Abstract: One embodiment is directed to a system comprising a distributed unit (DU) and a plurality of remote units (RUs) to wirelessly transmit and receive radio frequency signals to and from the user equipment using a wireless interface. The DU and RUs are communicatively coupled to each other over a fronthaul and are configured to communicate over the fronthaul using an O-RAN fronthaul interface. The DU and RUs are configured to communicate O-RAN control-plane and user-plane messages that include a new O-RAN section extension for use in communicating different section data to different RUs. Other embodiments are disclosed.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, from a primary pressure sensor, a pressure measurement indicative of a pressure of a patient cavity and controlling, by an insufflator, a supply of the insufflation fluid to the patient cavity based on the pressure measurement from the primary pressure sensor. The method further includes delivering, by a trocar, the supplied insufflation fluid to the patient cavity via an access port, wherein: the access port comprises a seal and a retractor; and the access port facilitates access therethrough to the patient cavity.

Abstract: An optical communications network comprises optical data links interconnected by add-drop nodes, the optical data links comprising data channels. The data channels are allocated into equal-sized bins. In response to a first data channel request between a given source-destination pair, one of the equal-sized bins is assigned to the data channel request. In response to requests for additional bandwidth for the same source-destination data channel request, unused channels within the assigned equal-sized bin are allocated to the data channel request. In response to subsequent data channel requests between different source-destination pairs, additional unallocated equal-sized bins are assigned to the subsequent data channel requests. In response to subsequent data channel requests when resource sharing for one equal-sized bin, data channels in the last equal-sized bin are assigned using the reverse channel assignment process. Reverse channel assignment can also be used for other bins as an option.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a cooling system includes a primary condenser, a primary supply line and a primary return line that couples the primary condenser to a cold plate that is arranged to be used for electronics cooling to create a primary heat-transfer loop in which the condenser supplies liquid coolant to the cold plate and receives vapor produced by the cold plate, a secondary condenser, a secondary supply line that couples the secondary condenser to the primary supply line, a secondary return line that couples the secondary condenser to the primary return line, and a primary valve that is coupled to the secondary return line, where, in response to vapor pressure exceeding a pressure threshold, the valve at least partially opens to create a secondary heat-transfer loop in which the secondary condenser condense vapor back into liquid coolant that is supplied to the primary supply line.

Abstract: A method for video decoding includes decoding prediction information of a current block, the prediction information being indicative of a symmetric motion vector difference mode for bi-prediction from a pair of forward and backward reference pictures. The method also includes assigning, to a reference picture marked as a long term reference picture (LTRP), a calculated picture order count with a default POC distance to the current picture, and excluding a reference picture from being in the pair of forward and backward reference pictures without a check based on a picture order count (POC) of the reference picture. The method further includes determining a first reference block for the current block in the forward reference picture and a second reference block for the current block in the backward reference picture, and reconstructing at least a sample of the current block according to the first reference block and the second reference block.

Abstract: Systems and methods related to resource distribution for a fleet of machines are disclosed. A system may include a fleet of machines each having an associated resource capacity and a resource requirement to perform a task. The system may further include a controller having a resource requirement circuit to determine an aggregated amount of the resource requirement and an aggregated amount of the resource capacity. A resource distribution circuit may adaptively improve, in response to an aggregated amount of the resource capacity, an aggregated resource delivery of the resource.

Abstract: Apparatuses, computer readable medium, and methods are disclosed for verifying skills of members of an online connection network. The apparatus, computer readable medium, and methods may include a method including responding to a first member of the online connection network indicating a skill possessed by the first member by selecting a skill verification user interface (UI) to present to a second member of the online connection network where the first member and the second member are connected via the online connection network. The method may further include presenting the skill verification UI to the second member, where the skill verification UI presents an indication of the first member, an indication of the skill, and a query regarding a competence level of the skill possessed by the first member. The method may further include receiving a response to the query and determining a skill validation value of the skill for the first member based on the response and a machine learning model.

The electronic device can include a color filter adjacent to the second image sensor such that the field of view is viewable by the second image sensor through the color filter. The first image can have a first pixel resolution. The second image can have a second pixel resolution. The electronic device can include a controller configured to determine a third image based on luminance content of the first image and color content of the second image. The third image can have a third pixel resolution indicative of a spatial resolution of the first image and a spectral resolution of the second image.

Abstract: The present invention provides a suturing device to minimize interference and obstructions during intricate surgeries. The curled suture device is significantly shorter than traditional suturing kits by featuring a needle attached to a specially manufactured thread incorporating a stopping mechanism preceding an angular, semi-rigid portion of thread followed by a curled portion of thread arranged in a corkscrew configuration. The stopping mechanism halts the movement of the thread as the needle and thread intermediate the needle and stopping mechanism is pulled through the suture point, securing the remainder of the thread for access. The semi-rigid portion of thread is thereby utilized in conjunction with its curled portion of thread, allowing for the user's unabated access to the corkscrew configuration to form a ready-made knot, minimizing interference and obstruction during surgery. The thread may be manufactured to form an additional semi-rigid and curled portions of thread upon creation of a knot.

Abstract: Systems are provided for assisting in towing a trailer by a lead vehicle. A wheeled tow assist unit couples between the lead vehicle and the trailer. A drive unit onboard the tow assist unit drives the wheels in response to a force between the trailer and the tow assist unit. The tow assist unit bears at least a portion of the force required to tow the trailer.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods that provide both an image of a scene and depth information for the scene. An example system includes at least one time-of-flight (ToF) sensor and an imaging sensor. The ToF sensor and the imaging sensor are configured to receive light from a scene. The system also includes at least one light source and a controller that carries out operations. The operations include causing the at least one light source to illuminate at least a portion of the scene with illumination light according to an illumination schedule. The operations also include causing the at least one ToF sensor to provide information indicative of a depth map of the scene based on the illumination light. The operations additionally include causing the imaging sensor to provide information indicative of an image of the scene based on the illumination light.

Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically determining item relevancy based on textual information. In some examples, a computing device receives a search query, and a plurality of items corresponding to the search query. The computing device may identify one or more features of the search query. The computing device may generate relevancy values for each of the items based on the features of the search query, and features of each of the plurality of items. For example, the computing device may generate, for each of the items, a plurality of relevance values, each relevance value generated based on a feature of the search query and corresponding features of the item. The computing device may transmit the generated relevancy values for the plurality of items. In some examples, the computing device may rank the plurality of items based on the generated relevancy values.

Abstract: Edge node networks can be utilized to facilitate predictive access to content for a wide variety of applications. For example, predictive data can be generated based on historical patterns, audio data, calendar invites, etc. The predictive data can include predicted locations, persons present based on usage of their mobile device, edge node and access point usage, etc. The predicted data can be used to facilitate more efficient access to content by proactively sending mobile application and/or content usage data to edge node equipment that is predicted to be used in accordance with a predicted a predicted event. Furthermore, the predictive analysis can be used to modify mobile screens for quicker access to content and/or mobile applications.

Abstract: This present application pertains to a toss game consisting of at least two angled boards with a geometrically shaped cut out for the tossed item to fall through. It also consists of a mechanism that will move the geometrically shaped cut out, or opening, in an oscillating geometric motion, thus increasing the skill required to play said toss game.

Abstract: The present application relates to a method and apparatus for generating a graphical user interface indicative of a vehicle underbody view including a LIDAR operative to generate a depth map of an off-road surface, a camera for capturing an image of the off-road surface, a chassis sensor operative to detect an orientation of a host vehicle, a processor operative to generate an augmented image in response to the depth map, the image and the orientation, wherein the augmented image depicts an underbody view of the host vehicle and a graphic representative of a host vehicle suspension system, and a display operative to display the augmented image to a host vehicle operator. A static and dynamic model of the vehicle underbody is compared vs the 3-D terrain model to identify contact points between the underbody and terrain are highlighted.

Abstract: A method by a controller of a cooling system includes calculating a difference between a first temperature of ambient air and a second temperature of pre-cooled air. The pre-cooled air is ambient air that has been cooled by water from a water distribution system before it enters one or more condenser coils. The method further includes determining that the difference between the first and second temperatures is less than or equal to a predetermined temperature difference, and in response, determining that the first temperature is greater than or equal to a minimum temperature. The method further includes, if the first temperature is greater than or equal to the minimum temperature, instructing the water distribution system to distribute the water to pre-cool the ambient air for a predetermined length of time and to disable the distribution of the water after the predetermined amount of time has elapsed.
