  • Patent number: 11772154
Abstract: A plunger for die casting may include a front injector end made of an iron alloy including, by mass: about 1% to about 6% nickel, about 0.1% to about 5% copper, about 0.2% to about 2.5% aluminum, about 0.5% to about 2% manganese, and about 0.05% to about 0.2% carbon. The iron alloy may be formed into an initial shape of the front injector end, heated to a temperature greater than or equal to about 900° C. and then cooled to form a supersaturated solid solution of iron and dissolved alloying elements. Then, the iron alloy may be heated at a temperature sufficient to precipitate intermetallic nanoparticles from the supersaturated solid solution to form an intermetallic precipitate phase dispersed throughout an iron-based matrix phase. A chemical compound layer may be formed at and along a surface of the iron alloy by exposing the iron alloy to an oxygen-containing and/or nitrogen-containing environment.

  • Patent number: 11775656
Abstract: Secure multi-party information retrieval is disclosed. One example is a system including a query processor to request secure retrieval of candidate terms similar to a query term. A collection of information processors, where a given information processor receives the request and generates a random permutation. A plurality of data processors, where a given data processor generates clusters of a plurality of terms in a given dataset, where the clusters are based on similarity scores for pairs of terms, and selects a representative term from each cluster. The given information processor determines similarity scores between a secured query term received from the query processor and secured representative terms received from the given data processor, where the secured terms are based on the permutation, and the given data processor filters, without knowledge of the query term, the candidate terms of the plurality of terms based on the determined similarity scores.

  • Patent number: 11774253
Abstract: A method, an apparatus and a computer program product for performing reactive ventilation or prevention operations to air pollution in a moving vehicle. The method comprises obtaining a driving path of the vehicle that comprises a future sub-path that the vehicle is expected to arrive to at a future time, an estimated time-window the vehicle is expected to be located thereon, and air pollution data of the driving path that comprises an air pollution level at the future sub-path. In response to predicting, based on the air pollution data and the driving path, that the vehicle is about to encounter air pollution at the future sub-path, a prevention action is performed prior to the vehicle reaching the future sub-path. In response to a determination that the estimated air pollution level is below a threshold, performing a ventilation action while the vehicle is located on the future sub-path.

  • Patent number: 11775932
Abstract: A clinical documentation improvement (CDI) smart scoring method may include predicting, via per-condition diagnosis machine learning (ML) models and based on clinical evidence received by a system, a probability that a medical condition is under-documented and, via per-condition documentation ML models and based on documentation received by the system, a probability that a medical condition is over-documented. The under- and over-documentation scores are combined in view of special indicators and queryability factors, which can also be evaluated using ML query prediction models, to generate an initial CDI score. This CDI score can be further adjusted, if necessary or desired, to account for factors such as length of stay, payer, patient location, CDI review timing, etc. The final CDI score can be used to prioritize patient cases for review by CDI specialists to quickly and efficiently identify meaningful CDI opportunities.

  • Patent number: 11778068
Abstract: Improved methods for retrieval of content from CDNs is provided that includes a rendezvous controller that receives information of an identification of content being requested and an estimated location of a content requesting device. Based on this information, the rendezvous system identifies a server within a CDN from which the requested content may be retrieved. The selected server may be based on a repeatable hash function such that the likelihood that the content being requested is cached at the selected server. Steering requests to a server of the CDN which may have the content cached may reduce the number of servers within the CDN with the same cached content, particularly for the highest requested content. The rendezvous system may then return a corresponding domain name associated with the selected server and that can be subsequently submitted to a DNS for resolution to the IP address of the identified server.
