Abstract: A heat sink includes a first flange, a second flange, and an accordion-shaped medial portion continuous between the first flange and the second flange. The first flange and the second flange are configured to be attached to a circuit board. The accordion-shaped medial portion includes troughs on a proximal side of the accordion-shaped medial portion and crests on a distal side of the accordion-shaped medial portion such that the heat sink is configured to disperse heat away from the circuit board.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in content providing, searching and/or hosting systems supported by or configured with devices, servers and/or platforms. The disclosed systems and methods provide a novel asset management and visualization framework that automatically generates and causes display of a unified asset centric analytics electronic interface. The framework composes selected data based on asset metrics and renders a display that conveys a unified, asset-centric analytics user interface. The framework is configured to track or monitor detailed metrics for a collection of assets, and filter, select, and present determined critical data within the UI, in some embodiments, as interactive, electronic cards and/or as an asset tree of information that is configured to be navigated upon display.

Abstract: In a method for efficiently guiding a driver of a vehicle through intersections, information regarding status of one or more traffic lights positioned at one or more intersections is received by a computing device or system associated with the driver or vehicle. A value of speed for the vehicle that, if matched by the driver, causes the vehicle to arrive at the intersection while the traffic light is green and avoids stopping as the vehicle moves through the intersection, is calculated. A dynamic visual or audio indicator is caused, by the computing device or system, to be presented to the driver via a display or speaker, respectively, of the computing device or system. Causing the dynamic indicator to be presented to the driver includes setting the dynamic indicator based on the calculated value of speed.

Abstract: A liveliness prediction output is provided from a liveliness biometric analysis task that is determined by a deep neural network based on an image provided from an image sensor wherein the liveliness biometric analysis task is performed in a deep neural network that includes a common feature extraction neural network and a plurality of task-specific neural networks including a face detection neural network, a body pose neural network and a liveliness neural network including a region of interest (ROI) detection neural network and a texture analysis neural network to determine the liveliness biometric analysis task by inputting the image to the common feature extraction neural network to determine latent variables. The latent variables can be input to the face detection neural network and the liveliness neural network. Output from the face detection neural network can be input to the ROI detection neural network.

Abstract: A method for programming a non-volatile memory structure, comprises initiating a two-dimensional fractional number of bits-per-cell programming scheme of a plurality of memory cells, wherein the memory structure comprises: (1) a first memory array comprising a first population of memory cells and the associated peripheral circuitry disposed below the first population of cells, (2) a second memory array positioned above the first memory array and comprising a second population of memory cells and associated peripheral circuitry disposed above the second population of cells, and (3) a data bus tap electrically coupling the first and second memory arrays. Further, the method comprises: (1) storing input data in data latches associated with the first array and with the second array. Additionally, the method comprises converting the stored data using data conversion logic implemented by a data path circuit of the first and second arrays and rewriting the converted data to the latches.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video encoding/decoding. In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes a processor that is configured to decode prediction information of a current block in a current coding tree unit (CTU) from a coded video bitstream. The prediction information is indicative of an intra block copy mode. The processor is configured to determine a search range for the intra block copy mode based on a size of the current CTU, and determine a block vector that points to a reference block in a same picture as the current block and within the determined search range, the reference block having reconstructed samples buffered in a reference sample memory. Further, the processor is configured to reconstruct at least a sample of the current block based on the reconstructed samples of the reference block that are retrieved from the reference sample memory.

Abstract: A device for generating a scented mist of an atomized liquid fragrance oil includes an atomizer complex, a reservoir assembly, a drainage tube, and a vacuum tube. The atomizer complex can atomize the liquid fragrance oil into a scented mist and deliver the scented mist to air outside of the atomizer complex, where the liquid fragrance oil the fragrance oil that is not atomized into the scented mist delivered to the air outside of the atomizer complex includes collected oil that is collected and drained to a reservoir assembly. A drainage tube extends from a bottom area of the atomizer complex into the liquid fragrance oil. The device can filter the liquid fragrance oil in the reservoir assembly and the collected oil from the atomizer complex that drained down the drainage tube. The vacuum tube can suction the filtered liquid fragrance oil and the collected oil into the atomizer complex for atomization.

Abstract: Examples are described that relate to correcting line bias in images. One example provides a method comprising receiving, from an imaging device, a plurality of images each comprising a plurality of lines of pixels. The method further comprises, for each image of the plurality of images, for each line of pixels of the plurality of lines of pixels, based at least on one or more pixel values of one or more pixels in the line of pixels, determining a line bias correction for the line, and applying the line bias correction to each pixel in the line, the line bias correction comprising an offset applied to each pixel value in the line of pixels.

Abstract: A method for equalizing a wireless communication channel includes transmitting a data signal over a primary channel. During transmission of the data signal, a corresponding data signal is sent over a secondary channel. The information received from the secondary channel is compared to the information received from the primary channel and differences between the information received from each of the channels are observed. These differences are used as inputs to an equalizer algorithm that may be used to reduce distortion of the data signal sent over the primary channel.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for avoidance of damage to concealed mechanical elements during construction or repair of a structure. In one embodiment, a tag is provided for installation on a plumbing or similar element prior to such element being concealed by further construction. The tag is adapted to engage a concealed element in such a way that an indicator portion of the tab remains visible after further concealing structure is installed. The visible tab's location identifies the location of concealed elements and is preferably provided with indicia identifying such purpose. In a further embodiment of the invention, adhesive indicator tape is used in conjunction with an indicator tab. The indicator tape is adapted to be applied over concealing structure to generally identify the location and extent of concealed elements that may be susceptible to puncture or damage during subsequent construction or repair phases of a project.

Abstract: A ceiling fan brace bracket assembly with a bracket, at least two holes, at least one first screw, and at least one second screw. The bracket has a channel that opens toward a bottom of the bracket and at least one lip that extends along the channel. The channel is sized and shaped to extend around a ceiling fan brace. The at least two holes extend through the at least one lip, and each of the at least two holes is configured to align with a corresponding screw hole in an electrical box. The at least one first screw is a press-fit screw and is configured to extend downward through a first hole of the at least two holes. The at least one second screw is configured to extend upward through a second hole of the at least two holes.

Abstract: A rotor core for an electric machine of an automobile includes a core stack including a plurality of lamination plates. Each lamination plate includes a plurality of apertures formed therein. The plurality of apertures of each of the lamination plates are axially aligned and define and a slot extending through the core stack and shaped to receive a corresponding insert. The rotor core also includes at least one insert received by the slot that provides radial structural stability to the plurality of lamination plates to prevent portions of the plurality of lamination plates adjacent the plurality of magnet slots from flexing due to radial forces exerted on the plurality of lamination plates during operation of the rotor core. The rotor core includes a load bearing polymer disposed within the aperture of the rotor core that provides contact between and the insert and the lamination plates.

Abstract: Systems and methods of identifying over-privileged access in a computing system are disclosed. The method includes receiving configuration information for the computing system, selecting an identity that can access the computing system and determining access privileges for the selected identity using at least the received configuration information, the access privileges identifying one or more computing resource or service accessible to the selected identity, determining at least one role assumable by the identified one or more computing resource or service accessible to the selected identity, and determining whether the identified one or more computing resource or service accessible to the selected identity can elevate its privileges. In a case where it is determined that the identified one or more computing resource or service accessible to the selected identity can elevate its privileges, the method provides notification that the identity has over-privileged access to the computing system.

Abstract: A method for detecting and flagging problems in videoconferencing is provided. The method includes measuring, by a processing device of a user videoconferencing device, a first set of acoustic data associated with a conference room during a video conference attended by a plurality of users. The first set of acoustic data indicates one or more acoustic parameters, including the reverberation time, the signal-to-noise ratio, or the absolute noise level of the conference room. The method further includes comparing the one or more first acoustic parameters to one or more thresholds during the video conference. Moreover, the method includes providing at least one of the first acoustic parameters or a result of the comparison to the at least one user during the video conference.

Abstract: Systems and methods for management and configuration of personal digital privacy and security. A list of protected accounts is received, where each protected account is an online user account associated with a user. For each protected account of the list, a privacy configuration is generated, based at least in part on one or more user-specific privacy rules. A login session for the protected account is accessed, without transmitting or receiving the user's password for the protected account. Based on the accessed login session for the protected account, a plurality of current status indicators are determined for a plurality of privacy settings associated with the protected account. The current status indicators are analyzed to generate updated configuration settings for one or more of the privacy settings of the protected account, and the updated configuration settings are applied to the protected account.
