  • Patent number: 11429358
Abstract: Representing asynchronous functionality in intermediate code, and then having the runtime compiler, rather than the source code language compiler, declare the corresponding asynchronous state machine. This allows the size of the intermediate code to be smaller thereby facilitating more efficient delivery of the code to end users. Furthermore, the runtime compiler can now use its optimization capability to optimize performance of the asynchronous functionality specific to the actual environment in which the asynchronous work will operate.

  • Patent number: 11429654
Abstract: The improved exercise of artificial intelligence. Raw output data is obtained by applying an input data set to an artificial intelligence (AI). Such raw output data is sometimes difficult to interpret. The principles defined herein provide a systematic way to refine the output for a wide variety of AI models. An AI model collection characterization structure is utilized for purpose of refining AI model output so as to be more useful. The characterization structure represents, for each of multiple and perhaps numerous AI models, a refinement of output data that resulted from application of an AI model to input data. Upon obtaining output data from the AI model, the appropriate refinement may then be applied. The refined data may then be semantically indexed to provide a semantic index. The characterization structure may also provide tailored information to allow for intuitive querying against the semantic index.

  • Patent number: 11429128
Abstract: A voltage pre-regulator can receive a variable voltage in a middle voltage range (e.g., dozens of volts) and provide a regulated voltage in a safe operating region of a low voltage device. The use of the voltage pre-regulator can allow circuits to use low voltage devices to perform additional regulation/conversion without fear of damage. The voltage pre-regulator disclosed herein can perform the voltage reduction and regulation functions of pre-regulation with commonly used transistor types because the disclosed circuits and method use a bias circuit. The bias circuit uses positive feedback so that no additional start-up circuitry is required. The positive feedback is controlled by negative feedback so that the pre-regulator is able to provide a regulated voltage that is stable over a range of input voltages and temperatures.

  • Patent number: 11429952
Abstract: A system, method and computer-readable medium for interfacing with an EMV compliant chip card having an embedded microchip. A transaction computer includes a virtual credit card terminal running in a web browser and that is in communication with an EMV card reader having a chip card slot. The virtual terminal defines a first EMV transaction and a second EMV transaction based upon user input. The virtual terminal then causes the embedded microchip of the EMV chip card to generate a first cryptogram associated with the first transaction and a second cryptogram associated with the second transaction during a contact interface session or a contactless interface session. The virtual terminal then authenticates the first and second cryptograms over a computer network with a card issuer. Once authenticated, the virtual terminal completes the first transaction and the second transaction.

  • Patent number: 11426068
Abstract: A laser eye surgery system includes a laser source, a ranging subsystem, an integrated optical subsystem, and a patient interface assembly. The laser source produces a treatment beam that includes a plurality of laser pulses. The ranging subsystem produces a source beam used to locate one or more structures of an eye. The ranging subsystem includes an optical coherence tomography (OCT) pickoff assembly that includes a first optical wedge and a second optical wedge separated from the first optical wedge. The OCT pickoff assembly is configured to divide an OCT source beam into a sample beam and a reference beam. The integrated optical subsystem is used to scan the treatment beam and the sample beam. The patient interface assembly couples the eye with the integrated optical subsystem so as to constrain the eye relative to the integrated optical subsystem.

  • Patent number: 11429203
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that are directed to automatically adjusting a user interface based on tilt position of a digital drawing board. The digital drawing board has a tiltable screen with a sensor. The tiltable screen may be fixed in a stable tilt position. A sensor is used to determine that the digital drawing board has a first tilt position. The digital drawing board displays a first user interface associated with the first tilt position. The first user interface may be associated with a first use mode. The first user interface may also be based on an application running on the digital drawing board. When the sensor senses that the digital drawing board has moved from the first tilt position to a second tilt position, it automatically displays a second user interface associated with a second tilt position. The second user interface has different functionality than the first user interface.

  • Patent number: 11430217
Abstract: A method for image colorization includes receiving, from a camera, an input image including a plurality of input image pixels. One or more input interest pixels of the plurality of input image pixels are classified as corresponding to an object of interest. A display image is generated having a plurality of display image pixels each having pixel values based on relative temperature values of objects in a real-world environment, the display image pixels including display interest pixels corresponding to the input interest pixels. The display interest pixels are colorized with a color selected based on a recognized class of the object of interest to give a colorized display image, the selected color being independent of the relative temperature values of the object of interest. The colorized display image is displayed with the display interest pixels colorized with the selected color.
