  • Patent number: 11521010
Abstract: Among other things, we describe techniques for automatically selecting data samples for annotation. The techniques use bounding box prediction based on a bounding box score distribution, spatial probability density determined from bounding box sizes and positions and an ensemble score variance determined from outputs of multiple machine learning models to select data samples for annotation. In an embodiment, temporal inconsistency cues are used to select data samples for annotation. In an embodiment, digital map constraints or other map-based data are used to exclude data samples from annotation. In an exemplary application, the annotated data samples are used to train a machine learning model that outputs perception data for an autonomous vehicle application.

  • Patent number: 11516957
Abstract: A method of maintaining a desired seed population rate during periods of acceleration of the agricultural planter. In one method, if the horizontal acceleration of the planter is greater than a predefined upper threshold, the seed disc is driven at a rotational speed to maintain the desired seed population rate based on a highest stable ground speed. In another method, if the horizontal acceleration is less than a predefined lower acceleration threshold, the seed disc is driven at a rotational speed to maintain the desired seed population rate based on a lowest stable ground speed. In another method, if the horizontal acceleration is less than the predefined upper acceleration threshold and is greater than the predefined lower acceleration threshold, the seed disc is driven at a rotational speed to maintain the desired seed population rate based on an a preferred planter ground speed input.

  • Patent number: 11520800
Abstract: Methods, computer systems, computer-storage media, and graphical user interfaces are provided for facilitating data transformations, according to embodiments of the present invention. In one embodiment, a set of example values are received. A repository of transformation tools is searched to identify a new transformation tool as relevant to a data transformation associated with the received set of example values. The repository includes annotations associated with the new transformation tool. The new transformation tool is used to generate a transformation program that produces transformed output values. Additional annotations are generated for the new transformation tool based on the transformed output values.

  • Patent number: 11519779
Abstract: A fluid properties sensing system includes an optical sensor which generates a sensor signal based on received laser light, a light source which transmits laser light through a transmitting fiber to a sensor head, a receiver that detects a portion of the laser light from a receiving fiber through an evanescent field of the transmitting fiber when the laser light radiates through a transmitting fiber wall of the transmitting fiber and interacts with a fluid medium at an interface of the sensor and the fluid medium, and a processor. The fibers are coupled at one end through the evanescent field to form the sensor head disposed in a flow field and to interact with the fluid medium. The processor identifies a change in the sensor signal based on a detected portion of the laser light resulting from an interaction of the sensor head with the fluid medium.

  • Patent number: 11520397
Abstract: Methods, systems, apparatuses, and computer-readable storage mediums are described for altering a power consumption of a battery-powered device. In an example system, a power monitor is configured to measure, for each of a plurality of components in the battery-powered device, a power consumption of the component during execution of an AI model that is stored on the device. A consumption analyzer is configured to predict whether a battery criterion would be satisfied during operation of the battery-powered device based on the measured power consumption of the components. In examples, operation of the device may include operation of the device in which the AI model is executed. A model retraining engine retrains the AI model if the battery criterion is not predicted to be satisfied during operation of the device, and a retrained AI model may be provided for execution on the battery-powered device.

  • Patent number: 11522289
Abstract: Disclosed is an antenna that enables dense packing of low band, mid band, and C-band radiators. The low band radiators have a plurality of dipole arms that minimize re-radiation of either RF energy emitted by either the mid band or C-Band radiators. In one embodiment, the dipole arms are formed of a two-dimensional structure that has a shape that substantially prevents re-radiation in both the mid band and the C-band. In another embodiment, the dipole arms have two different configurations: a first configuration optimized for preventing re-radiation in the mid band, and a second configuration optimized for preventing re-radiation in the C-Band. In the latter embodiment, the low band radiators in close proximity to the mid band radiators have dipole arms of the first configuration, and the low band radiators in close proximity to the C-Band radiators have dipole arms of the second configuration.

  • Patent number: 11522688
Abstract: Techniques to transmit encoded data along a physical medium, e.g. tape, and decode the transmitted data along the physical medium are provided. Some techniques include logic to encode data transmitted along a physical medium, such as a tape suitable for any purpose including the encoding of multimedia data, where the encoding is pursuant to a conversion between a first and second colorspace. The logic may further be configured to decode the data once it is received at a node along the tape, where the colorspace conversion provides the basis, key, or cipher for preforming the decoding operation. The logic may be further configured to alter the encryption and decryption basis, key, or cypher by altering the colorspace scheme defining the encoding (and by extension the decoding) during transmission, including a transmission that takes place after a previous transmission governed by the previously defined (and subsequently altered) colorspace conversion scheme. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
