Abstract: A dynamic control valve assembly for use in filling a liquid carbon dioxide storage and gas delivery system is provided, the assembly comprising: a valve body; an end nut with an inlet port for receiving liquid carbon dioxide; a chamber; an inlet cavity; a liquid port; a gas port; and a dynamic compound valve stem assembly for blocking the gas port while liquid carbon dioxide is delivered through the inlet port and allowing the liquid carbon dioxide to flow through the liquid port for storage in a liquid cylinder, and open the gas port and block the inlet port in order to allow carbon dioxide gasses from boiling liquid carbon dioxide within the liquid cylinder to pass through the gas port for storage in a gas cylinder until system pressure and temperature equilibrium is reached. The dynamic compound valve stem assembly comprises: a stem body having an inlet port poppet and a gas port poppet; an inlet cavity collar; and in some embodiments a collar biasing spring.

Abstract: An aerosol-generating system includes a reservoir containing an aerosol-forming substrate. The system also includes first and second heating elements and first and second liquid transfer elements. The first and second heating elements are spaced apart from the reservoir. The first and second liquid transfer elements are configured to deliver aerosol-forming substrate from the reservoir to the heating elements. The first liquid transfer element has first and second end portions and a portion between the first and second end portions at the first heating element. The second liquid transfer element has first and second end portions and a portion between the first and second end portions at the second heating element. The portion of the first liquid transfer element at the first heating element may extend in a first direction. The portion of the second liquid transfer element at the second heating element may extend in a second direction.

Abstract: Techniques for Precision-Preserving Format-Preserving Encryption (PPFPE) to protect numeric values and strings with leading/trailing and special characters, while preserving their precision, both as a protected value (e.g., ciphertext) and when decrypted are provided. In one aspect, a plaintext string is parsed to detect a first and last sentinel characters, wherein any character(s) preceding the first sentinel character comprises a leading character(s) and any character(s) following the last sentinel character comprises a trailing character(s). Any leading character(s) preceding the first sentinel character and/or any trailing character(s) following the last sentinel character are passed through. A ciphertext string is generated by encrypting the first and last sentinel character using one or more subsets of a set of encryption characters; and encrypting the portion of the plaintext string between the first and last sentinel character using the set of encryption characters.

Abstract: Methods and systems related to distributing payment keys to multiple discrete devices in a point of sale (POS) system are disclosed. One method includes storing a payment key on a first discrete device for a POS system and a public key certificate on a second discrete device for the POS system. The method also includes communicatively connecting the first discrete device with the second discrete device using a wire, transmitting the public key certificate from the second discrete device to the first discrete device using the wire, and verifying the public key certificate on the first discrete device. The method also includes finalizing a secure connection between the first discrete device and the second discrete device over the wire using a transport layer secure (TLS) protocol after the public key certificate is verified.

Abstract: A method includes transmitting, by a plurality of drive sense circuits of an interactive display device, a plurality of signals on a plurality of electrodes of the interactive display device. A writing passive device is identified based on a first plurality of changes detected in the electrical characteristics of the set of electrodes. Written user notion data is determined based on detecting movement of the writing passive device in relation to the interactive display device, and the written user notation data is displayed. An erasing passive device is identified based on a second plurality of changes detected in the electrical characteristics of the set of electrodes. Erased portions of the written user notation data is determined based on detecting movement of the erasing passive device in relation to the interactive display device, and the updated written user notation data is displayed based on no longer displaying the erased portions.

Abstract: A natural antioxidant for pet food and/or pet food ingredients to extend the shelf life of the pet food and/or pet food ingredients. The natural antioxidant is a natural smoke antioxidant obtained from fractions of natural liquid smoke. A pet food or pet food ingredient that contains a phenolic fraction of a liquid natural smoke flavor (or “the natural smoke extract”). The phenolic fraction exhibits an antioxidant effect on the pet food or the pet food ingredient, such as delayed oxidation or hydrolysis of fats and oils, whereas fats include animal fat and oils include vegetable oils; or stated differently, the delayed rancidification of the pet food or pet food ingredient.

Abstract: The system and method for actuator monitoring of an electric aircraft is illustrated. The system includes a plurality of flight components, a computing device attached to each rotor component, and a flight controller. The plurality of flight components are coupled to the electric aircraft. A computing device is communicatively coupled to each rotor component and is configured to detect an input health datum associated with each rotor component of the plurality of flight components and transmit the input health datum to a flight controller. The flight controller is communicatively connected to the computing devices and is configured to receive the health datum from the computing devices, generate an updated health datum as a function of the input health datum, and transmit the updated health datum to each rotor component of the plurality of flight components.

Abstract: A process for oxidative dehydrogenation of a hydrocarbon to produce an olefin and water may include contacting, in a fluidized bed, the hydrocarbon with a particulate material, which may include at least one oxygen transfer agent (OTA) and at least one fluidization enhancing additive. During at least a portion of contacting the hydrocarbon with the particulate material, the fluidized bed may be at a temperature at or above a melting point of one or more materials of the oxygen transfer agent. Further, during at least a portion of contacting the hydrocarbon with the particulate material, a surface of at least a portion of the OTA may comprise a molten layer. The fluidization enhancing additive may not undergo reduction in the fluidized bed during contacting the hydrocarbon with the particulate material and may be present in an amount that maintains sufficient fluidization of the particulate material.

The reservoir contains a therapeutic preparation. The inflation mechanism is structured to inflate the balloon, and upon inflation, the injection needle is structured to enter the reservoir. A method includes making an autoinjector available to a subject with instructions to ingest the autoinjector. The autoinjector is structured to inject a therapeutic preparation into a wall of a gastrointestinal tract of the subject responsive to ingestion of the autoinjector. The autoinjector includes an injection needle disposed in a needle compartment attached to a reservoir. The injection needle is initially separated from the reservoir, and is structured to enter the reservoir for delivery of the fluid therapeutic preparation through the needle into the wall.

The method includes: executing the web application, the web application configured to display a web page element; receiving, by a library component of the web application, a request from the web application to retrieve a list of one or more application component definitions loadable by the web application; retrieving, by the library component, the list of one or more application component definitions from a manifest; receiving a request to load an application component of the one or more application components; binding, by the library component, attributes and events for each of the one or more application components from the web application; appending the application component into the web page element; and rendering the application component and the web page element using the web browser so that the application component is displayed in the web browser.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a first body portion piece with a first port, and a second body portion piece removably coupled to the first body portion piece and having a second port. The first body portion piece may be at least partially filled with a polymer material. The golf club head may also include a mass portion having a fastening portion. The first and second ports are configured to be axially aligned. The second port is configured to receive the mass portion to close the second port, and the fastening portion of the mass portion is configured to engage the first port to fasten the second body portion piece to the first body portion piece. Abstract: Techniques for fingerprinting and aggregating a virtual private cloud (VPC) flow log stream are provided. Each VPC flow log event in the VPC flow log is first determined to be a request event or a response event. A fingerprint is then generated for each VPC flow log event. The fingerprint for a VPC flow log event is generated based on the determination whether the VPC flow log event is a request event or a response event and by concatenating and encoding data contained in a set of data fields corresponding to the VPC flow log event. Based on the fingerprint generated for each VPC flow log event, related events can be detected and aggregated to form an aggregated event. Information stored with each aggregated event can then be used to better monitor the VPC.

Abstract: For a non-volatile memory that uses hard bit and soft bit data in error correction operations, to reduce the amount of soft bit data that needs to be transferred from a memory to the controller and improve memory system performance, the soft bit data can be compressed before transfer. After the soft bit data is read and stored into the internal data latches associated with the sense amplifiers, it is compressed within these internal data latches. The compressed soft bit data can then be transferred to the transfer data latches of a cache buffer, where the compressed soft bit data can be consolidated and transferred out over an input-output interface. Within the input-output interface, the compressed data can be reshuffled to put into logical user data order if needed.

Abstract: A force detection system includes first and second sets of pressure sensors, memory, and a processing module. The first set of pressure sensors are in an insole of a shoe and the second set of pressure sensors are in an outsole of a shoe. The processing module receives first data regarding the first set of pressure sensors and generates a first digital representation of the first data. The processing module also receives second data regarding the second set of pressure sensors and generates a second digital representation of the second data. The processing module also writes the first and second digital representations to the memory.
