Abstract: A programmable delay device that provides delays of more than 100 ns over a broad bandwidth is disclosed. The device includes an input stage that employs M sampling switched capacitor elements such that each sampling switched capacitor element samples at a rate of only 1/M of the fundamental sampling rate. The device includes a programmable delay stage with M programmable switched capacitor banks, each programmable switched capacitor bank having N delay switched capacitor storage elements. Thus, the programmable delay stage includes a total of M×N delay switched capacitor storage elements, thereby reducing the sampling rate by a factor of M×N. This reduced sampling rate permits much smaller sampling switches, resulting in reduced leakage current and enabling far longer programmable delay times. Lastly, the device includes an output reconstruction stage that reconstructs a delayed version of the input RF signal by combining signals from the programmable delay stage.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems that capture a combination of image data and environmental data of the environment. The system uses the environmental data to create a detailed virtual scan of the environment. Computer generated models and images (“assets”) are inserted into the detailed virtual environment from the scan. These assets are scaled and placed within the virtual environment at specific locations and having a specific orientation. The scaled and positioned asset is then composited with the real-time video signal allowing a user to view the asset in real-time on a display.
Abstract: In some embodiments, a photonic switch includes a first layer, a cantilever coupler, and a set of electrodes. The first layer includes a first waveguide that directs light in a first direction and a second waveguide that directs light in a second direction that is different from the first direction. The cantilever coupler is formed from a lithium niobate material and disposed over the first layer. The cantilever coupler includes a first end that is positioned over the first waveguide and a second end that is bonded to the second waveguide. The set of electrodes apply an electric potential across the first end, which deforms the first waveguide to couple to the second waveguide and propagates light between the first waveguide and the second waveguide.

Abstract: Disclosed are hardware and techniques for testing computer processes in a network system by simulating computer process faults and identifying risk associated with correcting the simulated fault and identifying computer processes that may depend on the corrected computer process. The interdependent computer processes in a network may be determined by evaluating a risk matrix having a risk score and non-functional requirement score. An analysis of the risk score and non-functional requirement score accounts for interdependencies between computer processes and identified corrective actions that may be used to determine an optimal network environment. The optimal network environment may be updated dynamically based on changing computer process interdependencies and the determined risk and robustness scores.

Example apparatus disclosed herein are to determine a first histogram based on at least one of luminance components or chrominance components of a first frame of video, and determine a second histogram based on at least one of luminance components or chrominance components of a second frame of the video. Disclosed example apparatus are also to detect a transition in the video based on the first histogram and the second histogram, and responsive to the detection of the transition in the video. Disclosed example apparatus are further to process a region of interest within at least one of the first frame or the second frame to detect a logo in the region of interest.
Abstract: Obtaining a consistent set of snapshots of a group of storage volumes includes obtaining a plurality of snapshots, each of the snapshots being for one of the volumes, determining if there are any specific write operations to at least one volume that occurred after obtaining a first one of the snapshots and before obtaining a last of the snapshots, if there are any specific write operations, discarding the plurality of snapshots, and, if there are no specific write operations, designating the plurality of snapshots as the consistent set of snapshots. Obtaining a consistent set of snapshots may include repeatedly obtaining a plurality of snapshots and determining if there are specific write operations until either a particular condition is met or there are no specific write operations determined. The particular condition may be exceeding a predetermined number of iterations or a predetermined time limit.

Abstract: An air cooling system for a vehicle engine includes an air intake configured to receive intake air for delivery to the engine, a first coolant loop thermally coupled to the air intake to provide cooling to the intake air, and a pump for circulating coolant through the first coolant loop. A second coolant loop is thermally coupled to the air intake to provide further cooling to the intake air, and undergoes a vapor compression cycle. A compressor circulates coolant through the second coolant loop. The first and second coolant loops are separate loops using a common condenser. A passive variable charge enabler assembly is configured to remove coolant circulating in the system when the compressor is on.
Abstract: A system and method for the distributed analysis of high frequency transaction trace data to constantly categorize incoming transaction data, identify relevant transaction categories, create per-category statistical reference and current data and perform statistical tests to identify transaction categories showing overall statistically relevant performance anomalies. The relevant transaction category detection considers both the relative transaction frequency of categories compared to the overall transaction frequency and the temporal stability of a transaction category over an observation duration. The statistical data generated for the anomaly tests contains next to data describing the overall performance of transactions of a category also data describing the transaction execution context, like the number of concurrently executed transactions or transaction load during an observation period.
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments for providing batch performance using a stream processor. In one embodiment, a system is disclosed comprising a stream processor configured to process events emitted by an event stream and output processed events; a queue configured to receive the processed events from the stream processor; a spooler configured to read the processed events from the queue and write the processed events to a buffer; and an auditor process configured to extract a written event from the buffer and confirm that the written event matches an event present in the event stream.

Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe a testing framework for adaptive virtual services. In an example, a function vendor provides a network function having stated specifications to a service provider. A derived signature is generated for the network function (e.g., based on associated metadata, an image associated with the network function, and/or a network signature for the network function), which is used to classify the network function. The testing framework is used to test the network function according to its classification, thereby determining a set of capabilities. In examples, a network function having the same or similar signature as a previously tested network function may be categorized according to the previously tested network function. The network function is categorized according to its determined capabilities and added to an inventory of network functions for the service provider. Network functions in the inventory can then be selected to form a computer network.
