Abstract: Systems including a telemetry service, a graph service coupled to transform outputs of the telemetry service into path routes through an overlay network, a billboard service configured to transform the path routes into border gateway protocol (BGP) announcements and point-of-presence (POP) peering decisions, multiple agent components, and multiple routing daemons, each disposed on a different POP of the overlay network along with a corresponding one of the agent components. The daemons receive BGP announcements and peering decisions from the billboard service via the corresponding agent component and transform the BGP announcements and peering decisions into routing tables for the POPs.

Abstract: A dual-phase refrigeration system for chilled storage containers (CSC) aboard boats maintains cold temperatures in the CSC by chilling the airspace in the upper portion of the CSC. A cooling liquid is circulated through coils installed on an interior sidewall about an upper margin of the CSC. The cooling liquid chills the air in the upper portion of the CSC which creates a thermodynamic airflow within the CSC which aids in cooling. The temperature of the cooling liquid is maintained by a heat exchange with a Non-Ozone Depleting Hydrofluorocarbon (NODHFC) refrigerant which, in turn, is cooled by a heat exchange with circulating water sourced from the body of water supporting the boat. If ice is added to the CSC, the cooling liquid in the coils reduces the air temperature.

Abstract: Examples are provided relating to recovering depth data from noisy phase data of low-signal pixels. One example provides a computing system, comprising a logic machine, and a storage machine holding instructions executable by the logic machine to process depth data by obtaining depth image data and active brightness image data for a plurality of pixels, the depth image data comprising phase data for a plurality of frequencies, and identifying low-signal pixels based at least on the active brightness image data. The instructions are further executable to apply a denoising filter to phase data of the low-signal pixels to obtain denoised phase data and not applying the denoising filter to phase data of other pixels. The instructions are further executable to, after applying the denoising filter, perform phase unwrapping on the phase data for the plurality of frequencies to obtain a depth image, and output the depth image.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are battery docks for receiving a battery, and methods for switching off an electrical load to a battery or to the battery dock to prevent overheating. A battery dock may comprise a battery connection contact to attach to a battery, and a circuit sensor electrically coupled to the battery connection contact for sensing the temperature of the battery dock and at the battery connection contact. The circuit sensor can be configured to switch off an electrical load or charging current once a threshold temperature has been reached to prevent overheating. In operation, the temperature of the battery dock, such as at the battery connection contact, may be sensed or monitored and electrical current may be prevented from passing to/from the battery by switching off the battery dock if the sensed temperature exceeds a predetermined threshold temperature.

Abstract: A rotor for use in a centrifuge, and a method for balancing the rotor. The rotor includes a plurality of apertures arranged circumferentially around the rotor's axis of rotation, each configured to selectively receive a weight. A critical speed is determined for the rotor, and an imbalance determined for the rotor at a test speed below the critical speed. A trial weight is installed in a reference aperture, and another imbalance determined at the test speed. The trial weight is repeatedly moved to another aperture angularly displaced from the previous aperture, and the imbalance measured at the test speed until a predetermined number of imbalance measurements have been obtained. A target mass and location for balancing the rotor is determined from the imbalance measurements, and balancing weights installed in apertures based on the target mass and location. The balancing process may be repeated for multiple critical frequencies.
