Abstract: A vehicle operational diagnostics and condition response system includes at least an axle supporting a vehicle frame, a suspension disposed between and secured to each the vehicle frame and the axle, a load detection device interacting with the suspension and communicating with a system controller, wherein the system controller is supported by the vehicle frame, and a vehicle pairing circuit, the vehicle pairing circuit interacting with the system controller. The vehicle pairing circuit activated by the system controller in response to load detection data received by the system controller from the load detection device.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments are directed to a pedal for a bicycle that includes a body, a spindle rotatably secured to the body and for connection with the bicycle, a first magnetic platter non-rotatably secured within the body, and a second magnetic platter rotatably secured within the body and overlaying the first magnetic platter. The first and second magnetic platters each include two magnetic blocks that are separated and magnetically charged by a respective permanent magnet plate positioned therebetween. The second magnetic platter includes a keyed protrusion configured to be engaged by a ferrous metal cleat, which can rotate the second magnetic platter between a first position where the pedal is in a magnetically inactive state and a second position where the pedal is in a magnetically active state magnetically securing the cleat to the second magnetic platter.

Abstract: A method of performing laser surgery in a patient's eye includes generating a light beam, deflecting the light beam using a scanner to form an enclosed treatment pattern that is configured to form an enclosed capsulorhexis incision that includes a registration feature, and delivering the enclosed treatment pattern to target tissue in the patient's eye to form in an anterior lens capsule of the patient's eye the enclosed capsulorhexis incision that includes the registration feature. The registration feature is configured so that an edge of the target tissue formed by the enclosed capsulorhexis incision mates with an intraocular lens registration feature on an intraocular lens so as to rotationally register the intraocular lens relative to the registration feature.

Abstract: A feedwater sparger repair assembly includes a cover plate having a partial cylindrical shape and having a nozzle opening and a pair of bolt openings extending through the cover plate. A nozzle is attached to the cover plate and surrounds the nozzle opening. A pair of T-bolts extend through a respective one of the pair of bolt openings and each include a shank having a threaded portion extending from an exterior side of the cover plate and a partial cylindrical head portion disposed at an end of the shank on an interior side of the cover plate. A pair of nuts are engaged with the threaded portion of the pair of T-bolts. The feedwater sparger repair assembly is adapted to be mounted to an opening that is cut into a core spray pipe in order to repair/replace a sparger that becomes cracked.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a body portion having a front portion, a rear portion, a toe portion, a heel portion, a bottom portion, an interior cavity, and a top portion having an opening to the interior cavity. The golf club head also includes a crown portion attached to the top portion and covering the opening in the top portion and enclosing the interior cavity. The crown portion may include an inner composite layer defining an inner surface of the crown portion, an outer composite layer defining an outer surface of the crown portion, and an inner crown portion layer attached to the inner surface. The inner crown portion layer is configured to dampen vibration of the golf club head. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: A crash cushion includes a number of spaced-apart supports or bulkheads; energy-absorbing modules positioned between the supports; overlapping side panels that interconnect the supports; front and rear fixed anchors; and reinforcing cables extending between the anchors. The crash cushion also includes indexing structure that permits each hinge to be selectively mounted in several different positions with respect to its support; angle set structure that allows the hinges to pivot relative to the supports up to a defined pivot range.

Abstract: A computerized system associates each arbitrator computer of a plurality of arbitrator computers with a different one of a plurality of credit manager computers, wherein each associated arbitrator computer of the plurality of arbitrator computers is located geographically more proximate to an associated trader workstation of a plurality of trader workstations than others of the plurality of arbitrator computers, and locates the different one of the plurality of credit manager computers in a same location as the associated arbitrator computer so as to provide low network latency between a time an electronic trade order is transmitted from the associated trader workstation and received by the associated arbitrator computer and a time that a match is made by the associated arbitrator computer.

Abstract: A hybrid core for manufacturing a cast component, the hybrid core including a sand core portion having an exterior shape configured to define an interior feature of the cast component. The hybrid core also includes a metal chill element embedded within the sand core portion. The metal chill element is configured to locally absorb heat energy from the cast component during cooling of the cast component and solidification thereof. The metal chill element is constructed and arranged within the sand core portion to be removed during shake out from the cast component subsequent to the solidification thereof. A system and a method for manufacturing a cast component using such a hybrid core are also envisioned.

Abstract: A linear LED lamp having a body with a length between spaced first and second ends. The linear LED lamp has an elongate heat sink and a light source comprising LED emitters and a first end cap assembly at the first end of the body. The first end cap assembly has conductive power and ground pins and a support connector has conductive power and ground terminals for connecting with an external power supply and providing a grounding path for components of the lamp. The power and ground pins of the first end cap assembly are configured to engage the power and ground terminals of the support connector as an incident of the first end cap assembly moving relative to the support connector in a path that is transverse to the length of the body into an engaged position. A sleeve connector is also provided for mounting a non-power end of a linear LED lamp to a light fixture.

Abstract: An environmental control unit, such as an HVAC or heat pump unit, includes a housing which contains four main components: a blower which draws air into the housing via an air inlet and exhausts air from the housing via an air outlet; a first heat exchanger that exchanges heat through the air and is located between the air inlet and the blower; a second heat exchanger, which exchanges heat through water and is disposed in the second area of the housing; and a compressor. The environmental control unit having a predetermined set of parts can be arranged in multiple configurations to meet installation requirements, where configurations include air entering from the left side or, alternatively, from the right of the environmental control unit. The configurations utilize the same parts and provide front-facing access to fluid connections and the control board.

Abstract: An automatic splicing apparatus and methods thereof are provided herein for splicing together two ends of a sheet of tire material on a tire building drum. The apparatus comprises a frame, a splicer foot assembly, and a splicer roller assembly. The frame is configured to support the apparatus relative to the drum. The splicer foot assembly and the splicer roller assembly are independently longitudinally translatable relative to the frame. The splicer foot assembly includes a splicer foot having forward lower preparation rollers and rearward lower splicer rollers, and upper preparation rollers configured to operate in coordination with the forward lower preparation rollers to pull the two ends of the sheet of tire material together over the splicer foot. The splicer roller assembly includes upper splicer rollers configured to act in coordination with the rearward lower splicer rollers to splice the two ends together.

Abstract: In creating an extent array in a storage system, in response to receiving a request to generate an extent array using idle extents in storage devices, a width of an extent stripe is determined, and a size of the extent array is designated by the storage system. A first extent group and a second extent group are respectively selected from the storage devices based on the width to form a first extent stripe and a second extent stripe, and a first extent at a given position in the first extent group and a second extent at a given position in the second extent group are respectively located in different storage devices. Based on the first extent stripe and the second extent stripe, an address mapping representing the extent array is generated. The address mapping includes association between extent identifiers of extents and extent indexes of the extents.

An example method includes determining a moving average of duty cycle periods for a power component of a vehicle for recent power load events, each of the duty cycle periods having both on-time portions and off-time portions; and when the on-time portions of the moving average are above a predetermined percentage, an engine of the vehicle remains in an on-state condition, further wherein when a current off-time period of the power component exceeds a value equal to a predetermined multiplier applied to the off-time portions, the engine is placed in an off-state condition.

For example, the first application name may be the name of the application, a Universal Resource Locator (URL) of a web site (e.g., microfocus.com), and/or the like. The first application name represents a computer application of a plurality of computer applications that the user logs into. A global password is received from the user. The global password is used as a seed to login to the plurality of computer applications. The global password is converted to a phonetic password. A first application password is generated for the first computer application based on the first application name and the phonetic password. For example, the first application name and the phonetic password are used as an input to a key deviation function. The first application password is then displayed to the user. The user can then use the displayed password to login to the first application.

Abstract: Described is a system for detecting adversarial activities. During operation, the system generates a multi-layer temporal graph tensor (MTGT) representation based on an input tag stream of activities. The MTGT representation is decomposed to identify normal activities and abnormal activities, with the abnormal activities being designated as adversarial activities. A device can then be controlled based on the designation of the adversarial activities.

Abstract: A system for data collection is disclosed. The system may include a data collection circuit to monitor a status of a loan and the loan's collateral, and a smart contract circuit automatically initiate at a substitution, a removal, or an addition of one or items from the collateral for the loan based on a smart lending contract in response to one of the status of the loan or the status of the collateral for the loan. The system may also include a blockchain service circuit to interpret a plurality of access control features for at least one party associated with the loan and record the substitution, removal, or addition in a distributed ledger for the loan.
