Abstract: Systems and methods for adaptively adjusting a slew rate of a dejitter buffer in a remote device in a distributed access architecture. The slew rate may be adjusted based on measurements of a fullness state of a buffer made over time. The measurements may be used to calculate a frequency offset value between the rate at which data leaves the buffer relative to the rate at which data enters the buffer and/or used to calculate a current working depth of the buffer. The adaptive slew rate adjustments may be based on the frequency offset value and/or the current working depth.

Abstract: A system of interlocks for controlling flow of low temperature process streams in a manufacturing process through a cold box to equipment or piping not specified for such temperatures by opening and closing valves and starting and stopping pumps. At least one interlock affects streams heated in the cold box. At least one interlock affects the streams cooled in the cold box. The interlocks are activated by temperatures of process lines to prevent exposure of equipment and piping to low temperatures while preventing the shutdown of the cold box. An override controller including a predictive failure capability is also provided.

Abstract: System and method for determining distance in navigation of an electric aircraft is illustrated. The system and method comprise a sensor and a computing device. The sensor is configured to detect a surface and transmit at least a first signal and a first frequency and at least a second signal at a second frequency to a computing device, wherein the first signal and the second signal comprise a corresponding distance. The computing device is configured to receive a returned signal from the sensor, wherein the returned signal comprises an intermodulation product associated to the first signal and the second signal, detect an amplitude of the returned signal as a function of the frequency, identify a distance datum as a function of the amplitude and an amplitude threshold, determine an aircraft adjustment as a function of the distance datum, and transmit the distance datum and aircraft adjustment to a remote device.

Abstract: Disclosed are formulations and procedures to improve the accuracy of nonanimal tests. Disclosed procedures involve both the direct application of the substance to be tested to the excised eye or other suitable test matrix, such as a differentiated tissue, and the application of an aqueous layer to the apical surface and then the addition of the substance to be tested as an overlay to the aqueous layer for a period of time so as to allow metabolism of the substance to be tested by the eye or test matrix, but not so long as to result in nonirritant or nontoxic test substance resulting in a FP result.

Abstract: Open top gondola railcars and closure assemblies for cleanout openings of those railcars are disclosed. In some embodiments, the closure assembly includes a closure member sized to be received in a cleanout opening and to span a substantial portion of the cleanout opening to define at least one gap between a closure perimeter and a floor perimeter. The closure assembly additionally includes a sealing member fixedly attached to, or formed with, the closure member. The sealing member spans between the floor perimeter and the closure perimeter to cover the at least one gap. The closure assembly further includes a tethering member having opposed first and second end portions. The first end portion is fixedly attached to the closure member and the second end portion is attached to one of the floor or a cross bearer of the open top gondola railcar.

Abstract: In aspects of object tracking based on UWB tags, a system includes ultra-wideband (UWB) tags located for association with respective objects in an environment, where each UWB tag is identified with a digital label indicative of the association with one or more of the objects. A tracking service is implemented to receive initial location data for the objects from each of the UWB tags that are associated with the objects, and generate an object identity database in which each of the objects are identified by their respective initial location data. The tracking service can monitor for movement of an object that is identified by the initial location data based on subsequent positioning data associated with the object. The movement of an object is monitored for an unauthorized relocation of the object, for a cluster of multiple objects moving together, and/or for an abnormal proximity of multiple objects in the environment.

Abstract: A photo design smart assistant system for reducing similar photos for display and product design includes a similarity distance computation module that can calculate hash values of images and to calculate similarity distances between the images using at least the hash values, a burst grouping module that can automatically group the images into a burst based at least in part on the similarity distances of the images, wherein at least one image is automatically selected from the burst of images, an intelligent design creation engine that can automatically create a photo product design using the selected image from the burst, and a printing and finishing facility that can automatically make a physical photo product based on the photo product design.

Abstract: A method includes receiving, by a marketplace server, an acquisition request regarding an exchange item from a computing device, where the exchange item has exchange item information that include a set of use rules that govern utilization of the exchange item. The method further includes obtaining, by the marketplace server, dynamic external factors for the request to acquire the exchange item and determining variable contract function information based on the external factors in accordance with a smart contract approach. The method further includes sending an acquisition response to the computing device that includes the variable contract function information and the exchange item information.

Abstract: Techniques to improve detection and security of images, including formation and detection of matrix-based images. Some techniques include logic to process image data, generate one or more colorspaces associated with that data, and perform colorspace conversions based on the generated colorspace. The logic may be further configured to generate an image based on the colorspace conversions, including but not limited to a matrix bar code. The logic may be further configured to apply one or both of an ultraviolet layer and an infrared layer to the image, e.g. matrix barcode, generated from the colorspace conversion(s). Abstract: A system for flight control for managing actuators for an electric aircraft is provided. The system includes a controller, wherein the controller is designed and configured to receive a sensor datum from at least a sensor, generate an actuator performance model as a function of the sensor datum, identify a defunct actuator of the electric aircraft as a function of the sensor datum and the actuator performance model, generate an actuator allocation command datum as a function of at least the actuator performance model and at least the identification of the defunct actuator, and perform a torque allocation as a function of the actuator allocation command datum.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for adding supervised stops to an autonomous vehicle route. In particular, systems and methods are provided for allowing a primary passenger, who is accompanied by one or more other passengers, to pause a ride, exit the vehicle, and request supervision of the other passengers while the primary passenger is away from the vehicle. Supervision of the other passengers can include monitoring vehicle temperature, making sure the other passengers remain safely inside the vehicle, preventing strangers from accessing the vehicle, providing any requested feedback regarding the other passengers to the primary passenger, and enabling communication between the first passenger and the other passengers.

Abstract: A method and system for scanning claims data, the method comprising receiving, by a computing system, contract details associated with claims, receiving, by the computer system, prescription transactions data associated with the claims, parsing, by the computer system, the transactions data into column values, and executing, by the computer system, analytics on the parsed transactions. The analytics include comparing the parsed transactions against the contract details for accurate pricing, fees, and accepted treatment protocols concerning dose and quantity, comparing the parsed transactions with independent pricing data that is based on third-party pricing data and drug information, identifying material errors in the parsed transactions, determining withholdings from payment of the claims for a portion above a tolerance level based on the identified material errors. Abstract: An article with self-disinfecting and anti-fog properties. In embodiments, the article is a face shield having a transparent substrate configured to extend facing at least a portion of a face of a wearer, and has a first surface adapted to be disposed facing the face of the wearer and second surface disposed opposite to the first surface. The face panel is protected by a sulfonated polymeric layer on the second surface, for killing at least 95% microbes within 30 minutes of contact. The sulfonated polymeric is sufficiently or selectively sulfonated to contain from 10-100 mol % sulfonic acid or sulfonate salt functional groups based on the number of monomer units, for killing at least 99% of microbes within 5 minutes of coming into contact with the face panel. The sulfonated polymeric layer has a Tfog of >15 minutes.

Abstract: For a non-volatile memory that uses hard bit and a soft bit data in error correction operations, architectures are introduced for the compression of the soft bit data to reduce the amount of data transferred over the memory's input-output interface. For a memory device with multiple planes of memory cells, the internal global data bus is segmented and a data compression circuit associated with each segment. This allows soft bit data from a cache buffer of a plane using one segment to transfer data between the cache buffer and the associated compression circuit concurrently with transferring data from a cache buffer of another plane using another segment, either for compression or transfer to the input-output interface.
