Abstract: A cold brew coffee apparatus has a first container, a second container, a centerpiece connector, and a filter. Preferably, the filter is positionable within the first container such that it divides the filter interior volume from the remainder of the first container interior volume. Preferably, cold brew infusion occurs when water in the first container interior volume passes through the water-permeable barrier and soaks coffee grounds within the filter interior volume to form a soluble coffee extract. An alternative cold brew coffee apparatus includes only a single brew chamber and a filter.
Abstract: A sensor positioning system, includes an actuation server for communicating with components of the sensor positioning system. The sensor positioning system additionally includes a first actuation system and a second actuation system, wherein each actuation system includes a pulley system for maneuvering an underwater sensor system. The sensor positioning system includes a dual point attachment bracket that connects through a first line to the first actuation system and connecting through a second line to the second actuation system. The underwater sensor system is affixed to the first pulley system, the second pulley system, and the dual attachment bracket through the first line and the second line.
Abstract: A downhole assembly that includes tubulars rotationally coupled to one another. An interface is between adjacent tubulars that makes up at least a portion of the rotational coupling. Certain surfaces of adjacent tubulars come into contact with one another when adjacent tubulars are rotationally coupled; and which are defined as contact surfaces. Each contact surface is profiled with facets that are complementary to facets on a corresponding contact surface of an adjacent tubular. The profiling of the contact surfaces is such that when a contact surface is brought together with a corresponding contact surface; facets on the contact surface abut facets on the corresponding contact surface along planes that are oblique or parallel with an axis of the tubular. At least some of a rotational torque transmitted between adjacent tubulars occurs across the abutting facets.

Abstract: A hemorrhoid relief product that provides an intergluteal spacer for gentle separation of the gluteal cheeks, external support of hemmorhoidal tissue with a cradling effect on inflamed or prolapsed or related perianal tissues, while providing absorption. The product optionally includes adhesive to secure the device in place. The product may include a cavity for positioning over hemorrhoidal tissue to provide pressure adjustment, and may also include at least one nub for selectively applying and/or adjusting pressure to areas. The product may include a trapezoidal, or other, cross-section for easier fit, as well as a split end for adherence to multiple gluteal cheeks and anatomy in the relevant area.
Abstract: The process and apparatus of the disclosure utilize a heater between a hydroprocessing reactor and a hydroisomerization reactor. A hydroprocessing feed exchanger cools hydroprocessed effluent to effect turndown of heated hydroprocessed effluent so as to not feed the hydroprocessed effluent to the hydroisomerization reactor at a higher temperature than necessary.

Abstract: A rim assembly for a bicycle wheel includes a rim, a first protruding tire retaining feature attached to a first surface of the rim, and a second protruding tire retaining feature attached to a second surface of the rim. The first surface is a surface of a first tire retaining wall of a radially outer tire engaging portion of the rim, and the second surface is a surface of a second tire retaining wall of the radially outer tire engaging portion. The second surface faces the first surface. The first protruding tire retaining feature and the second protruding tire retaining feature are made of a first material, and the first tire retaining wall and the second tire retaining wall are made of a second material. The second material is different than the first material.

Abstract: UAV configurations and battery augmentation for UAV internal combustion engines, and associated systems and methods are disclosed. A representative configuration includes a fuselage, first and second wings coupled to and pivotable relative to the fuselage, and a plurality of lift rotors carried by the fuselage. A representative battery augmentation arrangement includes a DC-powered motor, an electronic speed controller, and a genset subsystem coupled to the electronic speed controller. The genset subsystem can include a battery set, an alternator, and a motor-gen controller having a phase control circuit configurable to rectify multiphase AC output from the alternator to produce rectified DC feed to the DC-powered motor. The motor-gen controller is configurable to draw DC power from the battery set to produce the rectified DC feed.
Abstract: An anti-slip yoga rug comprising a fabric weave including a weft and a warp. The anti-slip yoga rug also comprising a topside grip, the topside grip including an anti-slip ridge woven into the fabric weave, and a bottom-side grip. The anti-slip yoga rug further including an edger that circumferentially surrounds one or more edges of the anti-slip yoga rug and wherein the bottom-side grip mechanically connects to an underside of the edger.
Abstract: In some implementations, an optical assembly comprises an optical cavity; one or more detectors; and an optical component having an input face and an output face configured to receive an input beam to the input face and to produce one or more primary output beams, and a plurality of secondary output beams from the output face, the secondary output beams resulting from multiple internal reflections within the optical component. At least one of the input face is not perpendicular to the input beam or the output face is not perpendicular to the one or more primary output beams. Each primary output beam is transmitted through the optical cavity perpendicular to at least one surface of the optical cavity, and directed to a respective one of the one or more detectors. Each detector is arranged to exclude at least a portion of each secondary output beam.

Abstract: An orthopedic field splint and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the orthopedic field splint, a body has flexion and extension movement parallel to a longitudinal axis between a horizontal axial plane and a rolled sleeve. A coupling member is hingedly connected to the body in overlapping releasable engagement in a closed retracted position and extending beyond the body in an open extended position. A receiving pocket is connected to the body. The receiving pocket and the coupling member having mutually completing mating forms. Multiple sleeves extend longitudinally through the body and each of the sleeves is parallel to the longitudinal axis and configured to accept a rigid slat.
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer-storage media, for sea lice mitigation. In some implementations, a method includes obtaining multiple observations of a population of reference fish across a period of time, generating, from the multiple observations, a record for each reference fish that indicates an extent of sea lice infestation for the reference fish across the period of time, training, based on the records, a model that determines a predicted health indicator for a fish, obtaining an image of a sample fish that is not in the population of reference fish, determining, based on the image of the sample fish and with the model, a predicted health indicator for the sample fish, and selectively initiating sea lice mitigation based on the predicted health indicator.
Abstract: A computer-implemented method of field calibrating a device is disclosed. In one example, a reference image is acquired, via an infrared camera, while the device is in a factory-calibrated state. The reference image measures a factory-calibrated spatial relationship of one or more infrared-visible fiducial markers of the device relative to the infrared camera while the device is in the factory-calibrated state. Later, a field image is acquired, via the infrared camera. The field image measures an updated spatial relationship of the one or more infrared-visible fiducial markers relative to the infrared camera. The device is field calibrated based on the reference image and the field image.
