  • Patent number: 11593113
Abstract: Unaligned atomic memory operations on a processor using a load-store instruction set architecture (ISA) that requires aligned accesses are performed by widening the memory access to an aligned address by the next larger power of two (e.g., 4-byte access is widened to 8 bytes, and 8-byte access is widened to 16 bytes). Data processing operations supported by the load-store ISA including shift, rotate, and bitfield manipulation are utilized to modify only the bytes in the original unaligned address so that the atomic memory operations are aligned to the widened access address. The aligned atomic memory operations using the widened accesses avoid the faulting exceptions associated with unaligned access for most 4-byte and 8-byte accesses. Exception handling is performed in cases in which memory access spans a 16-byte boundary.

  • Patent number: 11594875
Abstract: A negative sequence voltage (NSV) protection system is provided that can be added to existing equipment or included as a standalone device for detecting GFOV in electrical configurations connecting distributed energy resources to utility grids. The NSV protection system can be implemented at the low side of a distribution transformer of a typical distribution circuit or in a control system of inverter-based energy resources connected to a distribution feeder. The NSV protection system includes a passive monitoring system that outputs a trip signal when a potential GFOV is detected to occur. • Patent number: 11590616
Abstract: An underactuated joining system for a moving assembly line includes a robot with actuated joints, an articulated compliance mechanism, and a controller. An end-effector of the mechanism is connected to linkages and to a joining tool, unactuated joints interconnect the linkages, and position sensors measure joint positions of the unactuated joints. In response to the joint positions, a controller regulates a position of the actuated joints to cause the compliance mechanism to compliantly follow the assembly line. This occurs while the tool remains engaged with a workpiece being transported along the assembly line. A method includes engaging the tool with the workpiece as the workpiece is transported by the assembly line, measuring joint positions of the unactuated joints using position sensors, and controlling a position of the active joints to cause the compliance mechanism to compliantly follow the workpiece along the assembly line.

  • Patent number: 11589963
Abstract: Methods for generating and providing a full arch prosthesis from a pre-existing prosthesis are presented, starting from the pre-existing prosthesis. This prosthesis is removed from the mouth, scanned, and replaced within the mouth. An intermediate prosthesis is generated from the scan, and modified to match a final physiological target configuration of the patient's mouth. The intermediate prosthesis is used to generate a final virtual representation of the target configuration, from which final virtual representation the final working prosthesis is fabricated. The intermediate prosthesis is mounted in the patient's mouth in sections, for desirable repositioning, sections then being bonded together. Copings can be digitally subtracted to enable press fit new copings to be installed. Alternatively, the intermediate prosthesis can include integrated false copings. The intermediate prosthesis is scanned to generate a final digital model or virtual representation of the desired final prosthesis.
