  • Patent number: 11620990
Abstract: A method for optimizing speech recognition includes receiving a first acoustic segment characterizing a hotword detected by a hotword detector in streaming audio captured by a user device, extracting one or more hotword attributes from the first acoustic segment, and adjusting, based on the one or more hotword attributes extracted from the first acoustic segment, one or more speech recognition parameters of an automated speech recognition (ASR) model. After adjusting the speech recognition parameters of the ASR model, the method also includes processing, using the ASR model, a second acoustic segment to generate a speech recognition result. The second acoustic segment characterizes a spoken query/command that follows the first acoustic segment in the streaming audio captured by the user device.

  • Patent number: 11619460
Abstract: An electronic magazine loader for loading cartridges into a magazine includes a lifting wheel, a chute, and a magazine loading portion. The wheel receives an unordered batch of cartridges and singularly lifts and deposits the cartridges into the chute. The chute transfers the cartridges to the magazine loading portion where a setting mechanism inserts the cartridges into the magazine. A mechanism for directionally orienting the cartridges orients all cartridges to a proper directional orientation before reaching the magazine loading portion. The mechanism can be lifting wheel shelf structure or chute structure. The chute having a C-shaped portion above the magazine loading portion that precludes the cartridges from changing their proper directional orientation. The setting mechanism receives cartridges on a rotating wheel with rotating insertion lobes and cartridge receiving voids between adjacent lobes. The cartridges drop into a cartridge receiving void, and are urged into the magazine by a rotating lobe.

  • Patent number: 11618354
Abstract: A seat bottom assembly including a seat bottom frame having a front side and a back side, a seat plate having a front side and a back side, webbing stitches, and tear away stitches. The back side of the seat plate is coupled to the back side of the seat bottom frame. The webbing straps are coupled to and extending between the front side of the seat bottom frame and the front side of the seat plate, and tear away stitches connect two points of the webbing straps along a longitudinal axis so that the webbing straps are partially looped at locations of the respective tear away stitches. The tear away stitches separate and increase a length of the webbing straps in response to experiencing a threshold load in a direction perpendicular to the seat plate.

  • Patent number: 11618708
Abstract: Method of producing glass components and preforms for use in the method. The preform includes a primary rod having a constant outside diameter and a square bottom and a sacrificial tip having a first end attached to the bottom of the primary rod, a second end opposite the first end, and a hollow interior region extending from the first end to the second end. The sacrificial tip is circular in cross section and the first end of the sacrificial tip has an outside diameter equal to the outside diameter of the primary rod. When the preform is heated in a furnace, the sacrificial tip melts and collapses into a drawing bulb which either draws the primary rod directly into the glass fiber or results in a tapered (i.e. tipped) preform for subsequent fiber draw. Material waste as well as the drip time is reduced and the cladding-to-core ratio, crucial for waveguide properties, is maintained for the whole preform compared to a square cut preform without the sacrificial tip.

  • Patent number: 11622439
Abstract: An array of non-thermal plasma emitters is controlled to emit plasma based on application of an electric current at desired frequencies and a controlled power level. A power supply for an array controller includes a transformer that operates at the resonant frequency of the combined capacitance of the array and the cable connecting the array to the power supply. The power into the array is monitored by the controller and can be adjusted by the user. The controller monitors reflected power characteristics, such as harmonics of the alternating current, to determine initiation voltage of the plasma and/or resonant frequency plasma emitters. The array of non-thermal plasma emitters may be used in therapeutic, diagnostic, and/or medical sanitization applications, including where a non-thermal plasma treatment regimen is prescribed.

  • Patent number: 11618533
Abstract: Catamaran boat hulls are described having sponsons, an underside tunnel surface between sponsons, two longitudinal steps disposed across each sponson's keel, and two transverse steps disposed lengthwise on opposing sides of each sponson's keel. The longitudinal steps for a sponson have a profile with a curved longitudinal step portion on the opposing outer edges with an outer edge portion of that curved longitudinal step portion being further away from the sponson's aft section, and an inward step edge offset where each of the two longitudinal steps meets a hull side of the sponson. The transverse steps help define variable deadrise inner lifting pad running portion with a lower deadrise aft transitioning to a higher deadrise forward. Spray rails protruding off the aft end of an underside wave splitter and away from the boat hull's centerline help manage undesired spray and use of radiused chines enhances lift and landing performance.

  • Patent number: 11620804
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatus, and computer-readable media for data band selection using machine learning. In some implementations, image data comprising information for each of multiple wavelength bands is obtained. A multi-layer neural network is trained using the image data to perform one or more classification or regression tasks. A proper subset of the wavelength bands is selected based on parameters of a layer of the trained multi-layer neural network, where the parameters were determined through training of the multi-layer neural network using the image data. Output is provided indicating that the selected wavelength bands are selected for the one or more classification or regression tasks.
