  • Patent number: 11783903
Abstract: A memory apparatus and method of operation are provided. The apparatus includes memory cells connected to one of a plurality of word lines and arranged in strings and configured to retain a threshold voltage. A control means is coupled to the plurality of word lines and the strings. The control means is configured to apply a primary predetermined voltage to a primary location of the memory apparatus following an erase operation of the memory cells while simultaneously applying a secondary predetermined voltage being lower than the primary predetermined voltage to a secondary location of the memory apparatus and measuring a leak current at the primary location. The control means then determines the erase operation passed in response to the leak current measured not being greater than a predetermined leak threshold.

  • Patent number: 11782193
Abstract: A liquid lens structure has an adjustable and continuous range of optical power. The liquid lens structure comprises a substrate layer and a deformable membrane which enclose a volume of liquid. The substrate layer is at least partially transparent in the optical band. The deformable membrane comprises a ground layer, two membrane layers, and two conductive layers. Each of the two conductive layers control electrical voltage applied to one of the membrane layers in reference to the ground layer, wherein each membrane layer deforms in response to applied electrical voltage. The deformation of the two membrane layers adjusts a curvature of the deformable membrane which provides the adjustable continuous range of optical power to the liquid lens structure.

  • Patent number: 11785105
Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to facilitate meter to meter matching for media identification. Example apparatus disclosed herein include an unknown signature comparer, a stack counter, and a reference database updater. The unknown signature comparer is to select a candidate unknown signature segment meeting a threshold length from a set of unknown signature segments collected at a first audience measurement location, and compare individual signatures of the candidate unknown signature segment with a collection of unknown signature segments collected at a second audience measurement location. The stack counter is to count a number of times that the candidate unknown signature segment matches unknown signature segments in the collection, and identify the candidate unknown signature segment as a matched signature segment when the number of times meets a counter threshold.

  • Patent number: 11780177
Abstract: A three-dimensional component is produced in a simplified molding operation. Expandable substrates, which are referred to as blanks, are created by compressing thermobonded nonwovens after heating the binder material above its melting temperature, and then cooling the compressed nonwovens so that the binder material hardens and holds the fibers of the nonwoven together in a compressed configuration with stored kinetic energy. Boards can be formed by laminating two or more blanks together and/or by laminating the blanks with other materials, including non-expendable materials. A mold for the component to be manufactured can be partially filled with a number of boards (or blanks) in a stacked, vertically, adjacent or even random orientation. In addition, the boards or blanks may be cut to create desired shapes of parts that can be placed in the mold.

  • Patent number: 11785474
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for providing multi-tier quasi-licensed spectrum wireless service via a common wireless access node such as a small-cell. In one embodiment, the quasi-licensed system utilizes multi-sector antennae to create antenna lobes adaptively according to parameters associated with different cell sectors, such as user traffic, random access requests, and/or interference. In one variant, when the user traffic or interference is determined to be very high in a particular sector, the sector is configured and activated based on the availability of low-noise spectrum. In another variant, when a new sector is created, the electrical power resources available for that sector are checked, and based on the amount of power available at that sector, either CBSD Category A or B status is allocated to that sector.

  • Patent number: 11783604
Abstract: A method for generating a ground truth mask for a microscope slide having a tissue specimen placed thereon includes a step of staining the tissue specimen with hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining agents. A first magnified image of the H&E stained tissue specimen is obtained, e.g., with a whole slide scanner. The H&E staining agents are then washed from the tissue specimen. A second, different stain is applied to the tissue specimen, e.g., a special stain such as an IHC stain. A second magnified image of the tissue specimen stained with the second, different stain is obtained. The first and second magnified images are then registered to each other. An annotation (e.g., drawing operation) is then performed on either the first or the second magnified images so as to form a ground truth mask, the ground truth mask in the form of closed polygon region enclosing tumor cells present in either the first or second magnified image.

  • Patent number: 11782878
Abstract: A deduplicated storage system storing objects receives a search term. Storage includes metadata and segments into which the objects have been split and deduplicated. The metadata includes fingerprint sequences according to which the segments should be assembled. A partial match is found when a prefix of the term is found at an end of a segment or a suffix is found at a beginning of the segment. A fingerprint of the segment having the partial match is recorded. A first sequence of fingerprints associated with a first object is read to check whether any fingerprints in the first sequence have been recorded. When a fingerprint in the sequence has been recorded, a check of a next fingerprint in the sequence is made to see if it has been recorded as having the partial match. If the next fingerprint has been recorded, the first object is reported as having the term.

  • Patent number: 11781013
Abstract: Described herein are thermoplastic composites including a polymer matrix, having a at least one semi-crystalline polyphthalamide (“PPA”) polymer, and at least one continuous reinforcing fiber. It was surprisingly discovered that incorporation of semi-crystalline PPA polymers, having a selected melt profile, into the polymer matrix provided for crack-free thermoplastic composites. Based at least in part on the semi-crystalline structure of PPA polymers, the thermoplastic composite can have improved tensile strength, chemical resistance and thermal stability, relative to composites incorporating an amorphous PPA polymer. The composites can be formed using melt impregnation techniques, well known in the art. The composites can be desirably used in a wide range of application settings including, but not limited to automotive, aerospace, automotive and oil and gas and mobile electronic device applications.
