Abstract: A tailgate assembly for a vehicle includes, among other things, a tailgate configured to pivot relative to a vehicle body between a closed position, a fully open position, and a secondary position that is between the closed position and the fully open position. The assembly further includes a cable device having a tailgate connector and a vehicle connector. The tailgate connector is coupled to the tailgate. The vehicle connector couples to a sidewall of the vehicle in first position to support the tailgate in the fully open position. The vehicle connector couples to the sidewall of the vehicle in a second position to support the tailgate in a secondary position. The first position is vertically below the second position. The assembly still further includes a bracket that blocks removal of the tailgate from the vehicle body when the tailgate is in the fully open position and when the tailgate is in the secondary position.

Abstract: A distracted driving analysis system for identifying distracted driving events is provided. The system includes a processor in communication with a memory device programmed to: (i) receive driving event records including phone usage by a user that occurred within a time period of a driving event, (ii) divide the driving event records into at least two clusters based at least in part upon common features of one or more driving event records of the plurality of driving event records by processing the driving event records using an unsupervised machine learning algorithm, (iii) generate a trained model based at least in part upon the at least two clusters including cluster labels, (iv) process a new driving event using the trained model, (v) assign the new driving event to one of the at least two clusters using the trained model, and (vi) based at least in part upon the cluster labels for the assigned cluster, determine whether the new driving event is an actual distracted driving event or a passenger event.

Abstract: A linear motor/generator/transmission system includes a guideway with rails and a plurality of stator cores and coils evenly disposed along the length and in the center of the guideway. The system also includes a carriage configured to travel along the guideway having at least two magnet bars with alternating pole magnets, each successive magnet of each magnet bar mounted in front of the other in a direction of travel of the carriage. In embodiments, the magnet bars are mounted parallel to and on either side of a longitudinal centerline of the carriage such that, when adjacent to the center line and each other, the at least two magnet bars are positioned over the stator coils and are configured to be slidably translated away from the center line of the carriage to a position where the at least two magnet bars are not over the stator coils.

In particular, a displacement signal, a velocity signal, and an acceleration signal measured from or derived from a displacement sensor are analyzed to determine when the leading edge of the instrument passes from the first material to the second material as the leading edge of the instrument is advanced relative to the material. For instance, the measurement may be used to output an occurrence signal that indicates to a user that the instrument has passed from the first medium to the second medium. Additionally, a length measurement of the path of the instrument when passing from the first medium to the second medium may be recorded, and/or the instrument may be controlled (e.g., the instrument may be stopped).

Abstract: A pill packet dosage tracking and gating device is provided. The device includes a container, a gate, and a controller. The container includes a reservoir configured to hold a stream of pill packets and an extraction channel configured to guide the passage of the stream of pill packets from the reservoir out of the container. The gate is disposed in the extraction channel and is configured to vertically transition from a closed position blocking extraction of a pill packet of the stream of pill packets and an open position allowing extraction of a pill packet. The controller is configured to monitor the extraction of pill packets and control the transition of the gate from the closed position to the open position.

The method also includes storing a job assignment including a unique CPE identity and service information for the provisioning of the CPE. The identity is linked to the customer through the job assignment. The method also includes provisioning a class of service template exclusively for providing the intended operation of the CPE at the customer premises and paired with the CPE identity through the job assignment. The method also includes receiving a provisioning request sent by the CPE to a FQDN pointed at the ZTP server and including the CPE identity. Finally, the method includes pushing the COS template to the CPE.

The advertisement inventory is bought and sold as canonical inventory units which group similar but discrete advertisement slots together. The marketplace system may include a seller side platform (SSP) for sellers through which sellers can access demand across multiple sales channels and can make advertisement inventory available and accept or reject bids based on marketplace demand.

Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to providing notifications regarding events that may interrupt content being rendered at an interface. The notifications can be preemptive and/or can indicate a predicted time and/or source for the events. The event can be, for example, a person attempting to contact a user who is viewing content at a display interface. The person can be associated with a food delivery that has been ordered by the user via a delivery application. An application, such an automated assistant application, can predict when the person is expected to arrive with the food delivery, and generate a notification ahead of the person arriving. In some implementations, the notification can be rendered at a scrubber user interface (UI) at a location corresponding to the time that the food delivery is expected to arrive, thereby putting the user on notice of when the streaming content may be interrupted.
