Abstract: A lid for a beverage container having a reservoir chamber for holding drink additive, a measurement chamber in fluid communication with the measurement chamber, and an upper chamber with a lower end in fluid communication with an upper end portion of the reservoir chamber. A plunger has an upper chamber seal, an upper seal and a lower seal, and an actuator moves the plunger between first, second and third plunger positions to dispense a measured drink additive in the measurement chamber into the container. The plunger has a central filler port to receive drink additive and an aperture in fluid communication with the reservoir chamber. The actuator includes a closure member closing the filler port and manually movable to move the plunger. A lock member is movable between locked and unlocked positions, and in the locked position prevents movement of the plunger from the first to the second plunger position.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques for bonding components of LEDs. According to certain embodiments, a method includes performing p-side processing of a first component. The p-side processing is performed from a direction adjacent to a surface of a p-side semiconductor layer of the first component that is opposite to an active light emitting layer of the first component. The method also includes aligning first contacts of the first component with second contacts of the second component, and subsequently performing hybrid bonding of the first component to the second component by performing dielectric bonding of a first dielectric material of the first component with a second dielectric material of the second component at a first temperature, and subsequently performing metal bonding of the first contacts of the first component with the second contacts of the second component by annealing the first contacts and the second contacts at a second temperature.
Abstract: A lighting device and a method of manufacturing a lighting device are described. A lighting device includes a heat sink providing a first mounting area for at least one LED element, a second mounting area for at least one electrical connection assembly, and a cavity adjacent the first mounting area. An inner part is arranged at least partially inside the cavity and includes at least a first and a second connection terminal and at least one electrical connection path. The first and the second connection terminal are provided on a surface of the inner part. The first connection terminal is arranged between the first mounting area and the second connection terminal. The second connection terminal is arranged between the second mounting area and the first connection terminal. The electrical connection path is provided at least partially inside the inner part connecting the first and second electrical terminal.
Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to managing workloads provided by a plurality of clients to a shared resource. One example provides a computing device comprising a processor and a storage device storing instructions executable by the processor. The instructions are executable to provide a first workload from a first client and a second workload from a second client to a shared memory accessible by the first client, the second client, and a resource configured to process the first workload and the second workload. The computing device is configured to determine that an exception has occurred while processing the first workload, and to take an action to prevent execution of at least some additional work from the first client. The instructions are further executable to receive a result of processing the second workload after taking the action to prevent the execution of the additional work.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a thin-provisioned multi-node computer system with a disaggregated memory pool and a pooled memory controller. The disaggregated memory pool is configured to make a shared memory capacity available to each of a plurality of compute nodes, such memory capacity being thinly provisioned relative to the plurality of compute nodes. The pooled memory controller is configured to assign a plurality of memory segments of the disaggregated memory pool to the plurality of compute nodes; identify a subset of the plurality of segments as cold segments, such identification being based on determining that a usage characteristic for each such cold segment is below a threshold; and page one or more of the cold segments out to an expanded bulk memory device, thereby freeing one or more assigned memory segments of the disaggregated memory pool.
Abstract: Wheel carriage assemblies and related fabric deployment systems and methods are disclosed. A wheel carriage assembly comprising at least one wheel with ball bearings on the interior of each wheel, and a pivot point that allows for position independence, is configured with a hembar coupled to a piece of fabric to allow a surface of varying shape to be covered. The system provides the ability to cover both traditional window shapes as well as surfaces of irregular shape or inclined orientation, and reduces and evens the amount of wear on certain components to extend system life.

Abstract: A system and method according to which a donation transaction is conducted. Abstract: Load balancing based on pairing efficiency and channel bandwidth includes comparing pairing efficiency metrics of wireless devices attached to different wireless air interfaces, comparing an aggregate channel bandwidth of carriers using each wireless air interface, and offloading wireless devices from one carrier to another carrier based on the comparisons of the pairing efficiency metrics and the aggregate channel bandwidth. In an embodiment, wireless devices are offloaded from a 5G NR wireless air interface to a 4G LTE wireless air interface having a higher pairing efficiency and aggregate channel bandwidth.
Abstract: A method, system and computer program product for performing computations on sensitive data while guaranteeing privacy. A service provider receives a first and a second ciphertext from a medical provider that homomorphically encrypts matrices A and B, respectively, using an encryption key, where the matrices A and B include medical data encoded as vectors. The service provider performs a homomorphic matrix multiplication on the first and second ciphertexts without decrypting the first and second ciphertexts. An encrypted result from the performed homomorphic matrix multiplication on the first and second ciphertexts is generated and transmitted to the medical provider to decrypt which matches a result of performing a matrix multiplication on unencrypted matrices A and B thereby enabling computations to be performed on the medical data in a secure manner.
