Abstract: A downhole tool for use in a downhole drill string is provided. The downhole tool includes a rotor movably coupled within a stator, and a drive shaft movably coupled within a bearing housing. The drive shaft has a first end coupled with the rotor and a second end coupled with a drill bit. Bearing assemblies interfaces engagement between the drive shaft and the bearing housing, including polycrystalline diamond elements, each with an engagement surface, and an opposing engagement surface of a non-superhard metal.

Abstract: A stent is provided that includes a body extending between a distal and a proximal end. The body is defined by a plurality of elongated members, with each elongated member extending between a distal end that is coterminous with the distal end of the body and a proximal end that is coterminous with the proximal end of the body. Each of the plurality of elongated members are arranged so as to define a lumen extending along the length of the respective plurality of elongated members, the lumen extending between the distal and proximal ends of the body so as to form a lumen length. Each of the plurality of elongated members are configured to permit drainage of a fluid from within the lumen to an environment external the stent along the entire lumen length.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for utilizing blockchain to implement named data networking. In various embodiments, a computing system might determine whether a cache that is communicatively coupled to the computing system contains data that is responsive to a first request received from a user. If so, the computing system might retrieve and send (to the client device) data that is responsive to the received first request. If not, the computing system might send, to a blockchain system, a second request for identifying a blockchain containing a block containing data responsive to the received first request. In response to identifying such a blockchain, the computing system might receive a copy of the identified blockchain; might abstract, from the identified blockchain, the block containing the data responsive to the received first request; might abstract the data from the identified block; and might send the data to the client device.

Abstract: A bomb disposal suit includes a jacket, trousers, and a back protector connected between the jacket and the trousers. The back protector includes a body of impact resistant material having a plenum with an intake opening to receive forced air and with outlet openings to direct forced air out of the plenum. A fan forces air into the intake opening. The back protector can transmit load vertically from the jacket to the trousers, for example, via a back plate.

Abstract: A solid pellet fueled heater having a base unit with forced air blowers and a dual tube chimney structure is disclosed. The dual tube chimney structure may be used to warm incoming air for distribution around the heater. The pellet heater may also include a dual auger system and multi/high speed auger motor. The dual auger may include first and second auger blades mounted on a single auger shaft having blade pitches configured to convey solid fuel in opposite directions.

Abstract: Integrated circuits with enhanced EOS/ESD robustness and methods of designing same. One such integrated circuit includes a plurality of input/output pads, a positive voltage rail, a ground voltage rail, a collection of internal circuits representing the operational core of the integrated circuit, a plurality of input/output buffering circuits connected as inputs and outputs to the internal circuits, wherein the internal circuits and the input/output buffering circuits comprise functional devices, and a plurality of EOS/ESD protection circuits interconnected with the input/output pads to limit ESD voltage and/or shunt ESD current away from the functional devices. At least one of the EOS/ESD protection circuits is a MOSFET. The MOSFET has a source region having an accompanying ohmic contact. The MOSFET further has a rectifying junction contact in place of a drain region and accompanying ohmic contact.

Abstract: A system for structured light depth computation using single photon avalanche diodes (SPADs) is configurable to, over a frame capture time period, selectively activate the illuminator to perform interleaved structured light illumination operations. The interleaved structured light illumination operations comprise alternately emitting at least a first structured light pattern from the illuminator and emitting at least a second structured light pattern from the illuminator. The system is also configurable to, over the frame capture time period, perform a plurality of sequential shutter operations to configure each SPAD pixel of the SPAD array to enable photon detection. The plurality of sequential shutter operations generates, for each SPAD pixel of the SPAD array, a plurality of binary counts indicating whether a photon was detected during each of the plurality of sequential shutter operations.

In some implementations, an aspect of a location may be determined based on comparing a first computing interaction measure for the location to a second measure. The first computing interaction measure may be determined based on a first group of computing interactions that pertain to the location. In some implementations, the second measure may be determined based on a second group of addition computing interactions. In some implementations, a textual summary may be generated automatically based on the first and/or second computing interaction measure, and/or based on the determined aspect.

Abstract: A system and method for food traceability from a food service location to the consumer is disclosed. The method comprises marking food items with a received label as the food items are received. This received label identifies a storage location for the food item and generates traceability information for the food item. If the food item is not intended for storage, then the food item is transferred to a prep table and unique item information is generated for the food item. The food item can then be prepped for usage. During the prepping process, the food item's expiration date is verified, and a serial number is generated, and a use by date is calculated. If the prepped food item is to be served to a consumer, a label is generated with traceability information, and unneeded ingredients are re-purposed or properly disposed of.

Abstract: A computing system includes an encoder that receives an input image and encodes the input image into real image features, a decoder that decodes the real image features into a reconstructed image, a generator that receives first audio data corresponding to the input image and generates first synthetic image features from the first audio data, and receives second audio data and generates second synthetic image features from the second audio data, a discriminator that receives both the real and synthetic image features and determines whether a target feature is real or synthetic, and a classifier that classifies a scene of the second audio data based on the second synthetic image features.

Abstract: An apparatus for implementing a game having a deterministic component and a non-deterministic component wherein a player uses the game through at least one player interface unit. Each player interface unit generates a player record indicating player-initiated events. A random number generator provides a series of pseudo-random numbers and a rules library stores indexed rules for one or more games. An interface registry stores mapping records where the mapping records are used to associate the player-initiated events to pre-selected rules in the rules library. A control means is coupled to the player interface to receive the output of the player interface unit, coupled to the interface registry, the rules library, and the random number generator.

Abstract: A sensing device includes a concave side adapted to conform to a curvature of an outer side of a standard concrete test cylinder, a temperature sensor, and a humidity sensor. In one embodiment, the sensing device includes a capillary needle disposed on the concave side. The capillary needle comprises a humidity sensor. The sensing device is attached to the side of a concrete test cylinder, temperature and humidity measurements are obtained by the sensing device, and a prediction of maturity and strength of the concrete is generated based on the temperature and humidity measurements.

Abstract: Aspects described herein may allow for detecting fraudulent transaction requests using light sensors on smartcards. A computing device may receive, from a terminal, a request to approve a transaction. The request may comprise a timestamp corresponding to a time when the transaction was requested, a transaction type associated with the transaction, and an identification of a card associated with the transaction. The computing device may also receive, from one or more light sensors associated with the card, light data. The light data indicates an amount of ambient light during a time period when the transaction was requested. The computing device may determine, based on the transaction type, a model of expected ambient light. If the light data corresponds to the model, the computing device may send, based on the determination that the light data corresponds to the model, an approval of the request.

Abstract: An information technology (IT) equipment cooling system includes a coolant unit to be coupled to an electronic rack, the coolant unit to supply a two phase liquid coolant to one or more IT equipment cooling sets mounted within on an electronic rack. Each of the one or more IT equipment cooling sets includes an IT unit having one or more pieces of IT equipment configured to provide IT services and is at least partially submerged within the two phase liquid coolant, where, while the IT equipment provides the IT services, the IT equipment generates heat that is transferred to the two phase liquid coolant thereby causing at least some of the two phase liquid coolant to turn into vapor phase. The IT equipment cooling set includes an IT condensing unit having a condenser positioned above the IT unit and the condenser is to condense the vapor back into liquid state.
