Abstract: A monocopter includes a housing and a propeller connected to a shaft. The shaft is connected to a main motor that is fixed to the housing (e.g., mounted within the housing) such that upon operation of the main motor, the shaft rotates and the propeller rotates. A first counterweight is interfaced to a shaft of a first motor that is interfaced to the housing and a second counterweight is interfaced to a shaft of a second motor that is also interfaced to the housing such that the shaft of the first motor is in a plane that is perpendicular to the shaft of the second motor (e.g., the shafts are at right angles to each other). The main motor, the first motor and the second motor are controlled (e.g., using artificial intelligence) to enable stable flight of the monocopter.
Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are provided for determining a bid value for placing an advertisement onto advertising space available through an electronic marketplace. A method is used for calculating the option value of maintaining the advertisement in the advertising space during one or more periods of time. The option value may be based on expected profits and the estimated future value of maintaining the advertisement. The option value may then be used to calculate the bid price for placing the advertisement.

Abstract: A lithium ion battery includes a cathode including a cathode active material; an anode including silicon, a conductive carbon, lithium metal, or a combination of any two or more thereof; a separator; and an electrolyte including a lithium sulfonylimide salt, a dicarbonyl solvent, and a fluorinated ether solvent.
Abstract: A battery pack includes a housing and a plurality of cell module assemblies arranged within the housing. Each of the cell module assemblies includes a positive collector plate, a negative collector plate, and a plurality of battery cells. Each of the plurality of battery cells includes a positive terminal connected to the positive collector plate and a negative terminal connected to the negative collector plate. A number of the plurality of the cell module assemblies within the housing defines a capacity of the battery pack.

Abstract: A portable pool filter cleaning assembly is configured to retain a pool filter on support rod and allow the pool filter to spin from a spray of water. The spinning filter releases debris from the filter surface through centrifugal force. The assembly has drainage features to ensure proper drainage of water collected within the interior of the pool filter and enable proper spinning from the spray of water. The assembly utilizes a support rod with a bottom filter retainer that is conical in shape for engaging with the pool filter aperture. The bottom filter retainer may further have a bearing that enables the pool filter to rotate freely about the rod with very little force. The assembly may include a stand for securing the support rod on a hard surface, such as concrete or on an uneven lawn surface.
Abstract: The invention related to compounds of formula (I), and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, wherein R1 to R2, A, Y and L are as defined herein. The invention also relates to pharmaceutical compositions comprising these compounds, methods of using these compounds in the treatment of various diseases and disorders, processes for preparing these compounds and intermediates useful in these processes.

Abstract: Extending sockets, formed of accordions generally with buttons attached at their distal ends, for attaching to portable media players or portable media player cases. Cases having attached sockets serve purposes beyond protection of the player, such as managing a headset, attaching to belts or the like, forming stand legs to prop the player at a desired angle, forming grips for gaming, forming a grip for securely holding and manipulating player with one hand, and forming extended legs for wedging players that are phones between the ear and shoulder. The sockets are structured to allow headset cords to be wound around the accordions when the sockets are extended, to prevent the cords from tangling. Space in an attached case may be provided so that the sockets may be partially or fully retracted with headphone cords wrapped around them to save space.
