  • Patent number: 11518629
Abstract: A measurement system used in conjunction with a conveyor includes a first sensor with a first transceiver and a second sensor with a second transceiver. The transceivers transmit a first light beam and a second light beam towards a movable portion of the conveyor. A control unit communicably coupled to the first sensor and the second sensor, wherein the control unit calculates a first distance between the first sensor and the movable portion based on the first sensor and a second distance between the second sensor and the movable portion based on the second sensor. The control unit determines a difference value between the first distance and the second distance; and stops the unloader in response to the difference value being above a predefined threshold value.

  • Patent number: 11520807
Abstract: Technology for interoperability is disclosed by enabling the sharing of application state data for an application experience across computing devices, operating systems, applications, or locations. In one aspect, a secondary application shares encrypted state data along with a non-encrypted hint that describes the application experience reflected in the state data with a primary application. The primary application is then able to use the hint to determine that a user is interested in returning to the experience in the secondary application. The primary application then transfers the encrypted state data to the secondary application, which uses the state data to return the application to the application experience. A platform and an application programming interface (API) are provided for computer applications and services to store and retrieve application state data associated with an event.

  • Patent number: 11522820
Abstract: A computing system receives from a messaging system a first input identifying a data source. The computing system receives from the messaging system a second input specifying a natural language command related to the data source. The system translates the second input into a set of parameters for building a first data visualization from the data source. The system calls one or more API functions provided by a data visualization server, and the computing system receives from the data visualization server a first data visualization that includes a first subset of data fields from the data source. The system generates a representation of the first data visualization and sends the representation to the messaging system, which in turn sends the representation to an electronic device for display on the device.

  • Patent number: 11522053
Abstract: Devices and methods for providing a power transistor structure with a shallow source region include implanting a dopant of a first dopant polarity into a drift region on a source side of a gate structure to form a body region, the body region being self-aligned to, and extending under, the gate structure, and producing a shallow body region wherein the source side hybrid contact mitigates punch through of the shallow self-aligned body region and suppresses triggering of a parasitic bipolar. A retrograde body well, of the first dopant polarity, may be disposed beneath, and noncontiguous with, the shallow self-aligned body region, wherein the retrograde body well improves the electric field profile of the shallow self-aligned body region. A variety of power transistor structures are produced from such devices and methods.

  • Patent number: 11521396
Abstract: Systems and methods are described that probabilistically predict dynamic object behavior. In particular, in contrast to existing systems which attempt to predict object trajectories directly (e.g., directly predict a specific sequence of well-defined states), a probabilistic approach is instead leveraged that predicts discrete probability distributions over object state at each of a plurality of time steps. In one example, systems and methods predict future states of dynamic objects (e.g., pedestrians) such that an autonomous vehicle can plan safer actions/movement.

  • Patent number: 11520503
Abstract: A method is used for efficient storage allocation in a storage system. An infrastructure manager receives a request for storage from a first storage operating entity. The infrastructure manager identifies, from entries in a pagebin, a pagelist with sufficient available storage to satisfy the request. The infrastructure manager locks the pagebin while assigning the identified pagelist to the first storage operating entity. Upon a commitment of the identified pagelist by the first storage operating entity, the infrastructure manager unlocks the pagebin and identifies, from the entries in the pagebin, a second pagelist with sufficient available storage to satisfy a request from a second storage operating entity.

  • Patent number: 11520744
Abstract: Described is a system (and method) that intelligently distributes data within a clustered storage environment. To provide such a capability, the system may distribute backup files by considering a source of the data to be backed-up. In particular, the system may leverage the ability of front-end components such as a backup application to perform a granular data source identification of data. Such information may be propagated to back-end components such as a storage filesystem in the form of a data source identifier (e.g. placement tag). The data source identifiers may then be accessed by the clustered storage system to intelligently distribute backup files amongst a set of storage nodes forming a cluster. For example, backup files from the same data source may be stored on the same storage node to obtain the same deduplication efficiency as a single storage system.
