Abstract: An email system is configured to enable a user to identify frequent email senders and block or consolidate emails from such senders. The emails received within a predetermined time period from a sender, who is selected for consolidation by a user of an email account, are consolidated into one entry in the inbox. This mitigates the inbox from getting overcrowded with frequent emails from various senders. Statistics related to various senders are also generated in order to aid the user in identifying senders whose emails need to be consolidated or blocked.

Abstract: A device receives, from a transaction device, transaction data associated with a transaction of a user logged into the transaction device, and receives information indicating a selection of an abort transaction mechanism to cause the transaction to be canceled concurrently with the user being logged out of the transaction device. The device provides, to a user device associated with the user, a notification indicating that the transaction was canceled and that the user was logged out, and determines whether a response, indicating that the notification was received by the user and indicating a reason for utilizing the abort transaction mechanism, is received from the user device within a threshold period of time. The device provides an alert message to an emergency point of contact for the user when it is determined that the response is not received from the user device within the threshold period of time.

Abstract: Substituted imidazole and substituted pyrazole compounds and compositions derived therefrom can be useful in controlling insect pests. Suitable imidazole compounds can be analogues of 2,4,5-triphenyl-1H-imidazole, wherein the C-2 phenyl group bears at least one substitution, the C-4 and C-5 phenyl groups are optionally substituted, and N-1 is unsubstituted. Suitable pyrazole compounds can bear a 1,3,4-substitution pattern, with an optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted alkyl group being present at N-1, an optionally substituted aryl or optionally substituted heteroaryl group being present at C-3, and a secondary amide group being present at C-4. These compounds and compositions derived therefrom can be administered to a plant, seed, soil or insect to control a variety of insect pests.

Abstract: Implementations relate to automatic sharing of images with designated users over a communication network. In some implementations, a method includes causing display of images in a user interface on a first device, each of the images depicting a different person. The images are obtained from a library of images associated with a first user. A selection of a particular image of the images is received based on user input, and a person identifier is determined indicating a particular person depicted in the selected image. The person identifier is designated as a person sharing criterion. A first image not included in the images is obtained and programmatically analyzed to determine that the first image depicts a person that matches the person sharing criterion, and an access permission is updated to grant access to the first image to a second user of a second device over a communication network.

Abstract: Techniques are provided for improving image data quality, such as in functional imaging follow-up studies, using reconstruction, post-processing, and/or deep-learning enhancement approaches in a way that automatically improves analysis fidelity, such as lesion tracking fidelity. The disclosed approaches may be useful in improving the performance of automatic analysis methods as well as in facilitating reviews performed by clinician.

Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically determining and providing personalized user personas of a customer for specific platforms (e.g., applications). In some examples, a computing device receives a persona request identifying a user and a platform. In response, the computing device obtains user data associated with the user and a plurality of potential user personas from a database. For each of the plurality of potential user personas, the computing device then determines a combination score for the user based on the user data. The combination score indicates user's affinity to a corresponding potential user persona within the platform. The computing device selects at least one potential user persona of the plurality of potential user personas as a final user persona for the user and the platform based on the corresponding combination score.

Abstract: A load lifting device for lifting a load. The load lifting device includes a primary plate, a lifting attachment that receives a hook of an overhead suspender, and a clamping system that can clamp a load onto the lifting device between two jaws. The clamping system can have a coarse adjustment and a fine adjustment. The coarse adjustment selectively connects a jaw to the primary plate at a plurality of discrete connection points, and the fine adjustment mechanism selectively moves a contact point of the first jaw toward a first end portion of the load. A method for lifting a load includes positioning the load lifting device horizontally above a load, clamping the load with a clamping system, and imparting a vertical force on an end portion of the load lifting device to rotate it from horizontal to vertical.

In some variations, a spatially varying skew mirror can act as a focusing mirror that focuses incident light. A spatially varying skew mirror can be made by recording interference patterns between a phase-modulated writing beam and another writing beam or by recording interference patterns between planar wavefronts in a curved holographic recording medium that is later bent or warped.

In some embodiments, a computing device may determine transcoder conditions of a transcoder independent of a client device. The computing device may dynamically adjust a block size of one or more blocks of a stream based on the transcoder conditions. In some embodiments, a computing device may receive a stream. The client device may package the stream into a first packaged stream having a first block size and a second packaged stream having a second block size less than the first block size. In some embodiments, a client device may determine an actual minimum number of blocks to buffer prior to initiating content playback based on a received predicted network and/or transcoder quality of service forecast. The client device may adjust its preset minimum number of blocks to the actual minimum number of blocks.
