Patent number: 11774321Abstract: Disclosed herein is a technique of configuring flexible photovoltaic tracker systems with high damping and low angle stow positions. Under dynamic environmental loads implementing a high amount of damping (e.g., greater than 25% of critical damping, greater than 50% of critical damping) or a very high amount of damping (e.g., 100% or greater of critical damping, infinite damping) enables the flexible tracker system to prevent problematic aeroelastic behaviors while positioned in a low stow angle. The disclosed technique is further applied to a prototyping process during wind tunnel testing.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2022Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: FCX Solar LLCInventors: Christopher Thomas Needham, Frank Carl Oudheusden

Patent number: 11778014Abstract: Streaming content protocols typically provide playlists, a file that lists the location of each segment of a content stream. The playlist may change as the content server adds content to the content stream or because the length of the content stream continues to grow. Client devices periodically fetch the playlist, and are unaware whether the playlist has changed, and thus may needlessly use bandwidth repeatedly fetching the same playlist. Throttling content download o provides systems and methods for controlling the download of streaming content-related data according to the current status of the playlist and possibly also current bandwidth availability. Content server, by monitoring client device related playlist position and client device content buffer can regulate content streaming, to improve network bandwidth distribution. A content server determines whether the playlist has changed since the last time the playlist was requested and denies a request for the playlist when the playlist has not changed.Type: GrantFiled: December 12, 2014Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: ARRIS Enterprises LLCInventors: Krishna Prasad Panje, Praveen Girish, William P. Patent number: 11777156Abstract: A method for recovering a lithium electrolyte salt from spent batteries comprises first extracting electrolyte from shredded batteries (e.g., spent batteries at the end of their useful lifetime) with an organic carbonate solvent; concentrating the extracted electrolyte in vacuo to form a solid lithium electrolyte salt that is solvated with the organic carbonate; and then extracting solvent from the solvated, solid lithium electrolyte salt with supercritical CO2 to purify the lithium electrolyte salt sufficiently for reuse in lithium batteries. In the first extraction, the organic carbonate solvent is selected based on the solubility of the lithium electrolyte salt in the solvent, as well as the volatility of the solvent to facilitate the concentration process. The supercritical CO2 is preferably held at a pressure in the range of about 1,500 to about 30,000 psi and is passed through a bed or column of the solvated salt.Type: GrantFiled: January 15, 2021Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: UCHICAGO ARGONNE, LLCInventor: Albert L. Patent number: 11776628Abstract: The following disclosure is directed to mitigating issues related to semi-circle drain side select gate (SC-SGD) memory holes in memory structures. When a memory hole is cut, the channel and the charge trap layer of the memory hole cut. Further, the outer dielectric layer (used to shield the channel and the charge trap layer) is cut and partially removed. When the selected SC-SGD is selected for an operation (e.g., programming), the channel and the charge trap layer are exposed to neighboring electrical field from bias voltage applied to an unselected SC-SGD. To prevent or mitigate the effects of this electrical field, a negative bias voltage is applied to the unselected SC-SGD. Additionally, this disclosure is directed to self-compensating techniques for SC-SGD. For example, the memory structure can utilize the neighboring electric field during verify, program, and read operations, whether the neighboring electric field is relatively strong or weak.Type: GrantFiled: June 17, 2021Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: SanDisk Technologies LLCInventors: Xiang Yang, Kazuki Isozumi, Parth Amin

Patent number: 11771075Abstract: According to an aspect of the invention, the brake pedal of an agricultural vehicle can be used as an interface to control auto fold/unfold sequences on a sprayer. This can allow functionality to be moved from a button, such as on the armrest, to the brake pedal using a controller, sensing and software. In one aspect, a button on the armrest can start the sequence, as long as the brake pedal is depressed. After the button is pressed, the operator can remove his hand from the button, but maintain the brake pedal depressed. If the operator lifts his foot off of the pedal, or initiates a different boom control button press, the sequence can stop. This can advantageously allow the operator to have the use of his hands during the sequence.Type: GrantFiled: November 21, 2019Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: CNH INDUSTRIAL AMERICA LLCInventors: Steven Winkel, Nathan Brooks

Patent number: 11777152Abstract: Presented are feedback control systems for monitoring battery system hardware, methods for making/operating such systems, and vehicles with wireless battery management systems (WBMS) governed through distributed feedback control. A method of operating a WBMS includes a wireless-enabled manager device selecting a batch of cell module assemblies (CMA) within the WBMS to communicate with to thereby retrieve data for their respective battery modules. A manager access control list (ACL) is created with respective media access control (MAC) addresses and ID data for the selected CMAs. A wireless connection is established between the manager device and a respective cell monitoring unit (CMU) for each selected CMA based on the corresponding MAC addresses and ID data in the manager ACL. The manager device downloads, from the CMU of each selected CMA, device data for each battery modules associated with the selected CMA. The manager device then switches the operating mode for each CMU.Type: GrantFiled: August 31, 2020Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: GM Global Technology Operations LLCInventors: Thomas M. Patent number: 11775681Abstract: Embodiments are directed to techniques for enforcing entitlements used by data privacy pipelines. When a data consumer requests to trigger a pipeline that relies on an entitlement, an enforcement mechanism may operate to verify the data consumer's triggering of the pipeline will satisfy the entitlements. A rules engine may access all root entities of the pipeline that require an entitlement, load all contracts and/or corresponding pipelines that reference one of the root entities, and search for one valid access path through the loaded contracts/pipelines. If multiple contracts and/or multiple access paths allow access to a particular root entity, various conflict rules may be configured to choose which contract and access path to use. If all root entities have a valid access path, the constrained environment may execute the requested pipeline using the identified access path for each root entity.Type: GrantFiled: September 1, 2020Date of Patent: October 3, 2023Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Yisroel Gershon Taber, Tomer Turgeman, Ittay Levy Ophir, Lev Rozenbaum, Nerya Cohen
