Abstract: A classifier may be trained with less than all datasets manually annotated with labels. A small subset of verbatims may be manually labeled with topic labels as seeds. Data augmentations can be used to acquire seed verbatim sets for known topics and to assign temporary pseudo labels to the rest of the verbatims based on their vector space proximity to the labeled seed verbatims. The training may involve classification epochs during which embeddings are updated with the assumption that the pseudo labels are ground-truth labels. The training may also involve labeling epochs during which the updated embeddings are used to update the vectors corresponding to the verbatims, and pseudo labels are updated based on updated vector coordinates in the vector space. As the training process progresses through the epochs, the embeddings will converge.

Abstract: A plurality of content streams each including audio, video, or audio-video content may be transmitted to a plurality of premises. In addition, one or more command streams may be transmitted over a distribution network. Premises automation commands may then be sent to one or more systems based on a user selection associated with a corresponding command stream. Abstract: Systems and methods for using machine learning to extract data from electronic communications are disclosed. According to certain aspects, a machine learning model is trained on a set of tasks using a set of training data. An electronic communication indicating a purchase of a product and/or service is processed to generate augmented text that is input into the machine learning model. After analyzing the augmented text, the machine learning model outputs a set of predicted values for a set of defined categories, which an entity may use for various purposes such as to apply digital rewards to user accounts.

Abstract: A method for controlling a satellite using magnetics only, and a control system for implementing the method. The method involves assessing a current attitude of a satellite at a current time and location using magnetometry; setting a desired attitude for the satellite at a future time in a future location; developing a set of waypoints that provide the attitude of the satellite at plural locations between the current location and the future location; and actuating a plurality of magnetorquers to induce torques that achieve a small as possible difference between the attitude of the satellite between each waypoint and achieving the desired attitude at the future location, the magnetorquers being the sole means of inducing rotation of the satellite to attain the desired attitude.

Abstract: Systems and methods for implementing two-way tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) learning and authenticated pairing. A random value may be used to determine a test value and a pairing PIN by use of a HMAC (Hash-based Message Authentication Code) function and a pre-shared key that is accessible to a TPMS sensor and a vehicle (e.g., controller system thereof). The random value and test value may be broadcasted by the TPMS sensor and received by the vehicle. The vehicle may calculate the pairing PIN using the random value and the pre-shared key.

Abstract: The invention relates to gene expression regulatory sequences, specifically introns that act as enhancers of gene expression, the promoter and terminator sequences endogenously associated with these introns. Presence of these intronic enhancer sequences in proximity to promoter sequences leads to enhancement of gene expression. Methods of finding such new intronic enhancer sequences and using them to generate transgenic plants are also described.

Abstract: A method and system performed by a processor includes receiving from a verified user, an authentication answer for identity-authentication questions. An authentication answer embedding vector in a textual embedding space is generated by inputting each authentication answer into an embedding engine and stored. An unverified-user authentication answer is received, in response to posing to the unverified user, a specific identity-authentication question of the verified user. An unverified-user authentication answer embedding vector is generated using the embedding engine. An embedding space distance is computed between the unverified-user authentication answer embedding vector and the authentication answer embedding vector for the specific identity-authentication question of the verified user posed to the unverified user. A similarity score based on the embedding space distance is computed.
