Abstract: An information handling system for managing a storage system includes storage and a storage manager. The storage is for storing a concurrency effect model for the storage system. The storage manager obtains a request for a latency prediction for the storage system; obtains media access time estimates for the storage system using a trace that specifies: a series of accesses; and responses, by the storage system, to the series of accesses; obtain concurrency estimates for the trace using the media access time estimates; obtains modifications for the media access time estimates using: the concurrency effect model; and the concurrency estimates; updates the media access time estimates using the modifications to obtain a latency prediction for the storage system; and performs an action set, based on the latency prediction, to manage operation of the storage system.

Abstract: A method for providing imagery to a user on a display includes receiving eye tracking data. The method also includes determining a current gaze location and a relative distance between the current gaze location and an edge of the display using the eye tracking data. The method also includes defining a first tile centered at the current gaze location and multiple tiles that surround the first tile using the current gaze location and the relative distance between the current gaze location and the edge of the display. The method includes providing a foveated rendered image using the first tile and the multiple tiles.

Abstract: A mobile tower for transportation to and rapid deployment at remote sites where the mobile tower can be engaged with the ground, the mobile tower including an extendable and retractable tower secured to a mobile support structure including a frame having a plurality of rapidly deployable outriggers, wherein the tower includes three series of pivotally interconnected tower sections or segments, sections or segments of which engage with segments of each of the other series when the tower is assembled; the mobile tower including a plurality of guy wires secured between the extendable and retractable tower and the respective outriggers to stabilize the tower after the tower is assembled. The guy wires are preferably secured to the extendable and retractable tower at first and second connecting positions that are displaced from one another about an outer perimeter. Methods of deploying the mobile tower are also disclosed.

Abstract: A cold brew coffee apparatus has a first container, a second container, a centerpiece connector, and a filter. Preferably, the filter is positionable within the first container such that it divides the filter interior volume from the remainder of the first container interior volume. Preferably, cold brew infusion occurs when water in the first container interior volume passes through the water-permeable barrier and soaks coffee grounds within the filter interior volume to form a soluble coffee extract. An alternative cold brew coffee apparatus includes only a single brew chamber and a filter.

Abstract: An apparatus includes a processor to: present prompts guiding selection of first subset terms for estimation of variants of an experiment design based on a model thereof, and second subset terms for estimation using Bayesian modification; monitor for selections of term; in response to each change in the first subset terms, determine whether all first subset terms can be estimated based on the model; in response to the first subset including too many terms, present an indication of too many terms being selected for estimation based on the model; in response to the first subset including fewer terms than can be estimated based on the model, present an indication that more terms could be selected for estimation based on the model; and for each variant of the experiment design, estimate each first subset term based on the model, and estimate each second subset term using Bayesian modification.

Abstract: A weight optimized stiffener for use in a semiconductor device is disclosed herein. In one example, the stiffener is made of AlSiC for its weight and thermal properties. An O-ring provides sealing between a top surface of the stiffener and a component of the semiconductor device and adhesive provides sealing between a bottom surface of the stiffener and another component of the semiconductor device. The stiffener provides warpage control for a lidless package while enabling direct liquid cooling of a chip or substrate.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and software for secure access control to digitally stored information. Owners of digitally stored information enter access control data using a first graphical user interface (GUI) on a first device. Vault space is allocated in memory for receiving and storing the information remotely from the first device. A keyholder and a guardian identified by the access control data are associated with the information. A keyholder access request for the information is transmitted via a second GUI on a second device. Responsive to determining the keyholder to be associated with the information, a third device of a guardian receives a notification of the access request, and the guardian may use a third GUI to transmit an access authorization. The information may be transmitted to the second device upon determining that the guardian is associated with the information.

The monitor is a zero-client system when the processor is in the activated state and a plain display when the processor is in the deactivated state.

Abstract: A packaging system that maintains the free flowing characteristic of solid materials contained therein. The packaging system includes a container, a cover, a vapor permeable bag, a vapor impermeable liner and at least two desiccant snakes. The vapor permeable bag has an opening for receiving solid materials and is formed from cloth or continuous fibers of high-density polyethylene that are randomly distributed and non-directional. The vapor impermeable liner surrounds the vapor permeable bag and provides a moisture barrier. The desiccant snakes are disposed between the vapor permeable bag and the liner. Each snake includes two or more desiccant packages formed from a vapor permeable material through which moisture can freely pass. The desiccant packages contain clay, silica, or molecular sieves.

Abstract: A first charging data record (CDR) generating node can receive charging server information and available CDR storage information from a second CDR generating node. The first CDR generating node can detect that the charging server is unavailable to receive CDRs from the first CDR generating node. The first CDR generating node can also determine that a CDR storage area corresponding to the first CDR generating node should not be used to store additional CDRs. The first CDR generating node can also select the second CDR generating node for storing the additional CDRs that are generated by the first CDR generating node. The second CDR generating node can be selected based at least in part on the charging server information and the available CDR storage information. The first CDR generating node can cause at least one CDR to be sent to the second CDR generating node.

Abstract: The process and apparatus of the disclosure utilize a heater between a hydroprocessing reactor and a hydroisomerization reactor. A hydroprocessing feed exchanger cools hydroprocessed effluent to effect turndown of heated hydroprocessed effluent so as to not feed the hydroprocessed effluent to the hydroisomerization reactor at a higher temperature than necessary.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a storage management method, an electronic device, and a computer program product. The method includes determining at least one count corresponding to at least one data segment of a file in a file set, the file set being stored in a local storage device, and the at least one count indicating the number of occurrences of the at least one data segment in the file set. The method further includes determining a deduplication ratio of the file based on the at least one count, the deduplication ratio indicating an overlapping level of the file with other files in the file set. The method further includes migrating the file from the local storage device to a remote storage device according to a determination that the deduplication ratio of the file is lower than a threshold.
