Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for restricting an uplink Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) assignment based on fading, battery data, or location data associated with a user device in an mmWave system. Fading data, location data, or battery data is received from one or more user devices. Based on the received data, a determination is made using the data received (e.g., determining the battery data of the user device is below a threshold or determining the location of the user device). In response, the assignment of the user device to an uplink MIMO layer of available MIMO layers is restricted. The restricted uplink MIMO layer is a higher MIMO layer than another MIMO layer of the available MIMO layers. In response to restricting the assignment, the user device may be assigned to an available MIMO layer that is a lower MIMO layer than the restricted MIMO layer.

Abstract: A DC conductive, low RF/microwave loss titanium oxide ceramic provides, at room temperature, a bulk DC resistivity of less than 1×1011 ohm-meters and an RF loss tangent of less than 2×10?4 at 7.5 GHz and less than 2×10?5 at 650 MHz. The resistivity is reduced by oxygen vacancies and associated Ti3+ and/or Ti4+ centers created by sintering in an atmosphere containing only between 0.01% and 0.1% oxygen. The reduced resistivity prevents DC charge buildup, while the low loss tangent provides good RF/microwave transparency and low losses. The ceramic is suitable for forming RF windows, electron gun cathode insulators, dielectrics, and other components. An exemplary Mg2TiO4—MgTiO3 embodiment includes mixing, grinding, pre-sintering in air, and pressing 99.95% pure MgO and TiO2 powders, re-sintering in air at 1400° C.-1500° C. to reduce porosity, and sintering at 1350° C.-1450° C. for 4 hours in an 0.05% oxygen and 99.05% nitrogen atmosphere.
Abstract: A waveguide display includes a waveguide, three input gratings configured to couple display light in different respective colors into the waveguide, one or more first middle gratings configured to receive and redirect the display light from the three input gratings, a second middle grating configured to diffract, at two or more regions of the second middle grating, the display light from the one or more first middle gratings, and an output grating configured to couple the display light from each of the two or more regions of the second middle grating out of the waveguide at two or more regions of the output grating.
Abstract: A system and a method are disclosed for securing sensitive data for transaction requests using tokenization and encryption. A secure transfer system secures sensitive information of transaction requests. The secure transfer system may receive a transaction request file and generate a modified transaction request file by tokenizing values in the received file. For each transaction request in the file, the system may store a representation of the untokenized values in a datastore in conjunction with an identifier of the transaction request. This identifier may be generated from the tokenized values. The secure transfer system may use the identifier to query the datastore for the representation of the untokenized values. The system may decrypt encrypted values in the representation to generate a transaction request file of detokenized values, which may be provided to an automated clearing house to fulfill the transaction requests.

Abstract: Enhanced phase-noise mitigation is possible at low-to-no cost. Communication at the high frequencies envisioned for late 5G and 6G will require much better phase-noise control than current frequency bands, because the tight margins will result in excessive phase faults and greatly reduced throughput. The disclosed examples show how to use two modulation schemes to provide the best phase margins at the final step. For example, the message can be initially modulated in classical amplitude-phase modulation as transmitted, but is received and processed using convenient QAM orthogonal components. Then the receiver can convert the results back to the amplitude-phase modulation scheme analytically, and can finally demodulate using calibrated amplitude and phase levels derived from a proximate demodulation reference.
Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to calibration data related to a determined alignment of sensors on a wearable display device. One example provides a wearable display device comprising a frame, a first sensor and a second sensor, one or more displays, a logic system, and a storage system. The storage system comprises calibration data related to a determined alignment of the sensors with the frame in a bent configuration and instructions executable by the logic system. The instructions are executable to obtain a first sensor data and a second sensor data respectfully from the first and second sensors, determine a distance from the wearable display device to a feature based at least upon the first and second sensor data using the calibration data, obtain a stereo image to display based upon the distance from the wearable display device to the feature, and output the stereo image via the displays.

Abstract: A system and method for perturbing a permanent magnet asymmetric field to move a body includes a rotating body configured to rotate about a rotation axis, a permanent magnet arrangement arranged on the rotating body containing two or more permanent magnets, and a perturbation element. The permanent magnet arrangement is configured such that an asymmetric magnetic field is generated by the permanent magnets about a perturbation point. Actuation of the perturbation element at or near the perturbation point causes a tangential magnetic force on the rotating body and/or the permanent magnet arrangement, thereby causing the rotating body to rotate about the rotation axis. The disclosure may also be used for linear motion of a body.

Abstract: Embodiments of a system for shape sawing wood may include a feed unit and a saw box pivotably coupled to, and suspended from, one end of the feed unit. The saw box may be coupled to the side walls of the feed unit by pivot pins that define a rotational axis. A motor may be mounted to one side of the saw box to drive a saw arbor in rotation. The system may include an actuator that is selectively actuable to pivot the saw box about the rotational axis relative to the feed unit. Another actuator may be provided to move the saw box laterally along the pivot members. The feed unit may be slideably mounted on rails and selectively movable along the rails relative to a feed axis that extends through the saw box and the feed unit.
Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method of a data processing (DP) accelerator encrypting or decrypting input data can include receiving, from a host device, a command, the input data, and a kernel. The kernel can be an encryption kernel, or a decryption kernel, and the DP accelerator need not know which kernel it has received. The DP accelerator runs the received kernel. In response to the DP accelerator receiving the command, the DP accelerator performs encrypting of the input data using the kernel, if the received kernel is an encryption kernel, otherwise, decrypting the input data using the kernel. The encrypted, or decrypted, input data is then provided to the host device.
