Abstract: Methods are provided of preventing or reversing negative effects in a subject, which effects arise from intentional or accidental opioid or opiate exposure coupled with intentional or accidental stimulant exposure, or interactive effects of these classes of drugs (e.g. Stimulant and Synthetic Opioid Induced Vascular Events (SSOIVE) from concurrent opioid and stimulant overdose). The methods involve administering to the subject a pharmaceutical composition including therapeutically effective amounts of an ?1 adrenergic receptor antagonist, together with one or more of a mu (or opioid receptor subtype) antagonist or agonist, an anticholinergic agent and/or cholinergic agents, a combined alpha-1 adrenergic antagonist and anticholinergic, a paralytic or muscle relaxant, a GABA complex antagonist, an anti-seizure/membrane stabilizer agent, an ?2 adrenergic receptor agonist and/or a beta blocker; and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier.

Abstract: A header for a combine harvester includes a conveyor belt for conveying crop material in a conveyance direction, and an adjusting device for adjusting a tension of the conveyor belt. The adjusting device includes a cable that is movable with respect to a frame member of the header. A portion of the cable that is either directly or indirectly attached to one end of a roller for the conveyor belt extends either parallel to or substantially parallel to a tensioning direction of the conveyor belt for adjusting the tension of the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt may be an infeed conveyor belt or a lateral conveyor belt of a draper header, for example.

Abstract: The present technology provides transcription factors for modifying plant metabolism and nucleic acid molecules that encode such transcription factors. Also provide are methods of using these nucleic acids to modulate alkaloid production in plants and for producing plant and plant cells having altered alkaloid content. Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for modulating nicotine biosynthesis in plants.

Abstract: A cross-laminated timber (CLT) and cold formed steel (CFS) connector and system is provided. The CLT and CFS connector comprises a track, at least one fastener, and at least one spring. The track is configured to connect to at least one CFS stud. The at least one fastener includes a head and shaft. The at least one fastener is configured to connect the track to a CLT panel. The at least one spring is configured to receive the shaft of the fastener and compress between the head of the fastener and the track. Methods of installing the CLT and CFS connector and system are also provided.

The plurality of pores are sized and structured in the elongated tubular member to allow permeation or infiltration of at least one of water or bacteria into at least a portion of the plurality of pores and promote biodegradability of the elongated tubular member.

Abstract: The invention is a point and click method for positioning an external fixator on a patient, in which a surgeon—using a computer mouse or similar device—inscribes lines or points on a computer screen displaying an x-ray or other photographic image of the bones of a patient together with two rings in position adjacent the bones. By inscribing lines on the computer screen, the underlying drawings program detects the x-y coordinates of any point on the screen when the user (the surgeon or other practitioner) clicks on it, and outputs the x-y coordinates of every point identified by the user including the two points defining any desired line. The practitioner thus can, using “point and click” operation, govern the repositioning of two fixator rings on the bones of a patient.

Abstract: A liquid treatment system and methods for removing contaminants from a liquid flow is disclosed. The treatment system having a treatment zone, a nanobubble diffuser system and a skimmer cassette assembly configured to remove the nanobubble and contaminant agglomeration from the liquid flow. The nanobubble diffuser system configured to diffuse negatively charged nanobubbles into the liquid flow whereby the nanobubbles adhere to positively charged contaminants and the nanobubble and contaminant agglomeration is urged to float towards a surface of the liquid flow in the treatment zone and be removed by the skimmer cassette assembly. In some embodiments, larger bubble diffuse systems are provided to increase the rise rate of contaminants. In some embodiments, the treatment system is a floating vessel. In some embodiments, the treatment system is configured to remove microplastics down to a size of about 1 mm and less.
