Abstract: Mechanisms, which can include systems, method, and media, for protecting network devices from malicious rich text format (RTF) files are provided, the mechanisms comprising: intercepting an RTF file destined for a network device; parsing the RTF file to identify a plurality of objects in the RTF file; checking a first object of the plurality of objects for a first heuristic; based upon an outcome of the checking of the first object for the first heuristic, increasing a cumulative weight by a first weight value; comparing the cumulative weight against at least one threshold to classify the RTF file; and based on the classification of the RTF file, taking a protective action on the RTF file.
Abstract: The present invention relates to allulose syrups, use of allulose syrups in the manufacture of food or beverage products, and food and beverage products made using the allulose syrups.
Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for automatically determining friction of a control valve. An example apparatus includes a hysteresis measurement controller to determine an average control hysteresis value for a valve over a first range of travel of the valve, a comparator to compare the average control hysteresis value to a second value corresponding to a second range of travel of the valve encompassing the first range of travel of the valve, and a step size selector to select one of multiple control step sizes for the valve based on the comparison.
Abstract: An expandable pipe seal includes a sleeve that is expandable from a first, compact configuration to a second, expanded configuration having a larger outer diameter than the first configuration. The sleeve may be formed from sheet material that is rolled into a cylindrical shape such that a first longitudinal edge of the sheet overlaps a second longitudinal edge of the sheet in a circumferential direction. The sleeve is provided with first and second locking structures that cooperate to facilitate expansion of the sleeve from the first configuration to the second configuration and, thereafter, maintain the sleeve in the expanded configuration. The pipe seal includes sealing structure disposed on an outer surface of the sleeve, and which is compressed against the inner wall of a pipe to be repaired in the second configuration of the sleeve.
Abstract: A structurally supportive device for constructing a weight-bearing feature in a wet area of a building, such as but not limited to a shelf, seat or step in a shower, bath, tub, sauna, spa or swimming pool, comprising a triangular horizontal support surface with first, second, and third edges, wherein the first and the second edges form a right angle; a vertical presentation surface depending down from the third edge; a horizontal support lip along a bottom edge of the vertical presentation surface; and attachment tabs protruding from the first and second edges, with each tab running at least two-thirds the length of the first or second edge; wherein the tabs protrude sufficiently far to be received into a slot formed into a wall surface finishing material but not so far as to penetrate a waterproof membrane or a wall board, and wherein the horizontal support surface and vertical presentation surface are configured to receive a feature finishing material such as tile, stone or solid surface material.
Abstract: Technologies are disclosed for resource mapping during URL changes in multi-tenant distributed computing systems. The distributed computing system may resolve a URL by using a tenant and/or site name extracted from the URL to retrieve an entry in a site map table. The entry includes an address to a database that contains the requested content. After a tenant or site name has been changed, or if the tenant or site have been moved, the distributed computing system will resolve pre-existing URLs to the old entry, resulting in a file not found error. In some embodiments, during an operation that changes a tenant or site name, a redirect URL containing the new tenant and/or site name is added to the old entry. When a request addressed to a URL containing the old tenant and/or site names is received, the distributed system sends a redirect response that includes the redirect URL.
Abstract: An amusement park system in accordance with present embodiments includes multiple separated park areas, an autonomous vehicle configured to drive along ground surfaces within the multiple separated park areas, and a gondola system configured to transport the autonomous vehicle between the multiple separated park areas. The amusement park system further includes a control system configured to operate the autonomous vehicle to engage with and disengage from the gondola system to facilitate transport of the autonomous vehicle by the gondola system.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides systems and methods that learn a loss function that, when (approximately) minimized over the training data, produces a model that performs well on test data according to some error metric. The error metric need not be differentiable and may be only loosely related to the loss function. In particular, the present disclosure presents a convex-programming-based algorithm that takes as input observed data from training a small number of models and produces as output a loss function. This algorithm can be used to tune loss function hyperparameters and/or to adjust the loss function on-the-fly during training.
