Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided for controlling the operation of an autonomous vehicle. According to one aspect, the autonomous vehicle may track the trajectories of other vehicles on a road. Based on the other vehicle's trajectories, the autonomous vehicle may generate a pool of combined trajectories. Subsequently, the autonomous vehicle may select one of the combined trajectories as a representative trajectory. The representative trajectory may be used to change at least one of the speed or direction of the autonomous vehicle.
Abstract: Enabling point-in-time recovery for databases which change transaction log recovery models is described. If a database is associated with a recovery model that creates independent backups of the database's transaction log, a system identifies most recent backup information and a current transaction log sequence number. If the most recent backup information includes a transaction log sequence number and the current transaction log sequence number is a reset value, the system creates a full backup of the database, without first creating any independent backup of the transaction log. The system creates an independent backup of the transaction log when the independent backup of the transaction log is scheduled next, subsequent to creating the full backup of the database.

Abstract: A retaining wall having a plurality of courses of retaining wall blocks including a first upper course and a second lower course. Each retaining wall block has opposed front and rear faces, opposed first and second side surfaces, and opposed and substantially parallel upper and lower surfaces, and at least one weight bearing pad extends from one of the upper and lower surfaces. The at least one weight bearing pad extends substantially from the rear face to the front face of the block. Abstract: Real-time wind data for a location is determined based on a detected movement of an object relative to a vehicle. The real-time wind data includes a wind speed and a wind direction. Upon receiving stored wind data for the location from a remote computer, a crosswind risk is determined based on the real-time wind data and the stored wind data. A vehicle component is actuated to compensate for the crosswind risk.

Abstract: A transmitter transmits a first channel quality information report for reporting an average of channel quality measurement values of resource blocks with a first predetermined reporting frequency. The transmitter also transmit a second channel quality information report on channel quality measurement values of a predetermined number of selected resource blocks. The second channel quality information report is transmitted between two transmissions of the first channel quality information report. The second channel quality information report on the channel quality measurement values of the predetermined number of selected resource blocks is transmitted with a second predetermined reporting frequency in the periodic transmission. The first predetermined reporting frequency is different from the second predetermined reporting frequency in the periodic transmission.
Abstract: A host processing device instructs a plurality of virtual data processing (VDP) accelerators, configured on each of a plurality of data processing accelerators. The VDP accelerators configure themselves for secure communications. The host device generates an adjacency table of each of the plurality of VDP accelerators. Then the host device then establishes a session key communication with each VDP accelerator and sends the VDP accelerator a list of other VDP accelerators that the VDP accelerator is to establish a session key with, for secure communications between the VDP accelerators. The VDP accelerator establishes a different session key for each pair of the plurality of VDP accelerators.

Abstract: An animal enclosure includes a kennel body including a rotational molded wall formed from a plastic material. The kennel body defines an interior space shaped to accommodate one or more animals, and defines a door opening shaped to allow the animal to enter and exit the kennel body. A hoop-shaped door frame is disposed on the kennel body proximate the door opening. A door is disposed on the door frame, and the door is pivotally moveable relative to the door frame between an open position and a closed position. A latch is disposed on the door. The enclosure includes first, second, third and fourth feet protruding downwardly from the bottom of the kennel body. In some embodiments, each foot is a separate component installed on the kennel body.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an image processing device and method whereby deterioration of effects of filter processing due to local control of filter processing when encoding or decoding can be suppressed. A boundary control flag generating unit of a control information generating unit generates boundary control flags based on system specification information which a system specification managing unit manages. A control unit of an adaptive filter processing unit determines a processing method for filter processing to be performed as to pixels nearby a slice boundary following the value of the boundary control flag. For example, selection is made to perform filter processing straddling slices or to perform filter processing closed at the present slice. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device, for example.
Abstract: A computer includes a processor and a memory storing instructions executable by the processor to receive sensor data of an occupant of a vehicle, identify a type of mask worn by the occupant based on the sensor data, select a sound filter according to the type of mask from a plurality of sound filters stored in the memory, receive sound data, apply the selected sound filter to the sound data, and perform an operation using the filtered sound data.
