Abstract: Systems, devices, products, apparatuses, and/or methods for generating a road edge boundary for an edge of a road in an AV map for controlling an autonomous vehicle on a roadway by obtaining map data associated with a map of a geographic location including a roadway associated with one or more locations of one or more vehicles in the roadway during one or more traversals of the roadway, determining one or more prediction scores based on the map data, including one or more predictions of whether the plurality of elements include road edge boundary locations, and generating in the map a road edge boundary based on the one or more prediction scores.
Abstract: Methods and compounds are disclosed for wound healing by modulating autophagy. A formulation for modulating autophagy comprises a first modulating compound (FAM) selected from compounds having the general structure (I): wherein: L represents a linker selected from —C?C—, (a tolan), —CH?CH— (a stilbene, preferably trans); or —CRa?CRb— a stilbene derivative; where Ra and Rb are independently H or phenyl optionally substituted with —(R3)p or —(R4)q; R1 to R4 are independent substituents at any available position of the phenyl rings, preferably at 3, 3?, 4, 4?, and/or 5, 5?; and m, n, p, and q are independently 0, 1, 2, or 3 representing the number of substituents of the rings, respectively, but at least one of m or n must be ?1. Each R1 to R2 is independently selected from substituents described herein, including but not limited to hydroxyl, alkoxy, halo, halomethyl and glycosides. The formulation may also include an auxiliary autophagy modulating compound (AAM) as described herein.

Abstract: The compositions and methods described herein are topically applied to the skin with negligible or no skin irritation and can direct or prevent transport through the skin. The compositions contain neat ionic liquids, optionally in combination with a drug to be delivered. In a preferred embodiment, the compositions increase transdermal transport of the drug to be delivered. In some embodiments, the compositions disrupt bacterial biofilms. This is particularly beneficial in the treatment of antibiotic resistant skin infections. In other embodiments, the compositions direct delivery within the skin. In still other embodiments, the compositions prevent transfer of substances through the stratum corneum. The disclosed compositions and methods can be tuned and modified such that they can be used to treat or prevent a variety of different diseases and disorders.

Abstract: Described herein are systems and methods that improve the success rate of relocalization and eliminate the ambiguity of false relocalization by exploiting motions of the sensor system. In one or more embodiments, during a relocalization process, a snapshot is taken using one or more visual sensors and a single-shot relocalization in a visual map is implemented to establish candidate hypotheses. In one or more embodiments, the sensors move in the environment, with a movement trajectory tracked, to capture visual representations of the environment in one or more new poses. As the visual sensors move, the relocalization system tracks various estimated localization hypotheses and removes false ones until one winning hypothesis. Once the process is finished, the relocalization system outputs a localization result with respect to the visual map.

Abstract: Described herein includes sample liquid purification apparatus, systems, and techniques of use. The purification apparatus generally can operate to reduce a temperature of a precursor liquid within a beverage machine or appliance. For example, a thermally conductive body can define a heat sink having a tortuous path for propagation of the precursor therethough, facilitating temperature reduction. The purification apparatus can further generally operate to sanitize or otherwise reduce a level of contaminants in the precursor liquid. For example, an energy source, such as a light emitting diode, can be arranged or integrated with the thermally conductive body to emit ultraviolet radiation toward the precursor liquid within the thermally conductive body.
Abstract: A vaporizer assembly for an e-vaping device includes a heater coil structure, a set of electrical lead structures coupled to opposite ends of the heater coil structure, and a non-conductive connector structure connected to each of the electrical lead structures, such that the electrical lead structures are coupled together independently of the heater coil structure. The vaporizer assembly may contact a dispensing interface structure through the heater coil structure. The vaporizer assembly may heat pre-vapor formulation drawn from a reservoir by the dispensing interface. The heater coil structure may define a surface, and the vaporizer assembly may apply a mechanical force to the dispensing interface structure, such that the heater coil structure is in compression with the dispensing interface structure and the heater coil structure surface is substantially flush with a surface of the dispensing interface structure. The heater coil structure may define a three-dimensional surface.
