Abstract: A method for controlling a light detection and ranging (LIDAR) sensor system includes determining a code that has a first set of symbols having a first number of symbols. An optical signal generated based on the code is transmitted to an environment. The first set of symbols are transmitted as part of the optical signal in a first duration. In response to transmitting the optical signal, a returned optical signal that is reflected from an object in the environment is received. A second number of symbols to be sampled is determined, the second number of symbols being different than the first number of symbols. A second set of symbols having the second number of symbols is sampled in a second duration based on the returned optical signal. A range to the object is determined based on the second set of symbols.

Abstract: Disclosed are systems and methods for data breach identification. The method may include: generating virtual card number (VCN) data sets; storing the VCN data sets on a first database; receiving one or more compromised VCN data sets stored on a second database and obtained from a scan of unindexed websites; comparing the compromised VCN data sets with the VCN data set stored on the first database to determine whether the VCN data sets have been compromised; for each compromised VCN data set, training the recurrent neural network (RNN) to associate the compromised VCN data sets with one or more sequential patterns found within the compromised VCN data sets to generate a trained RNN; receiving a first VCN data set from the first database; determining whether the first VCN data set matches a compromised VCN data set; and transmitting a message indicating the determination to a user or provider device.

Abstract: A system including one or more processors and one or more non-transitory computer-readable media storing computing instructions configured to run on the one or more processors and perform facilitating display of instructions to a user interface of a mobile device of a user on how to rotate a medication package in front of a camera of the mobile device to capture a video of a rotated view of a non-planar surface of the medication package; capturing, using the camera, the video of the rotated view of the non-planar surface; generating, using an input pre-processing algorithm, a series of images from the video; recognizing, using an output post-processing algorithm, respective words from the respective machine-readable text data; merging, using a merging algorithm, the respective words from the images to create lines of text; and extracting, using a machine learning algorithm, prescription data associated with prescription data fields from the lines of text. Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure include a method for point cloud coding. In the method, whether decoding of occupancy codes of nodes in a range of octree partition depths in an octree partitioning structure of a point cloud reaches a minimum octree partition depth at which parallel decoding is enabled is determined. Arithmetic coding information for decoding the occupancy codes of the nodes in the minimum octree partition depth is stored based on the decoding of the occupancy codes of the nodes in the range of octree partition depths reaching the minimum octree partition depth. The parallel decoding is performed on occupancy codes of the nodes in each of the at least one remaining octree partitions depth based on the stored arithmetic coding information. The point cloud is reconstructed based on the occupancy codes of the nodes in the range of octree partition depths in the octree partitioning structure.

The light-generation module may include an emitter module having at least one emitter mounted to a substrate and configured to emit light. The light-generation module may include a first printed circuit board on which the emitter module may be mounted and a second printed circuit board on which those circuits that are essential for powering the emitter module may be mounted. The light-generation module may include a heat sink located between the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board. The emitter module may be thermally-coupled to the heat sink through the substrate and the first printed circuit board.

In examples, a ranking for each document embedding of the plurality of document embeddings may be generated, where the ranking for each document embedding of the plurality of document embeddings is based on the user embedding. At least one document may be recommend based on a ranking associated with a document embedding.

Abstract: Thermal management systems for batteries utilize vapor chambers having wicking components therein. An exemplary thermal management system includes a vapor chamber containing a working fluid and wicking components. A plurality of battery cells are disposed at least partially in the vapor chamber. A cold plate is coupled to the vapor chamber, and a heat pump is coupled to the cold plate. A capillary tube may be utilized to facilitate movement of vapor and working fluid in the thermal management system. Via use of exemplary systems, improved thermal management for batteries is provided.

Abstract: A transmitter for transmitting payload data and emergency information using data symbols in a single-carrier or multi-carrier broadcast system comprises a modulator configured to modulate one or more transmission symbols with signaling data for use in detecting and recovering the payload data at a receiver and to modulate one or more transmission symbols with the payload data. An emergency information receiver receives emergency information carrying information of an actual emergency. An emergency information embedder embeds emergency information into one or more transmission symbols, wherein the emergency information is embedded within a predetermined time period after its reception by using a resource used for carrying signaling data and/or payload data if no emergency information shall be transmitted. A transmission unit transmits the transmission symbols.

Abstract: A system comprising a transponder having a user interface to receive commands from a user and to operate a virtual assistant. A micro-computer in an automobile, which is responsive to the transponder, and wherein the transponder and the micro-computer configured to have conversations. These include conversations regarding the automobile, and between a user of the transponder and the virtual assistant utilized by the transponder. The conversations are recorded and recallable at a later time, wherein the virtual assistant responds to future commands or questions from the user based on prior commands or questions from the user.

The present disclosure provides methods of identifying deep and early-stage pressure-induced injuries or ulcers (PI/PU). The present disclosure provides algorithm for computing SEM delta values which inform clinical decision-making for developing intact skin PI/PUs including suspected deep tissue injury (sDTI) and Stage I PI/PUs.

Abstract: In a general aspect, a computing system is configured to execute a quantum approximate optimization algorithm. In some aspects, a control system identifies a pair of qubit devices in a quantum processor. The quantum processor includes a connection that provides coupling between the pair of qubit devices. ZZ coupling between the pair of qubit devices is activated to execute a cost function defined in the quantum approximate optimization algorithm. The cost function is associated with a maximum cut problem, and the ZZ coupling is activated by allowing the pair of qubits to evolve under a natural Hamiltonian for a time period ?. One or more of the pair of qubit devices is measured to obtain an output from an execution of the quantum approximate optimization algorithm.
