Abstract: A method for operating a head-mounted display device is presented. An RF face tracking system is operated at a first, lower power level. Based at least on an output of the RF face tracking system while operating at the first, lower power level, a first likelihood is determined that the head-mounted display device is positioned on a head of a user. If the first likelihood is greater than a first confidence threshold, the RF face tracking system is operated at a second, higher power level. A second likelihood that the head-mounted display device is positioned on the head of the user is determined based at least on an output of the RF face tracking system while operating at the second, higher power level. If the second likelihood is greater than a second confidence threshold, an eye-tracking system of the head-mounted display device is activated.

Abstract: Systems and methods for visually tagging communications in communication sessions are provided. A current communication session associated with a user device communicating with one or more other user devices may be monitored. The current communication session may include a plurality of messages including a set of the messages associated with the user device. An emotional state may be identified for each of the messages in the set and categorized based on analyzing the set of the messages in view of contextual information regarding the user of the user device. A categorized emotional state of at least one of the messages may be detected as triggering a tagging rule associated with the user of the user device. A presentation of the set of the messages may be modified within the current communication session based on the tagging rule. The modified presentation may include one or more tags indicative of the categorized emotional state of the at least one message.

Abstract: A system and method for classifying media according to user negative propensities is illustrated. The system includes a computing device configured to obtain a physiological state data as a function of a user input, identify a user propensity for problematic behavior associated with a human subject as a function of the physiological state data, wherein the user propensity for problematic behavior identifies an problematic behavior from a predetermined plurality of problematic behaviors, receive a media item containing a principal theme to be transmitted to a device operated by the human subject, and block transmission of the media item to the device operated by the human subject as a function of the principal theme and the user propensity for problematic behavior.

Abstract: The present application discloses a method of displaying images on a vehicle. The method includes disclosing user information, including an image to be displayed, to an exchange application, transmitting the image to a controller configured to receive user information, instructing, by the controller, an electronic display to display the image to display the image to a viewer outside of the vehicle, and displaying the image, by the electronic display, to the viewer outside of the vehicle. The electronic display is disposed on or integrated into a window of the vehicle and configured to move in unison with the vehicle to display the image. The electronic display is configured to be transparent to a viewer inside of the vehicle. The controller is in communication with the electronic display.

Abstract: To provide improved phase noise tolerance and improved identification of certain fault types, a modulation/demodulation procedure is disclosed for 5G and 6G. The transmitter can modulate a message according to the amplitude and phase of the overall waveform to be emitted, modulated according to predetermined amplitude and phase levels of the modulation scheme. The receiver can then separate the received waveform into orthogonal I and Q branches and measure their branch amplitudes, as usual. The receiver can then convert the branch amplitude measurements back into the original amplitude-phase modulation parameters using formulas provided. The receiver can then demodulate the message by comparing the overall amplitude and phase of each message element to the predetermined amplitude and phase levels of the modulation scheme, which thereby provides substantially increased phase noise tolerance at high frequencies.

Abstract: Methods, computer program products, computer systems, and the like for improved performance, when backing up objects, are disclosed, which can include assigning a top-level entity to a backup host of a number of backup hosts and performing a backup operation on a number of objects. The objects are associated with the top-level entity. The backup operation is performed by the backup host. The backup operation includes determining whether one of the objects includes at least one new data segment or at least one modified data segment, and, in response to a determination that the object includes at least one new data segment or at least one modified data segment, writing information regarding the at least one new data segment or at least one modified data segment in a tracklog dedicated to the top-level entity.

Abstract: A motion controlled wall-mountable storage product including a storage product, such as a cabinet or a shelf, having a wall-mountable portion and a moveable portion operable to store goods. A series of plates lowers and raises the moveable portion for easy access to the store goods. A set of first plates is connected to the wall-mountable portion. Each of the first plates is moveable in a first direction relative to the wall-mountable portion. A set of second plates is connected to the set of first plates, and each of the second plates is moveable in a second direction relative to the set of first plates. A set of third plates connected to the set of second plates, and each of the third plates is moveable in a third direction relative to the set of second plates. The moveable portion of the storage product is connected to the set of third plates.

Abstract: A multifunctional self-cleaning surface layer and methods of preparing the multifunctional self-cleaning surface layer are provided. The multifunctional self-cleaning surface layer includes an inorganic matrix including silicon and oxygen; a plurality of photocatalytic active particles distributed within and bonded to the inorganic matrix; and a plurality of nanopores defined within the inorganic matrix in regions corresponding to bonds between the plurality of photocatalytic active particles and the inorganic matrix. Water molecules may be disposed within at least a portion of the plurality of nanopores. In the presence of water and electromagnetic radiation, the plurality of photocatalytic active particles may facilitate a decomposition reaction of any oil or organic residue on the multifunctional self-cleaning surface layer.

Abstract: A sunshade system of vehicle roof includes a sunshade formed from a fabric material including a plurality of pleats arranged across a lateral sunshade width and extending along a sunshade length. At least one sunshade guide extends along a length of the sunshade and retains a lateral width edge of the fabric material, and guides the sunshade along a path between a stowed position and an extended position. The sunshade has a variable sunshade width along the sunshade length in the extended position by expansion and relaxation of the plurality of pleats.

Abstract: A technique is described herein for capturing signals that indicate when any calling BOT delegates control to a called BOT, or when a calling BOT is preconfigured to contact a called BOT (e.g., as conveyed by a manifest file associated with the calling BOT). The technique can leverage these signals to facilitate the selection of BOTs. For example, the technique can use the signals to improve searches performed by a search engine and/or recommendation engine. The technique can also use the signals to generate metadata items that describe the properties of the available BOTs.

Abstract: A row unit of an agricultural implement includes an opening system configured to engage soil to form a furrow, sensors configured to detect a soil tightness, soil conditions, operational conditions, or a combination thereof, and a closing system configured to close the furrow. The closing system includes a first closing disc configured to engage the soil and close the furrow and a second closing disc configured to engage the soil and close the furrow. Abstract: In the non-nicotine electronic vaping device, a saturation sensor measures at least one electrical characteristic of the wick between the heating element and the probe wire at a first time and a second time, wherein the at least one electrical characteristic includes a resistance, a capacitance, or both a resistance and a capacitance. Control circuitry is configured to cause the non-nicotine e-vaping device to: calculate a refill rate at which the non-nicotine pre-vapor formulation flows onto the wick based on the at least one electrical characteristic at the first time and the at least one electrical characteristic at the second time; determine that the refill rate is less than a threshold refill rate; and output a low non-nicotine pre-vapor formulation alert in response to determining that the refill rate is less than the threshold refill rate.

Another method of making-up tubular string components can include, in response to inputting image data to an image processor, the image processor detecting longitudinal positions of two tubulars, threading the tubulars with each other, and a controller terminating the threading in response to the longitudinal position of one tubular relative to the longitudinal position of the other tubular being within a predetermined range.

Abstract: A TPM with programmable fuses in an SOC includes an on-die RAM storing a blown-fuse count and a TPM state read from off-die NV memory. During initialization, if the blown-fuse count is greater than a TPM state fuse count, a TPM state PIN-attempt-failure count is incremented, thereby thwarting a replay attack. If a PIN satisfies a PIN failure policy, and if a TPM state previously-passed-PIN indicator is set to true, a fuse is blown and the blown-fuse count incremented depending on the PIN being incorrect, but if the TPM state previously-passed-PIN indicator is set to false, a fuse is blown and the blown-fuse count incremented independent of whether the PIN is correct or incorrect. The TPM state fuse count is set equal to the blown-fuse count. If a counter cleared before processing the PIN remains cleared during the next initialization, a fuse voltage cut is detected and a penalty imposed.

Abstract: An analytics system marks duplicate fragments from an initial set of fragments from a subject. The analytics system generates a sample state vector for each fragment. Each sample state vector comprises a sample genomic location within a reference genome and a plurality of methylation states for a plurality of CpG sites in the fragment, the methylation states determined to be one of methylated, unmethylated, variant, and ambiguous. The analytics system identifies two fragments with methylation state vectors as being derived from a matching reference location, e.g., sharing a common plurality of CpG sites. The analytics system calculates a modified Hamming distance based on methylation states in the first sample state vector and methylation states in the second sample state vector. Based on the modified Hamming distance, the analytics system marks the first fragment and the second fragment as either duplicate fragments or non-duplicate fragments.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a computer-implemented method performed by a data processing (DP) accelerator includes receiving, at the DP accelerator, first data representing an artificial intelligence (AI) model that has been previously trained from a host processor; receiving, at the DP accelerator, a request to implant a watermark in the AI model from the host processor; and implanting, by the DP accelerator, the watermark within the AI model. The DP accelerator then transmits second data representing the AI model having the watermark implanted therein to the host processor. In embodiment, the method further includes extracting, at the DP accelerator, a watermark algorithm identifier (ID) from the request to implant a watermark; and generating the watermark using a watermark algorithm identified by the watermark algorithm ID.
