Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a method for file backup, an electronic device and a computer program product. The method comprises: dividing a set of files to be backed up into a plurality of subsets of files, files in each of the plurality of subsets of files being of a same file type. The method also comprises: generating a plurality of backup files based on the plurality of subsets of files respectively, the plurality of backup files corresponding to a plurality of file types of files in the plurality of subsets of files respectively. The method further comprises: generating an overall backup file corresponding to the set of files based on the plurality of backup files.
Abstract: A decorative light string is provided that includes a plurality of light emitting diode (LED) illumination assemblies electrically connected in series and a stabilizing current or voltage circuit. Each of the plurality of LED illumination assemblies includes an LED. The stabilizing current or voltage circuit is electrically connected in series with the plurality of LED illumination assemblies. The stabilizing current or voltage circuit is configured to receive input power from an input power source and configured to supply a stabilized current or voltage to the plurality of LED illumination assemblies that provides a stable supply even with input power source fluctuations. Power fluctuations from an input power source can prevent the decorative light string from maintaining a desired brightness and desired LED life unless the voltage or current to the LED illumination assemblies is stabilized.
Abstract: A method of effecting a tendon repair in a patient comprising providing a suture tape, using the suture tape to connect tendon tissue to bone of the patient such that the suture tape lays flat on the tendon, and permitting ingrowth of the tendon tissue into the suture tape as the absorbable fibers are absorbed into the patient's tissue. The suture tape is a flat braid of elastic, absorbable fibers and high strength fibers, the tape being at least 1 mm wide and 2 cm long, and less than 1 mm high. The suture tape includes at least 4 absorbable fibers and at least 4 high strength fibers. Further, the suture tape is capable of being stretched at least 10% from its shortest length to the length at which it breaks and is capable of withstanding a load of at least 260 Newtons before breaking.

Abstract: A vehicle can include a base assembly, a rack assembly, and a processing system. The base assembly can include a platform, a plurality of wheels and a motor for driving at least one of the plurality of wheels. The rack assembly can include a storage shelf connected to the base assembly through a coupling, which includes a bearing assembly enabling the storage shelf to rotate with respect to the platform. The processing system can be configured to communicatively couple with the rack assembly and include one or more processors configured to: determine a location of a target good; cause the storage shelf to move based on the determined location.

Abstract: An imaging system includes a first camera and a second camera. A first antenna arrangement collects image light from a first scene as seen by the first camera, and a second antenna arrangement collects image light from a second, different scene as seen by the second camera. The first antenna arrangement includes a first polarized dish antenna and the second antenna arrangement includes a second polarized dish antenna. The first camera and the second camera are supported with a first polarization of the first polarized dish antenna orthogonal to a second polarization of the second polarized dish antenna such that at least some of the image light from the first scene travels through the second polarized dish antenna to reach the first camera and at least some of the image light from the second scene travels through the first polarized dish antenna to reach the second camera.
Abstract: A beacon for a robotic cleaner may include a housing and an optical indicium having an optical pattern. The optical indicium may be coupled to the housing and be viewable by a camera of the robotic cleaner. After observing the optical indicium, the robotic cleaner may be caused to carry out an action associated with at least a portion of the optical pattern.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods of identifying a patient in need of pressure ulcer treatment and treating the patient with clinical intervention selected based on sub-epidermal moisture values. The present disclosure also provides methods of stratifying groups of patients based on pressure ulcer risks and methods of reducing incidence of pressure ulcers in a care facility.
Abstract: Techniques for managing storage may comprise: receiving a request for a first amount of free capacity, wherein the request includes a first priority denoting a purpose for which the first amount of free capacity is requested; determining whether a current utilization of storage exceeds a first threshold associated with the first priority; responsive to determining the current utilization of storage is less than the first threshold associated with the first priority, performing first processing including: determining whether there is a sufficient amount of existing free capacity to grant the first amount; and responsive to determining there is a sufficient amount of existing free capacity to grant the first amount, granting the first amount of free capacity; and responsive to determining the current utilization of storage is not less than the first threshold associated with the first priority, rejecting the request and not granting the first amount of free capacity.

Abstract: A drain system is described for allowing fluid to drain from a battery pack while maintaining structural integrity of the battery pack. A frame of the battery pack is comprised of several retaining members in which valves are disposed to allow fluid to exit the battery pack. The valves are positioned such that forces normally experienced while driving a vehicle, such as acceleration, deceleration, and turning forces, cause the fluid to flow toward and through the valves.

Abstract: An autonomous vehicle configured for active sensing may also be configured to weigh expected information gains from active-sensing actions against risk costs associated with the active-sensing actions. An example method involves: (a) receiving information from one or more sensors of an autonomous vehicle, (b) determining a risk-cost framework that indicates risk costs across a range of degrees to which an active-sensing action can be performed, wherein the active-sensing action comprises an action that is performable by the autonomous vehicle to potentially improve the information upon which at least one of the control processes for the autonomous vehicle is based, (c) determining an information-improvement expectation framework across the range of degrees to which the active-sensing action can be performed, and (d) applying the risk-cost framework and the information-improvement expectation framework to determine a degree to which the active-sensing action should be performed.
Abstract: Methods and an apparatus for providing a portable beauty tool assembly is described. The assembly includes multiple accessories, such as a mirror, tray, and container that may be useful as beauty tools. Further, the assembly has a unique structure that allows the apparatus to be adjusted into several different functional positions. Each position configures the assembly for hands-free use of the multiple accessories. The assembly can be placed into a vertical hanging position, a neck position, a leg position, or a tabletop position. The assembly includes a plurality of adjustable arms that provide the adjustable movement, such as extending, collapsing, and rotating, that is necessary for configuring the assembly into the various functional positions. Additionally, the assembly includes a hook arm, which can be used for attaching, securing, or stabilizing the various functional positions. The assembly can include additionally accessories, such as lights, tray inserts and mirrors having different magnifications.
