    Abstract: A biopsy marker that can emit near infrared fluorescence for location of a biopsy site. The biopsy marker has a body formed from a polymer and a quantity of a near infrared fluorescent dye, such as indocyanine green, embedded in the polymer. A near infrared energy source is used to excite the near infrared fluorescent dye. A near infrared energy detector is used to detect any near infrared emissions from the biopsy marker. As a result, any and all biopsy markers within the field of view may be readily identified and located so that the tissue locations can be surgical removed if the tissue samples indicate a risk of cancerous tissue.

    Abstract: Technical solutions for classifying patients with respect to multiple cancer classes are provided. The classification can be done using cell-free whole genome sequencing information from subjects. A reference set of subjects is used to train classifiers to recognize genomic markers that distinguish such cancer classes. The classifier training includes dividing the reference genome into a set of non-overlapping bins, applying a dimensionality reduction method to obtain a feature set, and using the feature set to train classifiers. For subjects with unknown cancer class, the trained classifiers provide probabilities or likelihoods that the subject has a respective cancer class for each cancer in a set of cancer classes. The present disclosure thus describes methods to improve the screening and detection of cancer class from among several cancer classes. This serves to facilitate early and appropriate treatment for subjects afflicted with cancer.

    Abstract: A multiplex assay for nucleic acid detection includes a substrate, a sample, and a fluorophore-labeled oligonucleotide. The fluorophore-labeled oligonucleotide is subsequently added to each assay location, which facilitates identification of a presence of the target nucleic acid in the sample via detection of unquenched light emitted by the fluorophore in one or more of the plurality of assay locations.

An image having distorted text such as a captcha may be transmitted to a device at the point-of-sale, and the customer may read the captcha aloud. A voice sample of the customer may be sent to the financial service provider for comparison to stored voice recordings, to verify that the customer’s voice sample is authentic if the voice matches a previously generated voice recording for the account. If the voice sample is authentic, the financial service provider may authorize the mobile payment.

The prediction model is configured to predict, for an input video frame, one of the plurality of phases of the surgical procedure.
