Abstract: A method and system for secure communications includes obtaining at a first device and a chief device signals based on movement of at least one of the devices between them. Both the first device and chief device convert the signals into identical first secret keys which are then stored. The method and system next includes obtaining at a second device and a chief device signals based on movement between them of at least one of the devices. Both the second device and chief device convert the signals into identical second secret keys which are then stored. The chief device then encrypts first secret key with second secret key and transmits to the second device which decrypts it with its copy of second secret key obtaining first secret key. These communicating devices can then transmit data between them securely encrypted and decrypted with the first secret key.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include methods, systems, and articles of manufacture for enabling beta testing of new features within a native application. In one embodiment, a native application executed by a client device may include executable instructions that are activated and executed only upon indication of a user belonging to a beta test group. The client device may receive a signal from a service or content provider that includes test group information indicating whether a user is a member of a test group. The client device may process the received signal to determine whether the user is a member of a test group and, if so, activates and executes certain instructions received as part of the native application that define a user interface enabling access to additional functionality unavailable to a user determined not to be a member of a test group.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method, system and computer program product for optimal query scheduling for resource utilization option. In an embodiment of the disclosure, a process for optimal query scheduling includes receiving in an information retrieval data processing system at a contemporaneous time, a request for deferred query execution of a specified query to a future time after the contemporaneous time. The method additionally includes determining a frequency of change of data corresponding to a field referenced in the specified query. Then, on condition that the frequency of change is below a threshold value, an intermediate time prior to the future time but after the contemporaneous time can be identified and the specified query scheduled for execution at the intermediate time instead of the future time. But, otherwise the specified query can be scheduled at the future time as originally requested.

Abstract: The invention is directed to portions of proteins of gram-positive bacteria, gram-negative, acid-fast bacteria (Mycobacteria, Staphylococcus) and/or virus (SARS-COV-2, Influenza), and antibodies reactive against these portions that can be formulated as immunogenic compositions and vaccines for the treatment and prevention of a microbial and/or viral infections. Preferably, compositions of the invention contain one or more portions of selected microbial and/or viral proteins that, upon administration to a subject, generate an effective cellular and/or humoral immune response, modulate immunity and a cytokine response. Effective responses involve an increased generation of antibodies that enhance immunity against an infection and promote an enhanced a phagocytic response. Monoclonal antibodies produced against these peptides enhance phagocytosis and killing of bacteria, viruses, and other microbes by phagocytic cells, and enhance clearance from the blood.

Abstract: Software code is tested to determine relative performance of the software code. Successfully executing a test may be used to flag problems in a code repository to be corrected or criteria for accepting code for acceptance to the repository. To further evaluate test results, the test may be run several times on the same code version to determine a test result stability score describing how the test results may vary in different executions, such as a frequency that the code passes the test. Based on the score, additional tests may be run to further refine test result stability score. To evaluate time-variance of testing, when a code version fails a test, a previous version of the code may be run with the same test and the results compared to determine if a new regression was introduced.

Abstract: A local data bus of a sense amplifier associated with one bit line is used to perform logical operations for a sensing operation performed by another sense amplifier associated with a different bit line. Each sense amplifier circuit includes a sensing node that is pre-charged, then discharged through a selected memory cell and a local data bus with a number of data latches connected. Target program data can be stored in the latches and combined in logical combinations with the sensed value of the memory cell to determine whether it has verified. By including a transfer circuit between the local data buses of a pair of sense amplifiers, the logical operations of a first sense amplifier can be performed using the local data bus of the paired sense amplifier, freeing the first sense amplifier's sense node to be concurrently pre-charged for a subsequent sensing operation, thereby improving performance.

Abstract: Approaches to selection of motion vector (“MV”) precision during video encoding are presented. These approaches can facilitate compression that is effective in terms of rate-distortion performance and/or computational efficiency. For example, a video encoder determines an MV precision for a unit of video from among multiple MV precisions, which include one or more fractional-sample MV precisions and integer-sample MV precision. The video encoder can identify a set of MV values having a fractional-sample MV precision, then select the MV precision for the unit based at least in part on prevalence of MV values (within the set) having a fractional part of zero. Or, the video encoder can perform rate-distortion analysis, where the rate-distortion analysis is biased towards the integer-sample MV precision. Or, the video encoder can collect information about the video and select the MV precision for the unit based at least in part on the collected information.
