Abstract: Systems and methods associated with generating and/or maintaining resilient versions of application data usable by operationally distinct clusters are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary method may comprise operating plural instances of a software application in a first cluster and a second cluster, assessing requirements of streaming architecture of both clusters that impact the instances' ability to process application data, creating at least two versions of the application including a main version in one cluster and a replica version for an operationally distinct cluster, automatically mirroring replica versions of the application data from each cluster into a distinct cluster for access and use by the software instance in the distinct cluster, and storing indexes for main and replica versions and all data that the software application requires to provide consistent responses in all such operationally distinct clusters.

Abstract: Telematics systems and methods are described for generating interactive animated guided user interfaces (GUIs). A telematics cloud platform is configured to receive vehicular telematics data from a telematics device onboard a vehicle. A GUI value compression component determines, based on the vehicular telematics data, a plurality of GUI position values and a plurality of corresponding GUI time values. A geospatial animation app receives the plurality of GUI position values and the plurality of corresponding GUI time values. The geospatial animation app implements an interactive animated GUI that renders a plurality of geospatial graphics or graphical routes on a geographic area map via a display device. The geospatial graphics or graphical routes are rendered to have different visual forms based on differences between respective GUI position values and corresponding GUI time values.

Abstract: Learning to effectively imitate human teleoperators, even in unseen, dynamic environments is a promising path to greater autonomy, enabling robots to steadily acquire complex skills from supervision. Various motion generation techniques are described herein that are rooted in contraction theory and sum-of-squares programming for learning a dynamical systems control policy in the form of a polynomial vector field from a given set of demonstrations. Notably, this vector field is provably optimal for the problem of minimizing imitation loss while providing certain continuous-time guarantees on the induced imitation behavior. Techniques herein generalize to new initial and goal poses of the robot and can adapt in real time to dynamic obstacles during execution, with convergence to teleoperator behavior within a well-defined safety tube.

Abstract: A device includes an optical assembly and a digital projector. The optical assembly is configured to receive visible scene light at a backside of the optical assembly and to direct the visible scene light on an optical path toward an eyeward side. The optical assembly includes a dimming layer disposed on the optical path. The dimming layer includes a photochromic material that is configured to darken in response to exposure to a range of light wavelengths. The digital projector is disposed on the eyeward side of the optical assembly and is configured to selectively emit an activation light within the range of light wavelengths to activate a darkening of a region of the dimming layer to dim the visible scene light within the region.

Abstract: A method for execution-time dynamic range partitioning includes receiving user data including a partitioning key and a clustering key. The user data includes a respective number of total rows defining a total data size for the user data. The method also includes identifying storage constraints for the data storage system. The storage constraints include a target file size and a target number of rows per file. The method further includes determining a plurality of split points for the user data based on the storage constraints. The method also includes generating partitioning quantiles from the plurality of split points that define a range between each split point of the plurality of split points. The method further includes range partitioning each row of the user data into files using the partitioning quantiles.

Abstract: Techniques are described herein for enabling the use of “dynamic” or “context-specific” hot words for an automated assistant. In various implementations, an automated assistant may be operated at least in part on a computing device. Audio data captured by a microphone may be monitored for default hot word(s). Detection of one or more of the default hot words may trigger transition of the automated assistant from a limited hot word listening state into a speech recognition state. Transition of the computing device into a given state may be detected, and in response, the audio data captured by the microphone may be monitored for context-specific hot word(s), in addition to or instead of the default hot word(s). Detection of the context-specific hot word(s) may trigger the automated assistant to perform a responsive action associated with the given state, without requiring detection of default hot word(s).

Abstract: A nesting equipment support pad is disclosed, in particular an outdoor air conditioner compressor pad. The pad comprises a parallelogram upper surface which contacts the compressor and descending side walls from each edge of the parallelogram upper surface. Two side walls include a notch to accommodate a matching notch of another identical support pad when placed in a nesting arrangement. These notched corners are at diagonally opposing corners of each pad permitting the nesting arrangements. Additional, support rib members and protrusions are located within the cavity formed by the four side walls to provide strength and rigidity. These rib members and protrusions are placed in an offset manner to permit the nesting arrangement without interference with the mating pad.

The processing circuit includes a micro-content blocks creator for generating the contextual micro-content blocks from the processed information blocks.

The method includes closing a cathode inlet valve upstream of an inlet of a cathode of the fuel cell to prevent air from entering the fuel cell through the cathode inlet during a shutdown period and a soak period of the fuel cell. The method includes maintaining an anode outlet valve downstream of an outlet of the anode in a closed state to prevent air from leaking into the fuel cell through the anode outlet during the shutdown period and the soak period of the fuel cell.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides an experimentation framework for a computational environment in a distributed system. A machine-learning model may be created that predicts at least one output produced by the computational environment based on at least one input provided to the computational environment. During an evaluation time period that is subsequent to at least one modification being made to the computational environment, at least one modified output produced by the computational environment may be determined. The machine-learning model may be used to calculate at least one predicted output that would have been produced by the computational environment during the evaluation time period if the at least one modification had not been made. A determination may also be made about how the at least one modification affected the computational environment based on a comparison of the at least one modified output and the at least one predicted output.

Abstract: A multiple dose syringe has a first valve defining a first valve opening pressure and a second valve defining a second valve opening pressure. A storage chamber in fluid communication with the second valve stores multiple doses of a substance therein and includes an outlet for dispensing multiple doses of the stored substance therethrough. A compression surface is movable between first and second positions and defines a compression chamber between the compression surface and the first valve. Movement of the compression surface in a direction from the first position toward the second position dispenses substance in the compression chamber through the first valve and out of the syringe. Movement of the compression surface in a direction from the second position toward the first position causes substance to flow from the storage chamber through the second valve and into the compression chamber.

Abstract: Plating systems and related methods are disclosed for prepping of structural members, such as splicing and/or pre-plating structural members. A plating system can include a splicing system and a pre-plating system. A splicing system include an infeed system, an outfeed system, and a press to affix or otherwise secure a plate to opposing surfaces of structural members to splice the structural members together. Guides are automatically positioned to guide short members through the splicing system. A pre-plating system includes a press, an infeed system configured to deliver a structural member to the press, and an outfeed system configured to remove the structural member from the press. The press is configured to secure a plate to the structural member on a surface other than the opposing surfaces used to splice the structural members together. A plate picking robot is configured to pick a plate from a plate container and position the plate on a press surface.

Abstract: A system for generating graphical user interfaces. The system may include processors and storage devices storing instructions. The instructions may configure the one or more processors to perform operations including identifying a plurality of attributes from an image captured with a client device, identifying a plurality of first results based on the attributes, generating a first graphical user interface for display in the client device. The first graphical user interface may include a plurality of result icons corresponding to a subset of the first results having confidence scores above a threshold, a plurality of filter icons displaying options, and a search button. The operations may also include receiving a selection of at least one of the result icons or at least one of the filter icons, performing a search, based on the selection, and generating a second graphical user interface.
