  • Patent number: 11423193
Abstract: An interface system generates interfaces for visualizing human-machine interactions including piping systems. The interface system receives, as input, parameters describing a first pipe data object and a second pipe data object. The pipe data objects can be diagrams representing physical piping in an industrial system. Using the parameters of the first and second pipe data objects, the system determines whether images of the pipes in the interface will overlap. When the system renders vector graphic images of the first pipe data object and the second pipe data object, the second pipe data object is rendered with markings that provide a visual indication that the two pipes overlap and are not connected. The interface system further enables a user to edit the piping diagram to combine the first and second pipe data objects into a single combined pipe data object and updates the rendered images for display.

  • Patent number: 11422932
Abstract: Managing secondary objects efficiently increases garbage collection concurrency and reduces object storage requirements. Aliveness marking of secondary objects is integrated with aliveness marking of referenced objects. Allocation of reference-sized secondary object identifier fields in objects which are not primary objects is avoided; a dedicated bit specifies primary objects, together with an object relationship table. A primary object is one with at least one secondary object which is deemed alive by garbage collection if the primary object is alive, without being a referenced object of the primary object. Any referenced objects of the alive primary object will also still be deemed alive. Code paths for marking referenced objects can be shared to allow more efficient secondary object marking. Primary-secondary object relationships may be represented in dependent handles, and may be specified in a hash table or other data structure.

  • Patent number: 11423888
Abstract: Predicting and learning users' intended actions on an electronic device based on free-form speech input. Users' actions can be monitored to develop a list of carrier phrases having one or more actions that correspond to the carrier phrases. A user can speak a command into a device to initiate an action. The spoken command can be parsed and compared to a list of carrier phrases. If the spoken command matches one of the known carrier phrases, the corresponding action(s) can be presented to the user for selection. If the spoken command does not match one of the known carrier phrases, search results (e.g., Internet search results) corresponding to the spoken command can be presented to the user. The actions of the user in response to the presented action(s) and/or the search results can be monitored to update the list of carrier phrases.

  • Patent number: 11422608
Abstract: Techniques involve: if it is determined that a power supply level of a processing unit in a normal mode in a computer system is lower than a threshold level, determining the remaining power of a battery backup unit in the computer system; and if it is determined that the remaining power is higher than the threshold power, causing the battery backup unit to supply power to the processing unit to maintain the processing unit in the normal mode. Accordingly, the performance of the computer system can be optimized and stabilized without increasing the hardware cost of the computer system or changing the power supply capability of the computer system, and the user experience of users using the computer system can be improved.
