Abstract: An electronic device that performs image editing is described. During operation, the electronic device may provide, addressed to a computer system, an image. Then, the electronic device may receive, associated with the computer system, values of a set of parameters or settings, where the values of the set of parameters or settings correspond to auto-setting values of the set of parameters or settings and second values of the set of parameters or settings associated with a preset, where the preset is associated a user of the electronic device or another individual than the user. For example, the other individual may be a professional photographer. Next, the electronic device may perform, using image-editing software, the image editing on the image based at least in part on the values of the set of parameters or settings, where the image editing modifies one or more attributes of the image on a pixel basis.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to recommending an alternative off-road track to a driver of a vehicle. In an example method, a processor receives a sensor signal that is generated in response to an operating condition of the vehicle on an off-road track. The operating condition can include, for example, an angular orientation of a chassis portion of the vehicle with respect to a ground surface (yaw, pitch, roll, etc.), steering characteristics, speed characteristics, and/or braking characteristics. The processor evaluates the sensor signal to identify an attribute of the off-road track, such as, for example, a difficulty factor and/or a challenge level. The processor may assign a track score to the off-road track based on the attribute and may provide to the driver, a recommendation for use of another off-road track based on comparing the first track score to a second track score associated with the other off-road track.

Abstract: Systems and methods for automatic calibration of large industrial engines in applications where the quality of the fuel supply is unknown and/or variable over time, particularly engines that drive compressors on a natural gas well site. A combination of throttles and an oxygen sensor including a mass-flow-air throttle and a mass-flow-gas throttle to determine the mass flow of air and mass flow of gas. As a response to exhaust gas oxygen level readings, the mass flow measurements are used to determine real time air-fuel ratios. An algorithm uses the air-fuel ratios as input data, wherein a microcontroller adjusts the throttles to meet engine performance demands. Additionally, using the air-fuel ratio data and suggested engine OEM calibration specifications as block multiplier inputs, particular fuel properties, such as British Thermal Unit (BTU) content, can be accurately interpolated, thereby enabling automatic calibration of the engine .

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a unique new approach to generating operating condition information used for assessing flow assurance and structural integrity. More specifically, apparatuses, systems and methods configured in accordance with embodiments of the present invention enable multiplexed arrangement of optical fiber for sensing of operating conditions within a structural member and utilize fiber optic sensors for enabling monitoring of operating condition information within one or more elongated tubular members. To this end, fiber optic sensors are strategically placed at a plurality of locations along a length of each elongated tubular member thereby allowing critical operating conditions such as strain, temperature and pressure of the elongated tubular member and/or a fluid therein to be monitored. A multiplexing unit is used for allowing selective configuration of individual lengths of optical fiber for creating one or more contiguous optical fiber structures.
