Publication number: 20230073940Abstract: Examples disclosed herein may generate a refined and denoised body pose data from a video feed of a sporting event. Tracking data containing player locations may be used to determine correspondence between a location and a body pose. For example, body pose with middle of key footpoints with shortest distance from the location may be selected as a likely body pose for the location. The body pose data may be refined to estimate the length of missing limbs or limbs with unusual length ratios. The body pose data may further be filtered to filter out unwanted body poses such as body poses of spectators or noisy body poses. The refined and filtered body pose data may be used for other downstream processing such as projecting the body poses to a three dimensional play surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 9, 2022Publication date: March 9, 2023Applicant: STATS LLCInventors: Akila Pemasiri, Patrick Joseph Lucey

Publication number: 20230076488Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for scheduling a virtual machine (VM) to host a workload in a cloud system. In particular, the disclosed technology schedules an evicted VM for redeploying an interruptible workload. The scheduling is based on capacity prediction and inference data associated with a type of the evicted VM. Capacity signal predictor generates training data for training a machine learning model using capacity signal history data of the cloud system. The machine-learning model, once trained, predicts capacity including a rate of evictions for the types of the evicted VM. The predicted data is based on at least the current status of available computing resources. Upon receiving a notice associated with a workload interruption, the intelligent scheduler prioritizes the evicted VM for scheduling and determines whether to defer redeploying the evicted VM based on the rate of eviction for the type of the evicted VM.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 3, 2021Publication date: March 9, 2023Applicant: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Inigo GOIRI PRESA, Rakesh AKKERA, Eli CORTEZ CUSTODIO VILARINHO, Felipe VIEIRA FRUJERI, Yunus MOHAMMED, Thomas MOSCIBRODA, Gurpreet VIRDI, Sandeep Kumta VISHNU, Yandan WANG

Publication number: 20230075493Abstract: The technology provides a sign detection and classification methodology. A unified pipeline approach incorporates generic sign detection with a robust parallel classification strategy. Sensor information such as camera imagery and lidar depth, intensity and height (elevation) information are applied to a sign detector module. This enables the system to detect the presence of a sign in a vehicle's externa environment. A modular classification approach is applied to the detected sign. This includes selective application of one or more trained machine learning classifiers, as well as a text and symbol detector. Annotations help to tie the classification information together and to address any conflicts with different the outputs from different classifiers.
