Abstract: Systems and methods for dynamically suppressing noise at electric vehicle charging sites. In particular, systems and methods are provided for measuring the ambient noise at a charging site and adjusting electric vehicle chargers to reduce noise pollution. In some examples, electric vehicle charger cooling fans potentially generate a high level of noise, and the power output of a charger can be decreased to decrease the heat generated by the chargers, thereby reducing the need for fans. In various examples, reduction of noise pollution can be especially important in specified geographies (e.g., residential neighborhoods) and/or during selected timeframes (e.g., overnight). In various examples, the system interfaces with a central computer service (e.g., a dispatch service) to intelligently route autonomous vehicles to charging sites based on noise levels at various available charging sites.

Abstract: Disclosure is made of methods, apparatus and system for clustering processes for use by a cloud platform. Process clustering may include receiving traffic data transmitted and received between each pair of processes in a set of processes. A matrix may be generated based on the traffic data, the matrix including a row and a column for each process in the set of processes. The matrix may be hierarchically clustered based on the traffic data, the hierarchical clustering outputting a plurality of clusters, each cluster including one or more processes in the set of processes. The plurality of clusters may then be merged into a set of merged clusters of processes.

Abstract: A method of making a ball bat may include forming a bat frame with a handle and an inner barrel structure, providing spacer elements extending radially outwardly from the inner barrel structure, and forming a barrel shell having a main barrel and a tapered section. An inner diameter in the tapered section may be equal to an outer diameter of a first one of the spacer elements. The method may include mechanically locking the barrel shell to the bat frame by passing the handle through the barrel shell and moving the barrel shell toward the inner barrel structure until the barrel shell contacts the first one of the spacer elements. A gap is maintained between an outer diameter of the inner barrel structure and the barrel shell. The barrel shell may deflect during a hit to create a trampoline effect, while the inner barrel structure limits the deflection.

Abstract: A storage system includes a cassette tape case having a first portion defining a recess extending along a length of the case and a second portion that is rotatably coupled with the first portion. The second portion has two protrusions that extend into an interior of the case at a medial position. The protrusions are aligned with a longitudinal axis of the case. A storage device is insertable within the case, the storage device having a storage device body with a two sides and being generally shaped like a cassette tape. The body defines two circular apertures that extend at least partially through a thickness of the body. When the storage device is inserted within the case, each protrusion extends at least partially into a respective circular aperture. The body defines a recess extending along a length of the body and extending partially through the thickness of the body.
