Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a kit for cleaning biological fluids from a surface. The kit comprises at least one protective article of clothing, absorbent powder, a trash bag, surface sanitizer, an absorbent towel, a scraper, a handle, and a dustpan. The dustpan is configured to be securely coupled to the handle. The dustpan has a lid and a base and can alternate between an open position and a self-sealing closed position. In the closed position the base and lid define an interior volume having a height along a y-axis, a width along an x-axis, and a depth along a z-axis. An adhesive strip is coupled to a lip of the dustpan and is configured to interact with a surface and temporarily engage the dustpan with the surface. The absorbent powder is a mixture of a super absorbent polymer and perlite.

Abstract: A system for applying a coating composition to a substrate utilizing a high transfer efficiency applicator is provided herein. The system includes a storage device for storing instructions for performing a matching protocol, and one or more data processors configured to execute the instructions to, receive, by one or more data processors, target image data of a target coating, the target image data generated by an electronic imaging device, and apply the target image data to a matching protocol to generate application instructions. The system further includes a high transfer efficiency applicator defining a nozzle orifice. The high transfer efficiency applicator is configured to expel the coating composition through the nozzle orifice to the substrate to form a coating layer. The high transfer efficiency applicator is configured expel the coating composition based on the application instructions.

Abstract: A tree saw attachment for a modular landscape trimmer is disclosed. In one embodiment, the tree saw attachment is provided with a drive unit having a drive shaft operably connectable to a motive source and a transmission operably connected to the drive shaft. An anvil is connected to and extending from an output side of the transmission of the drive unit, and a blade is connected to the output shaft of the transmission. The blade has an arcuate outer peripheral edge with teeth formed along a portion thereof forming a cutting edge so as the output shaft is rotated, the distance between the cutting edge and a central axis of the output shaft increases until the blade has substantially completed one rotation. Rotation of the blade causes the blade to move transversely with respect to the anvil to engage and cut material positioned between the blade and the anvil.

The sliding member has one axial direction end portion coupled to a first attachment portion provided at a first attachment that is mounted to one of a maxilla or a mandible. The sleeve has one axial direction end portion coupled to a second attachment portion provided at a second attachment that is mounted to the other of the maxilla and the mandible. The sliding member is inserted into the sleeve so as to be slidable. A restricting section is formed at the sleeve between two axial direction end portions of the sleeve so as to restrict sliding of the sliding member in both directions along an axial direction of the sliding member.

Abstract: Materials and methods related to blood pump systems are described. These can be used in patients to, for example, monitor arterial pressure, measure blood flow, maintain left ventricular pressure within a particular range, avoid left ventricular collapse, prevent fusion of the aortic valve in a subject having a blood pump, and provide a means to wean a patient from a blood pump.

Abstract: A system is provided that may include a pressure sensor coupled to a radiator. The pressure sensor may determine plural pressure readings of a radiator fluid in the radiator. The system may also include a vehicle controller of a vehicle system that includes one or more processors. The one or more processors may repeatedly determine the plural pressure readings of the radiator fluid, and determine a pressure variance of the plural pressure readings that is repeatedly determined. The one or more processors may further be configured to identify a pressure condition based on the pressure variance that is determined.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatus are provided for monitoring and improving air quality in single- and multi-zone indoor spaces. The system for monitoring and improving air quality includes a built structure that includes an indoor space with environmentally-controllable zones, an environmental control system, sensor arrays positioned within the environmentally-controllable zones, and a control circuit configured to monitor air and remediate air within the indoor space. Multiple zones in the indoor space may be bundled together in multiple remediation bundled-areas for remediation by separate air handling systems and/or processes. Additionally, multiple zones may be delineated within the indoor space for sensor installation processes.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and method for deploying a fiber optic network. Distribution devices are used to index fibers within the system to ensure that live fibers are provided at output locations throughout the system. In an example, fibers can be indexed in multiple directions within the system. In an example, spare ports can be providing in a forward direction and reverse direction ports can also be provided.

Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to delivering nodes to an ocean bottom. A system can include a tether management system (TMS) towed by a vessel that moves on the surface of the ocean in a first direction. An underwater vehicle (UV) can be connected to the TMS and can move in a second direction that is different from the first direction. A thruster can be coupled to the TMS can cause the TMS to move in a third direction that is different from the first direction. A control unit can control the thruster to move the TMS in the third direction based on a cross-line location policy, and cause the UV to deploy nodes to target locations on the ocean bottom.

Abstract: This invention relates to methods for treating dry eye and improving the quality of the meibum composition of inflamed or dysfunctional meibomian glands of a mammal, comprising the steps of administering a composition consisting essentially of an effective amount of omega-3 fatty acids on a daily dosage basis to the mammal having inflamed or dysfunctional meibomian glands, wherein the effective amount of omega-3 fatty acids comprises eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) in an amount greater than 600 mg and in the re-esterified triglyceride form, and wherein the composition administered does not include any additional omega-6 fatty acids beyond the range normally found in the source material of the omega-3 fatty acids. The composition administered may facilitate an increase in levels of anti-inflammatory omega-3's in the meibum composition of the treated meibomian glands of the mammal and a decrease in the levels of inflammatory omega-6's in the meibum composition of the treated meibomian glands.

The first recovery comprises compute the first recovered block based on a respective block in the first set of blocks directly. The second recovery comprises generating a recovered residual based on a computed residual, partitioning the first predicted block and adding the recovered residual to obtain the second recovered block.

Abstract: An interbody spacer for spinal fusion surgery includes first and second opposite side walls that have open-cell metal foam at upper and lower faces, and a three-dimensional lattice disposed between open-cell metal foam at the upper and lower faces. The open-cell metal foam is in communication with the three-dimensional lattice so that bone growth can enter the three-dimensional lattice from the open-cell metal foam. The interbody spacer may be formed by additive manufacturing.

Abstract: An icephobic coating composition forms a coating layer that melts ice and snow upon contract and remains durable after several exposures to winter storms. The icephobic coating composition includes about 2.5% to about 12.5% by weight of latex polymer solids; about 30% to about 70% by weight of an inorganic halide salt; about 15% to about 50% by weight water; and about 1% to about 15% by weight of an organic co-solvent selected from glycerin, glycols, and glycol ethers. An alternative icephobic coating composition includes about 1% to about 20% by weight of a solution polymer instead of a latex polymer, and about 10% to about 40% by weight of a VOC-exempt organic solvent instead of the foregoing water and co-solvent.

Abstract: A scheduling system and method provides a strategy for an interactive and automated summarized source network schedule on a time-scaled graph of a digital canvas that includes a hierarchy of schedule densities generated from source child activities. As the time-scaled graph is time compressed, the source child activities snap into parent activities of a higher hierarchy level such that the source child activities become visually non-present on the digital canvas and the parent activities of the higher hierarchy level becomes visually present on the digital canvas. As the time-scaled graph is time-stretched, the source child activities that are associated with the parent activities of the hierarchy level that is currently visible on the digital canvas snap out of the parent activities and become visually present on the digital canvas and the parent activities become visually non-present.

Abstract: A method including receiving an unknown vector including a data structure populated with unknown features describing a user. The method also includes executing a primary machine learning model (MLM) trained using a prediction data set to predict a score representing a prediction regarding the user. The prediction data set includes the unknown vector stripped of a biased data set including markers set that directly indicate that the user belongs to a cohort against which bias is to be avoided. The method also includes executing a supervisory MLM trained using the prediction data set to predict whether the user belongs to the cohort. The method also includes performing, using an industry tool, a computer-implemented action using the score after executing the primary MLM and the supervisory MLM.
