Abstract: An apparatus, including systems and methods, for detecting ransomware is disclosed herein. For example, in some embodiments, an apparatus includes a memory element operable to store instructions; and a processor operable to execute the instructions, such that the apparatus is configured to receive data identifying a process and a plurality of files accessed by the process; identify an access indicator associated with each of the plurality of files accessed by the process, wherein the access indicator includes file type; determine whether the access indicator exceeds a threshold; interrupt, based on a determination that the access indicator exceeds a threshold, the process; and prompt a user to allow or disallow the process to proceed.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer programs are presented for managing audio files of a user to reduce latencies in play start times on local devices. The audio files are stored on cloud storage managed by a server. One method includes processing a plurality of audio files associated with a user, where the processing is configured to create audio snippet files from each of the plurality of audio files. The audio snippet files representing a beginning part of each of the plurality of audio files. The method also includes transmitting the audio snippet files to a client device and detecting a request from the client to begin playing a first audio file from the plurality of audio files of the user. The first audio file being stored on the cloud storage managed by the server.

Abstract: The disclosed embodiments include systems and methods for executing a point of sale deposit. In one embodiment, a system may include one or more memory devices storing software instructions, and one or more processors configured to execute the software instructions to receive deposit information related to a point of sale deposit from a mobile device, and generate a deposit token retaining at least the deposit information and deposit authorization information. The one or more processors may also be configured to transmit the deposit token to the mobile device for displaying a readable code generated based on the deposit token, receive a point of sale deposit authorization notification from the merchant device indicating at least receipt by the merchant device of the deposit token from the mobile device, and transfer funds to a financial service account based on the received deposit information and authorization notification.

Abstract: Various embodiments discussed herein enable the detection of malicious content. Some embodiments do this by determining a similarity score between content, computer objects, or indications (e.g., vectors, file hashes, file signatures, code, etc.) known to be malicious and other content (e.g., unknown files) or indications based on feature weighting. Over various training stages, certain feature characteristics for each labeled malicious content or indication can be learned. For example, for a first malware family of computer objects, the most prominent feature may be a particular URL, whereas other features change considerably for different iterations of the first malware family of computer objects. Consequently, the particular URL can be weighted to determine a particular output classification corresponding to malicious behavior.

Abstract: Embodiments are described for a system and method for providing a list of current offers from retailers to a user operating a mobile client device. Aspects of the method comprise analyzing a transaction history of the user to identify a vendor who has transacted with the user; determining a present geographic location of the user based on a location of the mobile client device; determining a location of the vendor proximate the user based on the transaction history and the present geographic location of the user; searching for a current promotion offered by the vendor; and facilitating the serving of the current promotion to the user through the mobile client device.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide for the generation of a driving difficulty heat map for autonomous vehicles. For instance, log data generated by a vehicle being driven in a manual driving mode for a segment of a route may be input into a disengage model in order to generate an output identifying a likelihood of a vehicle driving in an autonomous driving mode requiring a disengage from the autonomous driving mode along the segment of the route. The log data may have been collected within a geographic area. A grid for the geographic area may be generated. The grid may include a plurality of cells. The output is assigned to one of the plurality of cells. The plurality of cells and assigned output may be used to generate a driving difficulty heat map for the geographic area.

Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for filtering embolic particles that may be generated from a medical procedure including protection of the major branching vessels from the aorta, and catches and filters emboli that may be generated during the TAVR procedure. The filter devices disclosed herein form an improved seal against the vessel wall that is activated by flowing blood. Devices described herein also allow for the closing of the ends of the filter device after capture of emboli, providing further security against accidental loss of emboli post capture.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for invoking an agent module in an automated assistant application in response to user selection of a selectable element presented at a graphical user interface rendered by a non-automated assistant application. The invoked agent module can be associated with other content rendered in the non-automated assistant graphical user interface, and can optionally be invoked with values that are based on user interactions via the non-automated assistant application. Responsive content can be received from the agent module in response to the invocation, and corresponding content provided by the automated assistant application via an automated assistant interface. In these and other manners, selection of the selectable element causes transition from a non-conversational interface, to a conversational automated assistant interface—where an agent (relevant to content in the non-conversational interface) is invoked in the automated assistant interface.

Abstract: Aspects of the technology described herein provide a collaborative browsing experience in which real-time browsing activity and saved browsing activity of session collaborators in a collaborative browsing session are shared with the collaborators. A collaborative session may be initiated, which may create a tab group associated with the session and linked to a collaborator. Other collaborators may be invited to join the session, and additional tab groups for each collaborator may be created. The tab groups of the collaborators may be included in a collective tab group, which may be updated in real-time with changes made by any of the collaborators. For example, client changes may be handled locally and communicated to a service to which each client is connected. The service may sequence and broadcast the ordered changes to the clients, which may each implement the changes according to the sequence to synchronize a shared state amongst clients.

Abstract: A non-invasive system and method are provided. Brain activity of a user is detected using a non-invasive brain interface when the user is exposed to an external stimulus. The user is determined to be negatively primed by the external stimulus based on the detected brain activity. An alert that the user is being negatively primed by the external stimulus is automatically provided. A tagged training session may be automatically provided to the user in response determining that the user has a negative mental state, thereby promoting a positive mental state of the user. A training session list containing the tagged training session may be automatically modified based on the determined mental state of the user.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for reducing communications between servers and a mobile device and providing enhanced security and privacy to wireless beacon services. This can involve a broadcast device transmitting a beacon transmission using a short range wireless radio, such a Bluetooth or WiFi, and including a MAC address, a first unique identifier, and a beacon service identifier. The mobile device then selects one or more unique identifiers from received beacon transmissions, by filtering (that is, selecting) those beacon transmissions which include the beacon service identifier. The wireless device then takes further action, if the first unique identifier is present among the selected one or more unique identifiers, using stored information from the server. The stored information may be delivered to the wireless device in response to the wireless device sending the first unique identifier to a server, or the stored information may have been previously downloaded.

Abstract: The disclosure below describes a knowledge pattern machine that goes beyond and is distinct from a traditional search engine as simple information aggregator. Rather than acting as a search engine of the data itself, the knowledge pattern machine use variously layers of artificial intelligence to discover correlations within the queries and historical data, and to derive and recognize data patterns based on user queries for predictively generating new knowledge items or reports that are of interest to the user. Previous patterns and knowledge items or reports are accumulated and incorporated in identification of new data patterns and new predictive knowledge items or reports in response to future user queries, thus providing a stateful machine. The predictive knowledge items are updated in real-time without user interference as the underlying data sources evolve overtime. The data patterns and knowledge items are organized hierarchically and may be shared among different users at various levels.
