Abstract: A host device is configured to obtain a default timeout value of the host device for the submission of an input-output (IO) operation to a storage system and to determine a first timeout value that is less than the default timeout value. The host device is further configured to submit the IO operation to the storage system along a first path using the first timeout value and to determine that the submission of the IO operation along the first path has timed out. The host device is further configured to determine a second timeout value that is greater than the first timeout value and to submit the IO operation to the storage system along a second path using the second timeout value.

Abstract: Embodiments are disclosed of a baffle unit. The baffle unit includes an elastic member and one or more baffle blades. Each baffle blade has a first edge and a second edge, and each baffle blade has its first edge coupled to the elastic member, so that each baffle blade rotates about and deforms the elastic member in response to aerodynamic forces applied to the one or more baffle blades. Implementation of one or more of the baffle units preventing or reduces thermal impact of the airflow on liquid cooling devices and enables airflow management optimization.

Abstract: A system and method for brainwave entrainment using virtual objects and gamification, in which brainwave entrainment is applied using some combination of gaming elements, brainwave is enhanced by virtue of the user's active participation, and long-term use is encouraged by virtue of the entertaining nature of the gamification. Depending on configuration, the system and method may comprise a display comprising virtual objects, a light-producing device (other than the display), an audio-producing device such as speakers or headphones, a haptic feedback device such as a vibratory motor, a means for monitoring the user's attention, and a software application which applies brainwave entrainment using some combination of the display, the light-producing device, the audio-producing device, and the haptic feedback device.

Abstract: An assembly configured to seal an end plug on a plugged end of a fuel tube is disclosed. The assembly includes a seal weld chamber assembly and a helium flow stop assembly (HFSA) removably coupled to the seal weld chamber assembly. The seal weld chamber assembly includes a welding chamber and a plunger fluidically coupled to the welding chamber. A helium source is configured to supply helium to the welding chamber. The end plug of the fuel tube is positionable within the welding chamber via the plunger. The HFSA is configured to prevent helium from escaping the welding chamber through the plunger.

Abstract: Systems, apparatuses, and methods are described for providing audio assistance during trick play. Users, for example, visually-impaired users, may enable audio assistance features for trick play operations and customize audio assistance settings. The audio assistance may comprise outputting one or more audio cues during trick play. The audio cues may be associated with one or more types of scenes may indicate the progress of a trick play content item. The audio cues may also indicate automatic skipping of an objectionable scene or commercial and the output of a next scene.

Abstract: A roof mount system supports a solar panel above a roof and includes a base positioned on the roof and a first fastener connected to the base and extending away from the roof and moveable along the base in a direction generally parallel to the roof. A first clamp supports a bottom surface of a solar panel frame and adjusts the height of the solar panel above the roof by moving the first clamp along a first fastener in a direction perpendicular to the roof. A second clamp is connected to a second fastener and moves with respect to the first clamp perpendicular to the roof. The solar panel is clamped between the first clamp and the second clamp portion. A protrusion extends from the first or second clamp to form an electrical bond between the solar panel frame and the respective first or second clamp.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems, methods and computer-readable media for controlling and managing the identification and provisioning of resources within an on-demand center as well as the transfer of workload to the provisioned resources. One aspect involves creating a virtual private cluster within the on-demand center for the particular workload from a local environment. A method of managing resources between a local compute environment and an on-demand environment includes detecting an event associated with a local compute environment and based on the detected event, identifying information about the local environment, establishing communication with an on-demand compute environment and transmitting the information about the local environment to the on-demand compute environment, provisioning resources within the on-demand compute environment to substantially duplicate the local environment and transferring workload from the local-environment to the on-demand compute environment.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for enabling an automated assistant to adjust its behavior depending on a detected vocabulary level or other vocal characteristics of an input utterance provided to an automated assistant. The estimated vocabulary level or other vocal characteristics may be used to influence various aspects of a data processing pipeline employed by the automated assistant. In some implementations, one or more tolerance thresholds associated with, for example, grammatical tolerances or vocabulary tolerances, may be adjusted based on the estimated vocabulary level or vocal characteristics of the input utterance.

Abstract: A coupling assembly includes a locking collar, a gasket, and a retaining sleeve. The locking collar includes a body and external threads. The external threads are formed on an outer circumferential surface of the body. The gasket is positioned between first and second pipes, and the locking collar. The retaining sleeve includes internal threads formed in an inner circumferential surface of the retaining sleeve. Each internal thread is configured to receive a respective external thread of the locking collar. The retaining sleeve is rotatable between an unlocked position in which the gasket seal is disengaged from the locking collar and the first and second pipes, and a locked position in which the external threads and the internal threads cooperate to move the retaining sleeve axially along the locking collar so that the gasket seal is engaged with the locking collar and the first and second pipes.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for media decoding by a decoder include decoding a first indication indicative of a first conformance point of a coded video sequence. A second indication indicative of a second conformance point of the coded video sequence is decoded. It is determined whether the coded video sequence is decodable by the decoder based on at least one of the first indication and the second indication. The coded video sequence is selectively decoded based on determining whether the decoded video sequence is decodable by the decoder.

Abstract: A method, computer program, and/or computer system is provided for coding a video sequence. Video data containing one or more faces may be received. One or more virtual boundaries between the one or more faces of the received video data may be selected. In-loop filtering may be disabled between the one or more selected virtual boundaries from among the virtual boundaries, based on the selected boundaries being discontinuous in a three-dimensional geometry.

Abstract: A homomorphic encryption system evaluates homomorphically encrypted data, including receiving ciphertext input homomorphically encrypted from a plaintext input using a set-system including sets having an intersection property. An arithmetic function is evaluated on the ciphertext input to generate a ciphertext output, the arithmetic function including one or more additive gates and one or more multiplicative gates, wherein the evaluating operation generates errors during evaluation of the arithmetic function and the intersection property of the sets cancel out the errors during the evaluating operation. The ciphertext output is transmitted for homomorphic decryption to generate a plaintext result.

Abstract: Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed to validate reference media assets in media identification systems. Example apparatus disclosed herein include an asset data receiver to identify respective instances of media represented by corresponding candidate media resources to be verified, and a media player controller to cause the respective instances of media to be presented and monitored by corresponding ones of a plurality of virtual machines. Disclosed example apparatus also include an asset matcher to perform a comparison of a first one of the candidate media resources to a corresponding test media resource generated by a first one of the virtual machines that played and monitored a first one of the instances of media represented by the first one of the candidate media resources. Disclosed example apparatus further include an asset validator to validate the first one of the candidate media resources based on the comparison.
