  • Patent number: 11774583
Abstract: Example embodiments relate to self-reflection filtering techniques within radar data. A computing device may use radar data to determine a first radar representation that conveys information about surfaces in a vehicle's environment. The computing device may use a predefined model to generate a second radar representation that assigns predicted self-reflection values to respective locations of the environment based on the information about the surfaces conveyed by the first radar representation. The predefined model can enable a predefined self-reflection value to be assigned to a first location based on information about a surface positioned at a second location and a relationship between the first location and the second location. The computing device may then modify the first radar representation based on the predicted self-reflection values in the second radar representation and provide instructions to a control system of the vehicle based on modifying the first radar representation.

  • Patent number: 11776680
Abstract: Systems and techniques that facilitate real-time and/or offline de-identification of facial regions from regular and/or occluded color video streams obtained during diagnostic medical procedures are provided. A detection component can generate a bounding box substantially around a person in a frame of a video stream, can generate a heatmap showing key points or anatomical masks of the person based on the bounding box, and can localize a face or facial region of the person based on the key points or anatomical masks. An anonymization component can anonymize pixels in the frame that correspond to the face or facial region. A tracking component can track the face or facial region in a subsequent frame based on a structural similarity index between the frame and the subsequent frame being above a threshold.

  • Patent number: 11773791
Abstract: Presented are multi-pulse fuel injection systems for monitoring engine fuel injectors for missed pulses, methods for making/using such systems, and vehicles equipped with such systems. A method of operating a fuel injection system includes an engine controller determining if the system's injectors are operating in a multi-pulse mode for injecting multiple fuel pulses per combustion cycle to an engine's cylinders and, if so, monitoring pulse signals transmitted to the injectors for injecting the multiple fuel pulses. For each combustion cycle for each injector, the controller flags a cylinder misfire if any one of the fuel pulses for that combustion cycle is missed. For each cylinder, the controller calculates a misfire ratio of a total number of cylinder misfires to a total number of combustion cycles; if one of these misfire ratios exceeds a calibrated misfire limit, the controller commands a resident subsystem to execute control operations to mitigate the misfires.

  • Patent number: 11771437
Abstract: A suspension of a therapeutic substance (e.g., embolic beads) dispersed within a liquid can be delivered via a catheter by using a bidirectional pump to rapidly draw the mixture of the therapeutic substance and liquid from an external syringe into an internal reservoir, then rapidly push the mixture back out into the external syringe. The rapid operation of the bidirectional pump mixes the two constituents so that the therapeutic substance is temporarily suspended within the liquid. Then, a low-speed pump is used to inject the mixture out via the catheter. In some embodiments, the parameters of the low-speed pump are controlled so that the fluid exiting the catheter will experience laminar flow. When the therapeutic substance comprises embolic beads, this can advantageously prevent reflux of the embolic beads, which can be dangerous.
