Abstract: A magnetic field sensor includes: a substrate; a transmission coil formed on the substrate, the transmission coil being configured to generate a direct magnetic field; a sensing bridge that is formed on the substrate, the sensing bridge being configured to detect the direct magnetic field and a reflected magnetic field that is generated by a target, the reflected magnetic field being generated in response to eddy currents that are induced in the target by the direct magnetic field; a processing circuitry being configured to generate an output signal that is indicative of a position of the target, the output signal being generated by normalizing a first signal with respect to a second signal, the first signal being generated at least in part by using the sensing bridge, and the second signal being generated at least in part by using the sensing bridge, wherein the second signal is based on the detected direct magnetic field.

Abstract: Methods and systems including processing dredge spoils to reclaim soil therefrom. The techniques may include a feed system for receiving dredge spoils, a dewatering system for removing water from the dredge spoils, and a grinder/mixer for grinding the dredge spoils from the dewatering system while mixing the dredge spoils with one or more additional materials.

Abstract: A header for a combine harvester includes a conveyor belt for conveying crop material in a conveyance direction, and an adjusting device for adjusting a tension of the conveyor belt. The adjusting device includes a cable that is movable with respect to a frame member of the header. A portion of the cable that is either directly or indirectly attached to one end of a roller for the conveyor belt extends either parallel to or substantially parallel to a tensioning direction of the conveyor belt for adjusting the tension of the conveyor belt. The conveyor belt may be an infeed conveyor belt or a lateral conveyor belt of a draper header, for example.

Abstract: The present technology provides transcription factors for modifying plant metabolism and nucleic acid molecules that encode such transcription factors. Also provide are methods of using these nucleic acids to modulate alkaloid production in plants and for producing plant and plant cells having altered alkaloid content. Disclosed herein are methods and compositions for modulating nicotine biosynthesis in plants.

Abstract: A coupler includes a housing and a contact sub-assembly. The housing includes a channel having openings at first and second ends of the housing. The first end receives a first connector having a first pair of contacts and the second end receives a second connector having a second pair of contacts. The contact sub-assembly includes exactly one pair of coupling contacts and a body portion supporting the pair of coupling contacts. The contact sub-assembly is positioned centrally within the housing and includes an anti-rotation feature and one or more crush ribs to create an interference fit with an interior surface of the housing. The pair of coupling contacts serve to couple the first and second connectors for both power and data transmission. In certain embodiments, contacts sub-assembly utilizes a circuit board to electrically couple contacts.

Abstract: Ultra-large marine submersible transport boats and arrangements for aqueous bulk liquids transportation, including fresh water and irrigation drainage, from specifically configured supply stations to specifically configured delivery stations. Boats present rigid hydrodynamic shaped double-walled submersible hulls incorporating a plurality of inside-reinforced impervious ballast chambers and also present radial reinforcing elements and hollow interior cavities that enclose collapsible bulk liquid bladders for transporting bulk liquids. Hulls can be made of reinforced concrete. Hull openings permit seawater circulation, avoiding transportation of bulk ballast seawater. Submersible cruising reduces structural loads and drag. An on-board hydro-pneumatic ballasting system adds to and removes reusable hull ballast water from, the ballast chambers controlling the hull's depth, pitch, and roll.

Abstract: The technology relates to aerial vehicle launch and land site selection. A method for determining beneficial launch and land sites may include computing a launch delay for a desired time period for each cell in a grid map with a target zone and an existing site located on the grid map, computing a flight time to target for a delay time that accounts for a launch delay, computing a launch time to target based on the launch delay and the flight time to target, receiving geographical restrictions data, and determining an efficiency benefit over the existing site based on the geographical restrictions data and a comparison of the launch time to target of each cell with the launch time to target of the existing site for the desired time period.

Abstract: Cutting guide systems for adjusting and stabilizing cutting devices are disclosed. Example cutting guide systems may be used in orthopedic surgery. In some examples, a cutting guide system comprises a support mount, a joint, and a cutting instrument support, wherein the joint permits the cutting instrument support to be adjusted with respect to the support mount. The joint may permit the cutting instrument support to be rotated about at least two axes. The joint may be lockable to hold the position of the cutting instrument support. A cutting instrument may be pivotable and/or movable in a longitudinal direction with respect to the cutting instrument support. In some examples, a cutting guide system comprises a track, wherein a cutting instrument support is connected to the track in a manner that permits the cutting instrument support to move along a path. Methods of using cutting guide systems are also disclosed.

The operating environment provides aggregation of notifications, support tickets, utilization status, and can provide an aggregated alert system for such information related to the cloud service accounts. A computing system can communicatively couple to multiple cloud service accounts and can receive notifications of issues and generate alerts accordingly.

Abstract: Implementations of a pre-emphasis signal processing system may include an output driver which may include a pre-emphasis transistor coupled with a steady state transistor, where gates of the pre-emphasis transistor and steady state transistor may be coupled together. The system may include a regulator voltage input coupled to a source of the pre-emphasis transistor; a first resistor coupled between a drain of the pre-emphasis transistor and an output of the output driver; and a second resistor coupled between the drain of the steady state transistor and the output of the output driver; and a pre-emphasis source including a current source coupled to a delay transistor, the delay transistor coupled with the output of the output driver.

The processing circuitry can decode coding information for a plurality of blocks from a coded video bitstream. The coding information can indicate a high-level control flag for the plurality of blocks. The high-level control flag can indicate whether a plurality of coding tools is disabled for at least one of the plurality of blocks where at least one of the plurality of blocks includes a current block. The processing circuitry can determine whether the plurality of coding tools is disabled for the at least one of the plurality of blocks based on the high-level control flag. The processing circuitry can reconstruct the current block without the plurality of coding tools based on the plurality of coding tools being determined as disabled.

Abstract: According to examples, an apparatus may include a processor that may identify a navigation event responsive to a URL being entered into an address bar of a web browser, the URL having a domain and a URL component, and may determine whether the web browser received an instruction to navigate to a return URL, in which the return URL includes a suffix domain for a proxy and does not include the URL component. The processor may also, based on a determination that the web browser received the instruction to navigate to the return URL, generate a modified URL by appending the suffix domain to the URL to restore context of the URL for the proxy and navigate the web browser to the modified URL.

The method analyzes a context for a user account to select a theme from a plurality of themes for a collection in the plurality of collections. The themes in the plurality of themes apply different display formats to the collection. The method sends an identifier for the theme and information for the collection to a client device being used by the user account to indicate to the interface the theme to use to display the collection with the plurality of collections.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for improving the performance of a telecommunications network by monitoring the performance of one or more storage drives. Operational data is received from a plurality of storage drives of a storage server of a telecommunications network. A plurality of operational coefficients for each of the plurality of storage drives is derived based on the operational data, and a cluster plot is created from the plurality of operational coefficients for each of the plurality of storage drives. A distance is calculated between a subset of operational coefficients of the plurality of operational coefficients of the cluster plot, and a remedial action is initiated on a storage drive of the plurality of storage drives when a calculated distance of an operational coefficient associated with the storage drive exceeds a distance value from a cluster of the cluster plot.

Abstract: A method for encoding an image using intra prediction can include determining an intra prediction mode of a current block; generating a mode group indicator and a prediction mode index; constructing a most probable mode (MPM) group including three intra prediction modes determined using a left and an above intra prediction mode of the current block; determining whether all reference pixels of the current block are available; generating reference pixels if one or more reference pixels of the current block are unavailable; adaptively filtering the reference pixels based on the intra prediction mode and the size of the current block, wherein if the size of the current block is 4×4, the reference pixels are not filtered, and if the size of the current block is larger than 4×4, the number of intra prediction mode where the reference pixels are filtered increases as the current block becomes larger; generating the prediction block using the reference pixels.

Abstract: A method of detecting a hand-to-mouth (HMG) gesture with an e-vaping device includes detecting movements of the e-vaping device; generating quaternions based on the detected movements; generating movement features based on the generated quaternions; applying the generated movement features to a classifier; and determining whether the detected movements correspond to an HMG based on an output of the classifier.
