  • Patent number: 11787727
Abstract: The fabrication of sleeveless canes utilizes a preform with an array of glass canes in the preform. At least one tube-sleeve encircles the array of glass canes and is secured to the array of glass canes. The array of glass canes is moved into a furnace wherein the array of glass canes is heated. The furnace is maintained at a furnace temperature within the range of 2000° C. to 1700° C. and the array of glass canes is drawn from the furnace. The drawing of the array of glass canes both scales down the glass canes and elongates the glass canes. Maintaining the furnace at a furnace temperature within the range of 2000° C. to 1700° C. assures that the array of glass canes and the glass canes maintain their original shape.

  • Patent number: 11792141
Abstract: An automated messaging reply-to system can automatically select which message a potential reply message is replying to. The automated messaging reply-to system can obtain a message thread, a potential reply message, and a context. The automated messaging reply-to system can filter the message thread and generate model inputs based on the remaining messages, the potential reply message, and the context. The automated messaging reply-to system can apply the model input to a machine learning model, which can generate reply scores for the remaining messages. After generating reply scores, the automated messaging reply-to system can determine whether the remaining message with the highest reply score qualifies as an originating message being replied to. The automated messaging reply-to system can cause display of the potential reply message as a reply-to for the determined originating message.

  • Patent number: 11790173
Abstract: In various implementations described herein, a partial free-form natural language input may be received from a user at an input component of a computing device. The partial free-form natural language input may identify an entity without identifying a responsive action and may be directed by the user to an automated assistant that operates at least in part on the computing device. The partial free-form natural language input may be analyzed to identify the entity. Based on the identified entity, a plurality or superset of candidate responsive actions may be identified, filtered, and/or ranked based on one or more signals. The automated assistant may then provide output that recommends one or more of the candidate responsive actions based on the ranking and/or filtering.

  • Patent number: 11789821
Abstract: A computer system includes a baseboard management controller (BMC) configured to manage values of a plurality of variables stored in a flash via firmware. Managing the values of the plurality of variables includes generating a capsule containing a request for reading a value of a variable among the plurality of variables or overwriting the value of the variable with a new value. The capsule is then sent to the firmware, causing the firmware to access the flash to read the value of the variable or overwrite the value of the variable with the new value, and cause the value or the new value to be transmitted to the BMC. In response to receiving the value or new value of the variable, the BMC passes the value or the new value of the variable to a second computer system over an out-of-band network.
