susceptible to deflection during operation and may be used with and support window vents more than 100 in. tall and weighing more than 400 lbs. Notwithstanding the hinge assembly’s wide range of use, the hinge assembly stack height does not exceed the industry standard of 0.625 in. for conventional hinge assemblies incapable of use in heavy-duty applications. The hinge assembly may be used with standard form window frames without requiring redesigning or otherwise modifying the window frame’s standard form cross-section.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for implementing automated user interface testing with integrated machine learning models. Systems and methods for detecting and preemptively correcting flow path errors are disclosed. Systems and methods for minimizing user input and optimizing testing efficiency are disclosed. A result dashboard is disclosed in which testing results and errors are displayed and a user may interact with interactive testing reports.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and non-transitory computer-readable medium for transition-coded media, measuring engagement of transition-coded media, and distribution of components of transition-coded media. For instance, the method may include: obtaining a media file; determining whether the media file includes transition-coded media; in response to determining the media file includes the transition-coded media, setting up a dynamic media environment; detecting whether a user is interacting with the transition-coded media; and in response to detecting the user is interacting with the transition-coded media, executing the transition-coded media with the dynamic media environment.

Abstract: Innovations in encoder-side decisions that use the results of hash-based block matching are presented. For example, some of the innovations relate to ways of building hash tables that include some (but not all) uniform blocks. Other innovations relate to ways of determining motion vector resolution based on results of hash-based block matching. Still other innovations relate to scene change detection, including long-term reference picture selection and picture quality determination during encoding.

Abstract: Theft deterrent systems and methods using onboard weight sensors are disclosed herein. An example method can include obtaining an image of a location where a scale is located in a vehicle, the scale being used for cargo weight measurement, determining from the image, when the location of the scale is located is empty, determining a weight value output by the scale, determining an offset for the scale when the weight value is greater than a weight threshold, and adjusting the scale using the offset to zero the scale.

Abstract: In exemplary embodiments, methods and systems are provided for controlling braking of a trailer that is coupled to a vehicle. In an exemplary embodiment, a system is provided that includes: one or more sensors configured to obtain sensor data for a vehicle coupled to a trailer, the sensor data including: a measure of engagement of a brake pedal of the vehicle; and a deceleration of the vehicle; and a processor that is coupled to the one or more sensors and that is configured to at least facilitate dynamically controlling braking of the trailer, via instructions provided by the processor to a braking system of the trailer, based on both the measure of engagement of the brake pedal and the deceleration of the vehicle.

Abstract: The present document describes techniques associated with a blind battery connector. The blind battery connector described herein enables a user to blindly engage, safely and securely, a battery connector with a system-side connector. In aspects, the blind battery connector includes polarity-oriented magnets at both the battery connector and the system-side connector to automatically align and engage the battery connector with the system-side connector with correct orientation. The magnets may be embedded or removably assembled to the battery connector and the system-side connector. The blind battery connector controls initial alignment of the battery connector for coupling with the system-side connector and provides additional mechanical strength to the coupling against drop, vibration, and shock.

Abstract: An electronic information system which enables email based transactions comprises an information database storing information regarding a plurality of individuals in a group and selections available to individuals in the group. A first email message with a mailto hyperlink having a plurality of fields including actionable parameter is generated and sent. A reply email message is received in response to selection of the mailto hyperlink. The received email message includes the plurality of fields and the actionable parameter that indicates that a specific selection has been made. A processor performs the action indicated by the actionable parameter in response to the received email message, including updating the information database to indicate the specific selection that has been made.

Abstract: A rotor assembly includes a hub assembly and a shaft assembly. The hub assembly includes a hub and a first coupling, and the shaft assembly may be coupled to the hub assembly with a second coupling. The second coupling may be configured to facilitate rotation of the hub relative to a shaft of the shaft assembly. A rotor blade may be coupled to the hub assembly with a third coupling and be configured to rotate with the shaft. The first coupling may be configured to couple the hub to an actuator and transmit movements of the actuator to the hub to facilitate cyclic pitch control of the rotor blade. The rotor shaft may include arms and the hub may include a body coupled to the rotor blade by the third coupling and pairs of extensions that extend from a surface of the body to receive the arms.

Abstract: Examples described herein provide a method that includes performing an image analysis on an image of a layer of an object being manufactured by an additive manufacturing system to identify an exposed surface in the image of the layer. The method further includes performing a build simulation to generate a simulated distortion for the layer. The method further includes evaluating build data to determining a value of an influencing factor for the layer. The method further includes predicting at least one of a predicted distortion or a predicted re-coater interference for a next layer, using a machine learning model, based at least in part on the image analysis, the build simulation, and the build data. The method further includes implementing an action, based at least in part on the at least one of the predicted distortion or the predicted re-coater interference, to alter fabrication of the next layer.
