Abstract: Secure architectures and methods for improving the security of mobile devices are disclosed. Also disclosed are apparatuses and methods to detect and mitigate fraud in device-assisted services implementations.

Abstract: A utility belt is disclosed. The utility belt comprises a belt track, a ball bearing assembly, and an extender assembly. The belt track includes a first belt section having a first male locking mechanism and a first female locking mechanism, and a second belt section having a second male locking mechanism and a second female locking mechanism. The first male locking mechanism connects to the second female locking mechanism. The second male locking mechanism connects to the first female locking mechanism. The first belt section and the second belt section each comprises an outer sheath and an inner tube. The inner tube includes a plurality of C-shaped rings. The ball bearing assembly has a ball bearing and a joint. The ball bearing rotates about the belt track. An extender assembly is coupled to the belt track and includes at least one connector and at least one spacer.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a processor to: present prompts guiding selection of first subset terms for estimation of variants of an experiment design based on a model thereof, and second subset terms for estimation using Bayesian modification; monitor for selections of term; in response to each change in the first subset terms, determine whether all first subset terms can be estimated based on the model; in response to the first subset including too many terms, present an indication of too many terms being selected for estimation based on the model; in response to the first subset including fewer terms than can be estimated based on the model, present an indication that more terms could be selected for estimation based on the model; and for each variant of the experiment design, estimate each first subset term based on the model, and estimate each second subset term using Bayesian modification.

Abstract: A weight optimized stiffener for use in a semiconductor device is disclosed herein. In one example, the stiffener is made of AlSiC for its weight and thermal properties. An O-ring provides sealing between a top surface of the stiffener and a component of the semiconductor device and adhesive provides sealing between a bottom surface of the stiffener and another component of the semiconductor device. The stiffener provides warpage control for a lidless package while enabling direct liquid cooling of a chip or substrate.

Abstract: A method of de-spinning a rotor of a propulsion system includes providing one or more spinning rotors rotatably mounted on a frame with a bearing having a bearing outer race, bearing balls, and bearing inner race; providing a force mechanism coupled with the one or more spinning rotors for applying a load to the one or more spinning rotors; and loading an outer portion of the outer bearing race, bearing ball, and inner bearing race of the bearing, a load on the outer portion of the bearing race, bearing ball, and inner bearing race of the bearing corresponding to a force applied to the one or more spinning rotors by the drive mechanism. The one or more spinning rotors de-spin at a rate corresponding to the load on the bearing balls.

Abstract: Aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing, hovering, and efficient forward flight are described. An aircraft includes two side mounted tiltable proprotors and a central rotor disposed above the proprotors. The proprotors are tiltable between at least a horizontal position for forward flight and a vertical position for vertical or hovering flight. The central rotor may be powered for vertical and transitional flight modes and may turn by free autorotation during forward flight. The proprotors may be differentially tilted during vertical or hovering flight to counter torque effects of the central rotor. The central rotor may be foldable and/or easily detachable from the aircraft to facilitate storage and transportation. Left and right proprotors may provide both forward thrust and attitude control. Control inputs to left and right proprotors may be connected directly to an autopilot creating closed loop actuation using motor RPM feedback.

Abstract: A self-contained meal assembly comprises a heating bag, a food pouch, and a heating element. In operation, a heating element is placed along a bottom portion of a heating bag, a food pouch is placed inside proximate the heating element, a predetermined amount of water or other nonflammable aqueous liquid is added, and the heating bag is resealed thereby allowing an exothermic reaction to occur within the heating bag. One or more steam vents formed through a heating bag allow steam to discharge from the interior of the heating bag during operation. The configuration of the steam vent(s) allows a controlled release of high temperature steam from the heating bag as it circulates within the heating bag to the steam vent(s) at a safe discharge angle relative to the sides of the heating bag.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for a first media sharing platform to incorporate context of a post from a second media sharing platform into a first user interface of the first media sharing platform. A system includes a processor that receives, via a post displayed in a second user interface of the second media sharing platform, a user request pertaining to a media content item referenced in the post in the second user interface identifying the media content item and comprising post content associated with the media content item and a first plurality of user interface (UI) elements. The processor provides one or more first UI elements of the first plurality of UI elements and the post content from the second user interface for presentation within the first user interface.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a storage management method, an electronic device, and a computer program product. The method includes determining at least one count corresponding to at least one data segment of a file in a file set, the file set being stored in a local storage device, and the at least one count indicating the number of occurrences of the at least one data segment in the file set. The method further includes determining a deduplication ratio of the file based on the at least one count, the deduplication ratio indicating an overlapping level of the file with other files in the file set. The method further includes migrating the file from the local storage device to a remote storage device according to a determination that the deduplication ratio of the file is lower than a threshold.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for improving interactions with and between computers in electronic messaging, and other, systems supported by or configured with personal computing devices, servers and/or platforms. The systems interact to identify and retrieve data within or across platforms, which can be used to improve the quality of data used in processing interactions between or among processors in such systems. The disclosed systems and methods provide systems and methods for automatically generating data extraction rules, which can then be used to automatically extract data from electronic messages.

Abstract: A method, performed by a User Equipment (UE), for Uplink (UL) transmission management includes the UE determining a default spatial domain transmission filter for an UL resource according to at least one Quasi Co-Location (QCL) parameter of a Control Resource Set (CORESET) after determining that the UL resource is not configured with a spatial domain transmission filter and a pathloss reference Reference Signal (RS) resource, and transmitting the UL resource by applying the default spatial domain transmission filter.

Abstract: A sensor assembly for a vehicle includes a base, a sensor body mounted to the base and rotatable relative to the base around an axis in a direction of rotation, and a cover. The sensor body includes a sensor window and a wall having heat fins elongated circumferentially relative to the axis. The cover is positioned to cover the heat fins. The cover includes an inlet open in the direction of rotation. The cover defines an airflow path from the inlet through the heat fins. The cover includes an outlet positioned to direct air across the sensor window.

Abstract: This document describes techniques and devices for Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy using a mobile device. A mobile device (502) includes a light source (504) that emits light toward an interferometer (508) that uses mirrors to separate and recombine the light. The interferometer directs the recombined light toward a person. Light reflected from, or transmitted through, the person is received through a reception port (506) to a photodetector (510) that outputs photodetector data that corresponds to a measured light intensity of the reflected and transmitted light as a function of a path length of the light or a mirror position of the interferometer. Based on the photodetector data, an interferogram is generated. Applying a technique such as a Fourier transform to the interferogram, a spectrum data set of the reflected and transmitted light is generated. Based on the spectrum data set, a concentration of solutes in the person's blood is calculated.

Abstract: An apparatus for resisting a gravity load is disclosed. The apparatus has a first end member, a second end member, and a plurality of elongated structural members, each of the plurality of elongated structural members including a first end portion attached to the first end member and a second end portion attached to the second end member. The plurality of elongated structural members is oriented to resist compressive stresses or tensile stresses induced by the gravity load. The plurality of elongated structural members is formed from plants with a harvest cycle of four years or fewer.

Abstract: Techniques for monitoring the individual feed and water intake and pharmaceutical use and unmetabolized residual alerting in the livestock industry. Livestock have sensors installed on or in their bodies to detect consumption of feed and water for each animal in an environment where multiple animals are present. Sensors communicate data regarding the duration and timing of individual animals feeding habits. Health and efficiency status data is recorded per animal and analyzed to determine whether to issue an alert indicating problems with individual animals. The system tracks the health and efficiency data for each animal, pen or farm and generates statistical information regarding the sensor data. The system communicates with user interface to display notifications and statistical data. In addition, the pharmaceutical monitoring system alerts when any unmetabolized residual pharmaceuticals are still in the animals when the animal is being readied for shipping to a packing plant.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software for secure access control to digitally stored information. Owners of digitally stored information enter access control data using a first graphical user interface (GUI) on a first device. Vault space is allocated in memory for receiving and storing the information remotely from the first device. A keyholder and a guardian identified by the access control data are associated with the information. A keyholder access request for the information is transmitted via a second GUI on a second device. Responsive to determining the keyholder to be associated with the information, a third device of a guardian receives a notification of the access request, and the guardian may use a third GUI to transmit an access authorization. The information may be transmitted to the second device upon determining that the guardian is associated with the information.

Abstract: A monitor includes a casing with a display, a display controller disposed within the casing and that controls the display, a processor disposed within the casing that controls the display and communicates with a fifth generation (5G) network, a 5G antenna that connects the monitor to the 5G network, and a switch that switches the processor between an activated state and a deactivated state. The monitor is a zero-client system when the processor is in the activated state and a plain display when the processor is in the deactivated state.

Abstract: A circuit device formed from a functional substrate. The circuit device comprises a functional substrate component and printed electronic elements formed on the functional substrate component. The printed electronic elements formed on the functional substrate component interact with the substrate component to perform a function and to modify the functional substrate component. The circuit device typically needs a passive base material that takes no functional part in the device operation except mechanical support.
